This 4,500 sq feet villa is equipped with 4 Bedrooms, 4.5 Bathrooms, a living area, full kitchen, private pool, hot tub and all creature comforts including air conditioning, cable tv and wifi.

Manatee Villaā€™s first floor features an open concept living room, with a comfy over-sized couch and flat screen tv, which flows right into the dining area with hand carved dining table and a fully equipped kitchen - all with a view of the pool and beach area. The Master Suite on the first floor includes a king size bed, sitting area, flat screen tv, luxurious bathroom with oversized tub and stunning ocean views perfect for sipping coffee and watching the sunrise over the Caribbean Sea.

The second-floor features 2 Master Suites on opposite sides of the villa for a little added privacy. Each suite has a king size bed, luxurious private bathroom. The 4th bedroom features 4 twin bunk beds and full-size futon with a full bath next door. All bedrooms have in-room safes, ceiling fans, cable tv and individual A/C units.
The third floor of the Manatee Villa is an office space with spectacular ocean views for those that have to get a little work in while on vacation. Amazing Beach Front Family Christmas

We loved Serinian Bay. The food was terrible, Inky's was fun as well. We stayed in Manatee House which is private and on the beach with a private pool. We also loved David, he was very friendly and seemed to really LOVE HIS JOB. We appreciate the fantastic accommodations and look forward to going back.

Family Get to Gather

We stayed with family and friends for a week. The house was absolutely amazing. The beach, the weather, the location, everything was perfect just to sit around and enjoy the view, conversation and food. David and Christy took care of everything for us. Didn't want to leave and ready to go back.

Nirvana in paradise

Our stay at the fantastic property was the perfect blend of comfort, luxury and service. The house offers several places for our group (3 couples) to congregate while also providing very luxurious living quarters. The bedroom suites are large with all of the bedroom/bathroom amenities one could hope for. In addition, there are plenty of areas to congregate including a large living room, a dining room that seats at least ten, plus a gourmet kitchen. However, as grand as the house and property are, the secret sauce is the team of David and Christy. He manages the property: beach area, pool, luggage and transport, while she handles the cooking and cleaning. And the cooking is simply amazing. We asked her to prepare all but a few meals and were constantly wowed by her skills and creativity. Furthermore, we could not hope to find a warmer and sweeter couple anywhere. Their skills and charm were always on display and made our visit so much more than expected. Looking back, the combination of place, house and David and Christy made this trip so much more than just a vacation and we could not recommend it more highly. Thanks again also to britni, the property mgr who also helped us with the trip planning and details.

Incredible! Gorgeous! Fun!

What an incredible time we had!!! David, his wife Christy, Jen & Tobie were all amazing!! Belize and the house were gorgeous! Manatee Villa was the perfect size for the 8 of us. The ocean was fun! Fishing off the shore and the pier catching Snook Fish. Tobie arranged our excursions, the golf carts we rented plus our ride from the airport to Manatee Villa with David. Our tour guides from Captain Jakā€™s were so much fun! We went on 3 excisions...snorkeling, Mayan Southern Ruins & the Monkey River Tour. Jen scheduled our massages and our flight to Belize City. The Pina Coladaā€™s Jen welcomed us with were delicious! She makes them with ice cream!! So good! Christy baked us 2 cakes at our request that were amazingly delicious to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. She kept our villa beautiful & clean. We went out to breakfast a few times at Mayan Beach Hotel Bistro. We went out to dinner to Rumfish. David made the reservation for us, dropped us off and picked us up. We also ordered food in from Jaguar Lanes that David was so kind as to order and pick up for us. Tuttifrutti is a must! Their gelato was to die for amazing!! We were asked on our guest cards what we would remember most of our stay. Unanimously all of us answered the people we now call our family. David, Christy, Jen & Tobie, you are outstanding, knowledgeable, friendly and fun to talk to and learn from. Our stay would not have been the same without them. Althea & John Henderson & Family

