Peaceful beachfront. Amazing view with private beach access.

Our secluded and quiet home on Manhattan Beach is located at the north end of Rockaway Beach.
You can enjoy breathtaking ocean and sunset views from our oceanfront home and walk straight to the beach on our private path in just a few seconds.
Our beach tends to be less crowded and is perfect for picnics, sandcastle making and beach bonfires.
Cocktail hour and meals are enjoyed from the deck any time of the day, as is a morning cup of coffee.
Our 4 bedroom home has 3 bedrooms upstairs along with 1 bathroom. The lower level has 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom is complete with space for clothing storage, soft sheets, fluffy pillows, comforters and plenty of extra blankets.
Kitchens are located on both levels of the home. The upstairs kitchen is fully equipped with a large selection of new dish-ware, silverware, cutlery, both teflon and stainless cookware, serving and mixing bowls, shellfish utensils, coffee makers, coffee grinder, pizza cutter, cutting boards, blender, hand mixer, crockpot, microwave, and most anything else the chef needs for meal preparation. There are chilled martini and beer glasses ready to go in the freezer. The downstairs kitchen has an additional full size fridge, microwave and range as well as counter space, cupboards and a sink to assist with food storage and prep if needed. All utensils and dishes are located in the upstairs kitchen.
The full size dining table upstairs boasts a beautiful, panoramic ocean view.
Lower level entertainment area is complete with oversized, comfy furniture, and a big screen smart TV-perfect for late night movie watching after a day at the beach. Games, cards, and DVD's are also stored downstairs and the area is complete with a 12 foot Brunswick shuffle board table.
If you're "working from home" you can plug into our AC equipped computer bar.
The deck on the lower level is weather protected and provides a peek-a-boo ocean view and perfectly stores a vast collection of sand castle equipment for all to enjoy. Additionally, it is also accessible to the beach.

The center of Rockaway Beach is less than a 5 minute drive or a 1.5 mile easy walk on the sand.
Rockaway has 7.5 miles of unobstructed beach to explore.
Wifi with high speed internet, DVD player and cable TV.
The beautiful ocean and sunset photos on our site are taken from our own home.

Please note - our driveway has parking for 3 cars. RVs and trailers are prohibited by city ordinance.

Family getaway weekend.

Well stocked kitchen supplies. Only 15 min from a Fred Meyers. The house is clean and secure. The beach is not super populated. The hosts are quick to respond and incredibly kind. We have gone here 7 years in a row and love this family tradition.

One of the cleanest nicely updated beach houses we’ve stayed at! So easy to get to location is amazing. Very easy to walk to the beach and back up as needed. My kids loved it. This house is well stocked with all your needs plus some. Beds very comfortable as well as all furniture. Plenty of space for my family :)

Amazing location

We loved being directly near the ocean it felt private and made it so easy with kids to get things to the beach. Plenty of space in the house and the view was incredible.

Great beach location.

Everything was as advertised. The beach is just a few step away. The rain didn’t hamper our visit. It was a really nice location. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

The dreamiest location! The proximity to the beach and the ocean views make this a top tier stay. We had six adults and three kids in our group and it worked great for our needs. When staying here, be prepared for stairs. You’ll find steps into the house, between floors and from the back deck down to the beach path. There is also a bit of a jump down/big step up going to and from the beach. The ability to go from the beach to the house in about one minute was amazing! We found the house well stocked and had great communication with the host. Saving this as a favorite for sure!

First Trip to The Pacific

My husband, our two adult sons and my 82-year-old mother stayed in this wonderful home for four days in July. It was absolutely stunning. The views from the deck were amazing. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. It was so nice to have two separate living spaces. Bathrooms were excellent. Our son said best water pressure! The beds were very comfortable. Walks on the beach every morning was truly something that we will never forget. We even saw a seal one morning right outside in the water. thank you so much for letting us stay in your home. We hope to be back!

Fantastic location

This home was located right on the beach. It accommodated my family quite well. I would only like to mention that the stairs were a bit steep so anyone with a bit of a disability might have a hard time but otherwise this place was perfect.

Terrific location to be so close to the beach and also to be able to see the waves through the window (so that even when it's pouring rain you're not missing out!). The place is well appointed with kitchen appliances and dishes, and there are also beach chairs and toys for kids. We didn't use the second kitchen but I'm sure it's a bonus for larger groups who could benefit from having it. The only things missing were having washcloths in the bathrooms and sponges/dishrags in the kitchens.

Rockaway beach house

Very neat and clean. Super fun place for our sister get away. Would recommend to others. One item that was a little disappointing was the krinkly pillows and plastic mattress pads.

Ideal beach location

The easy, private path to the beach is perfect. Everyone can wander down when they want, stay as long as they want. The view is lovely from the deck. Neighborhood is quiet. House was neat and tidy. The extra kitchen made prepping everything so much better.

Simply perfect stay! Exceeded our expectations! Excellent communication, clean and up to date furnishings, with everything we needed for our stay. We never even left the property - there was no need! It was relaxing and perfectly located with a short walk to a secluded beach. We had to pull the kids away from the beach, or they never would have left. The views from the upper living room are amazing! Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!

Stormy December family getaway

This property met our expectations as it was as described. It was great to have so much space with our adult children—people could spread out and have alone time if wanted. Extremely easy access to the beach! So stormy that we lost power for 24 hours, so we were glad we had brought flashlights and the place came with some. The owner was extremely responsive and friendly and let us delay our departure for several hours to enjoy our vacation more and make up a bit for the time we ”lost” due to power. Great place for families!

Quiet getaway with lots to do!

The house is amazing. Great view on the ocean. You are steps away from the beach right out the back door. Great communication with the homeowner - Before, during and after the trip. The house is big and roomy for a girls weekend. We had 5 in our group and never felt crowded. Rockaway is a cute small town. We did drive up to Astoria and Cannon Beach for a day trip. Easy drive and saw a lot. The Oregon coast is beautiful. This house is a great place for homebase while you explore.

Great place for a getaway

Lovely house that has everything you would need for a quiet stay. The path to the beach that is right off the covered patio made it possible to go for a walk on the beach between rainstorms. When the wind came up, cozying up with a movie or book still lets you listen to the surf. I didn't have any phone service, which was an issue when texting for info about the house, but that wouldn't affect everyone. It made for a place to get away from everyone else! I'd definitely come back next time I'm staying in Rockaway

We have either vacationed or owned a home in Rockaway Beach for the past 30+ years. We recently sold our cottage closer to town in order to move to a more private and peaceful location which is ocean front.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We love the fact that we can be on the beach in just seconds. We have our own private path from our front door. There are 7 miles of unobstructed open beach to enjoy.
The view is magnificent.
Our home is 1.5 miles north of the heart of town. You can be there in about 20 minutes if you walk on the beach, or just a couple of minutes by car.
Our home has two levels and has been recently remodeled. It is clean and cozy.
Both levels have full kitchens and family rooms.
There is one bedroom and 1 1/2 bathrooms downstairs and 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs.

Please note, in case some reviews seem confusing, we used to rent just the downstairs but that is no longer the case. You are renting the whole house. Years ago it was built as a duplex which is why we are fortunate enough to have two full kitchens.
It does come in handy when the kids want to stay up late downstairs and make mac and cheese!!
