Staff were phenomenal, the apartment was comfortable, clean and the location was perfect. Their toiletries are amazing. Only thing I’d say is that sofa, while very comfy, needs some love, and the windows could do with being replaced. Also, no lift. In saying that, we had a great stay.

Beware when you book this hotel as nothing is like what’s advertised. I’m a platinum member and I have never seen any place rated 4.5* with such little or low services. They claim to have a gym onsite which isn’t true (no gym/ no spa in house it’s a third party called third space) No elevator Very poor standards of property No communication skills and low customer service I highly disrecommend it

We had a very bad adventure at Maddox. Despite the perfectly located address, we didn’t stay more than an hour. There is no elevator and steep staircase when I just received form a three month cast for a broken foot. There was no indication online that this was a full step only access. 2/ they say there is a gym with sauna which I so much looked forward to after a 7h journey but in fact there is NO gym onsite just a partnership unlike their ad states it online. 3/ last but not least the shower was molded and dirty (hairs and dark spots), the kitchen had grease marks on counter. 4/ when we tried to complain there was … no concierge and they claim they are a 4.5* it’s a scam for frequent travelers who like us traveler for business this is a real scam extremely disappointing with no customer service

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The downfall to this property is it doesn’t have any elevators. We had to carry 3 large suitcases up 4 steep floors. The rooms are nice and spacious. There are no amenities in the building. If you are staying at this property bring a small carry on.

Gem of a place to stay

Fantastic boutique hotel - spacious living area, comfy bed, fluffy towels, remote controlled air conditioning, nice kitchen area and a great location. Absolutely nothing to fault ( no lift which is worth bearing in mind but a gem of a place to stay).

Nice location, but this flat needs a lot of love…

The flat we stayed in was a 4th floor walk-up. It would be better if we knew that before hand. Second, the flat has some clear maintenance needs: a shower water temp knob fell off mid shower, the window in the living room is quite old and the lock latch was broken, and the doors to the bedroom and closet need to be oiled. The bed is old and way to soft, and the safe is poorly positioned at the bottom of the closet, which was about 8” from the bed…very difficult to get to.

The location is great and certainly unbeatable. Accessing the apartment was straight forward with the instructions that were sent. However, it would’ve been nice to know that it was a second floor apartment with no elevator. AC worked great. Windows seemed to be falling apart, sofa didn’t seem too clean, not did the living room rug. The staff I contacted through email was non-communicative, but responsive: they didn’t answer but did what I asked on two occasions that I wrote. All in all, nice place to stay, just don’t expect new and clean furnishing, and certainly don’t bring bags you don’t want to carry up a few flights of stairs.

Amazing location in the heart of Mayfair London. Very friendly staff. As other reviews have stated there is no elevator so be prepared to lift your bags up the stairs (we were up 5 floors). The room was in ok shape and is ready for some repairs and updates (e.g tired couch, paint, bath fixtures).