Fantastic Family Vacation

We have rented several houses on Home Away but this one by far surpassed our expectations. One of our biggest concerns was that it would be out of the country but during our preparation for the trip, it became very apparent that we did not need to be worried. From the very beginning of our booking the Manatee Villa, we felt confident that we had made the right choice for our family of 10. We brought six grandchildren and four adults. Tobie, who handled the direct contact with us is located in Dallas. She answered all of our questions and spent time on several conference calls responding to our various concerns and questions about Placencia, the area, the flights, and the villa. After a 25 minute flight from Belize City to Placencia on Tropic Air, we were met by our butler, David for the short drive to the villa. We can tell you that the pictures of the back side with the patio, pool, hot tub, sand and water do not do it justice. The area is beyond beautiful and huge! We loved it from the minute we arrived. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The addition of offering prepared meals was really a plus. We enjoyed several breakfasts and dinners prepared by Junior. He was so much fun to talk to as he prepared wonderful meals for us. He was always willing to prepare what we requested. We told David he was much more than a butler. He needs a different title! We loved his laid back demeanor and ability to talk to children and adults. Sirenian Bay is a wonderful place for a vacation. The sunrises were something we looked forward to every morning. What a way to start the day! We hope to come back again!

We have been planning this vacation to Belize for two years and oh what a trip! Our family ranging in age from 6 to 14. We hade the most fun ever!!! The house is as pictures and was wonderful. If you are in doubt donā€™t be! We had so much fun! David, our go to and get it done guy, was super! I can not say enough about how wonderful he was! Life can be as relaxing or as busy as you would like. We will always remember this trip with the fondest memories! Canā€™t wait to do it againā™„ļø

Beautiful home, excellent service and amazing location!

We had an amazing week in the Manatee villa at Sirenian Bay. The home was beautiful with amazing views over the pool and to the sea. Well decorated and well laid out, the home had everything for our three generation family vacation. The staff at Sirenian Bay couldnā€™t be nicer. David handled all our requests and tour bookings and drove us wherever we wanted to go. Gilbert cooked a birthday dinner for my daughter that was so delicious, including a beautiful cake! Everyone ready to make our vacation fun and relaxing. We enjoyed the snorkeling tour, chocolate farm, our massages, drinks with Charlie and of course a lot of swimming! The week went by too fast and we will be back!

Manatee Villa

This is a beautiful home that is only a few years old and was built with much attention to detail. Everything is high quality and tastefully done. The ā€œofficeā€ on the third floor we used as a bedroom and it needs window coverings to keep the bright morning sun out. Also, there is no door on that room so noise and privacy can be an issue if you plan to use it as a true bedroom. The house is right on the beach, which is just an exquisite location and the kids really enjoyed fishing off the dock. The pool was perfect, too. The chef was amazing and having onsite staff to help us plan our outings and to drive us in the van wherever we wanted to go was very, very helpful and those were included amenities! Our family group of 6 kids and 6 adults had a wonderful time. The area is very non commercialized and Placencia is small and authentic. Placencia is about a 20 minute ride away from the house. The house is part of a larger resort that was just being built when we were there. The resort is called Sirenian Bay. There is a restaurant and miniature golf course right across the street which is part of the resort. The diving and snorkeling at the reef is about a 45 minute ride by boat. We only went on one snorkeling excursion. We enjoyed the Monkey River excursion, the waterfall excursion and river rafting and the Chocolate Farm. Unfortunately, the deep sea fishing excursion that some of the family took was very disappointing. The beach at the house is clean and calm. The kids had a lot of fun on the stand up boards. It was a wonderful vacation for us! Very relaxing and a memorable family time. We chose to fly from Belize City to Placencia on Tropic Air in order to get to the house before dark the first day and to have an easier connection without having to leave the house so early on the last day. I recommend this property highly.

5 Star Experience

Our group stayed at Sirenian Bay at the Manatee Villa and from reservation to checkout the staff and overall experience were phenomenal. David and Christie the caretakers were lovely and tended to our every need/ request. From driving us to restaurants and setting up excursions the whole team made our stay memorable and warm. The house and the premises are immaculately clean and landscaped. David prepared fresh coconut water for us on site and staff did extra little things to make us feel special during our stay. Our whole group loved the experience and booked next years 10 days already!

Beautiful house in the perfect setting

This house was really wonderful for our family trip. The beach is steps from the house and the water is calm because of the nearby reef. The house has everything you need and David and Christy, who manage the house, make it extra special. Placencia is a 10 minute drive from the house.

Absolutely outstanding!

Our family of 11 thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Sun Sand Sea. The house was far more than just a "vacation house" for our brood. We had a coordinator (Britni) work with us long before we even got to Belize on logistics and activities and while we were there, David and Christy worked to ensure everything was great! The house itself is great - plenty of space for three families! The ground level master bedroom is super convenient for older parents and the two master bedrooms on the second floor were good for parents. Those two bedrooms are just down the hallway from the "kids room." The infinity pool got heavy use as did the kayaks and SUPs. We didn't need it, but the third floor bedroom may get a bit hot in the summer as I don't think it has a dedicated A/C unit. Nevertheless, it would be hard to find anything wrong with the house. We met the owner who was in town to oversee additional construction of more units nearby. It is hard to tell what (if any) impact that may have on this house, but I'm sure everything will stay super chill and relaxing.

Beautiful home, well equipped in the beach with a pool and hot tub.

Our three generation family of 10 spent a blissful week here. David and Christy were wonderful care takers, arranging meals, trips to snorkel and hike, anticipating our every need. The house is spacious and comfortable as are the pool and beach areas. All in all a perfect vacation.

Vacation of a Lifetime!

Our family went to Belize for a blend of adventure and relaxation, and Casa Sunsandsea totally delivered! The home is impeccable and the owners have thought of everything. Although our trip consisted of 4 adults and 2 kids, the home could have easily accommodated 6-8 more people. The bedrooms provided a spacious and relaxing retreat when we wanted to relax, while the family area was open and roomy to accommodate game nights and meals that lingered on into the evening with stories from the days events. The housekeepers were a delight! David was so helpful in preparing the beach for our outdoor games, and Christy is an amazing cook! They are a sweet couple who also helped us navigate the village with suggestions for dinner and shopping. The owners have made it easy for visitors to book day trips in the area. On this, our first trip to Belize, we ziplined, floated the river, sampled fishing and snorkeling, and spent a whole day experiencing the organic Mayan way of farming and making chocolate at the Ixcacao Jungle Farm. This trip gave us stories that our family will talk about forever. Can't wait to go back!

Fabulous house right on the beach! Everything you need!

This is a very new property and right on the beach. The caretakers are wonderful and can help with anything. David is a massage therapist, and does a great job making the beach look fresh every morning. Christy is a great cook and house manager. For entertainment, the house has cable TV, internet, and X-box. Also available, an assortment of watercraft such as kayaks and SUP for cruising near the house. Bocce ball, corn hole, and ladder golf are available if you are up for a game of skill. You may also want to visit Barefoot Bar, where there is a horseshoe pitching contest on Saturday nights. There is a beautiful infinity pool and spa for relaxing next to the ocean. Most of the bedrooms also have their own covered balcony. The property managers can also help you arrange excursions. Some of the things that we did were ZipLine, snorkeling, fishing, and a visit to a chocolate farm. On the snorkeling trip, we saw huge sea turtles, giant sting rays, and a few sharks. It was very exciting. Christy cooked up the fish that we caught and made a wonderful meal along with hush puppies and sides. This is one of the best vacations that I have been on. It was the total package of a wonderful house in a great location, plenty of amenities on property, great caretakers, and great excursions. I'll be back.

Worry-free Vacation Stay

The home is simply exquisite and far exceeded our expectations! The service is unbelievable and gives you the feeling of your own private resort! The staff was extremely helpful with recommending what to do, where to go, and places to try. When one of our friends got sick, they even went to the village to get medicine, Gatorade, and made soup for her. The entire process, from booking to checking out, was a breeze. The house had everything we needed and more! We loved lying by the large pool and hot tub, and being just steps away from the ocean where we could use the kayaks or paddle boards. It was also close to numerous excursions we did during our stay; horseback riding through the jungle, zip-lining, snorkeling, river tubing, and more! This place is perfect for any group beach vacation! We are already planning our next trip back.

Perfect getaway spot!

Casa Sunsandsea is hands down the best spot for a vacation stay in Belize! It's conveniently located (near the airport, town, excursion locations, and plenty of restaurants/convenience stores/etc). I personally loved staying in Placencia as opposed to some of the more "touristy" locations. It's busy enough that there is plenty of places to go and things to see, but you also get to experience more of the culture of Belize. The house has the perfect beach-y feel; you can walk right out the back door onto the beach and infinity pool/spa. You also get access to the paddle boards and kayaks for spending beach days at the house. The house is spacious enough that everyone can have their own space, but cozy enough that you still feel right at home. The two caretakers David and Kristie are extremely friendly, accommodating, and attentive so that your stay is as relaxing as possible; they pick you up from the airport and take care of laundry, cleaning, etc. to boot. Cannot say enough good things about this place!

Ultimate Luxury

We can't wait to go back. The house is beautiful and very inviting. David met us at the airport and was very welcoming. Both David and Christy were super friendly and accomodating. We felt like they were friends and really treated us well. The small town of Placencia is fun and there are some great restaurants and bars..not to mention the best gelato we have ever had. We loved sitting outside and looking at the ocean. Personally I wish there were waves, but the calm waters are terrific for small kids and most people. The owners have thought of everything and have created a great home. We can't wait to go back again in June!

Beautiful home, great location, ultimate relaxation

We had an amazing time on our trip to Placencia and staying at Casa Sunsandsea. The home is stunning, but also very comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed the opportunity to experience Placencia and the surrounding area, and then come back to every comfort of home in the evenings. Literally - every comfort of home - from large TVs and tons of cable channels (not that you'll want it), high speed WIFI, comfy furniture and beds, fully equipped kitchen... every detail and more has been thought of. The location is convenient to going into the Village for the day, or out on an excursion, but it's far enough outside the Village to be peaceful and private. Set just off the main road, it's quiet yet convenient. We loved sitting on the balcony off our second floor bedroom to watch the sunrise and enjoy the breeze off the ocean. Seriously, the views can't be beat. You could spend all day just hanging out on the deck around the pool looking at the ocean and be very happy! We also took the kayaks out for a while (even saw some manatees!) and enjoyed running on the beach. Then we spent some time relaxing in the hammocks under the palapa. Glorious! In the afternoon and evenings, the breeze coming in through the open sliding doors on the back kept us cool. We took advantage of the meal prep services and enjoyed some amazing meals cooked by David and Christy. Speaking of, David and Christy were AMAZING. They welcomed us to Casa with open arms and ensured we were settled and comfortable. They are a great source of information and answered all our questions about Belize, Placencia, the culture, where to go, what to eat and more. And they're so much fun to spend time with, but never pushed their presence on us. They took excellent care of the house - it was clean and well kept, and any request we had was met quickly and with an eagerness to ensure our stay was everything we hoped. Casa would be great for a couple of families or three couples travelling together. With 4 bedrooms (plus the sleeper sofa on the third floor) and plenty of space, you can enjoy being together and still have privacy. The owners are super helpful and answered all of our questions prior to our trip. They have a great story behind the house, which you don't want to miss. It's definitely Texas hospitality transferred to the beaches of Placencia. Don't miss Hugh - the huge wood manatee! He sits right on their beach and is the perfect background for a photo!

The story of our Villa has been a long time in the making. In fact, it goes all the way back to 2003, when Brian received a life-changing diagnosis.

When you learn you have Stage 4 cancer and are given just six months to live, you begin to reflect on the things that are important to you.

For us it was family and loved ones first and foremost ā€“ and the wonderful experiences we could share together.

It was during that trying time when the idea of a beachside retreat came to us. But our dream seemed just that ā€“ a dream.

Brian was undergoing treatment, and we were fighting with all that we had to hold on to him.

One evening, with the lyrics of the Beach Boysā€™ Kokomo washing over us, we made a bold decision. Weā€™d fight through this, and when Brian was well enough, weā€™d begin exploring the beauty of the Caribbean.

That day finally came, and we were off to Jamaica and then Aruba shortly thereafter.

Years passed, and life intervened, but that dream was always in front of us.

Then one year our travels took us to the stunning beaches of Placencia, Belize.

With its perfect weather, gorgeous setting and wonderful people, Placencia captured our hearts like nowhere else. We knew weā€™d found the setting for our Villa.

Manatee Villa was built as our second home. When we decided to build a vacation home, we visited several locations.

When we came to Belize, we fell in love with the people and the location. In 2014, we stood on a vacant lot, and looked out over the beach, watching the sun rise between two stunning palm trees. We decided right then that this would be home - and over the next two years we made that dream come true.

Today, you can enjoy that same view while lounging in a beach chair, relaxing in the pool or hanging with friends and family on the couch - just look out between those two stunning palms and enjoy the sunrise.

Oh! Don't miss the sunset - from the front balcony on the 3rd floor you can watch the sunset over the Mayan Mountains. That's a sight that rivals the sunrise and one you're sure not to forget!
