Mackenzie Manor is located in Black Mountain, NC Tripadvisor's 2017 "America's Prettiest Small Town".

The private, quaint home is surrounded by very few neighbors, making it the perfect place to sit back & relax while being close enough to enjoy all that Western North Carolina has to offer. A quick 2 minute drive from downtown Black Mountain, Ridgecrest & Montreat & only 15 minutes from Asheville. Enjoy easy access to the local grocery stores & tailgate markets. Many local attractions including The Biltmore Estate, Grove Park Inn, Chimney Rock & Lake Lure are all within a 15 to 30 minute drive.

Beautiful refinished concrete floors with plush area rugs and new central heating and air. New updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. The newly refinished antique dining table seats 4.

This home has a very nice large, flat back yard with outdoor eating area & gas grill. The side yard is large enough for a game of badminton, corn hole, horse shoes or croquet. Both yards are great for children to run and play outside!

The living room has new furniture & a new 50’ HD smart TV. Enjoy easy access to Netflix, Vudu, Hulu and more using your login information.

The bedrooms have beautiful antique side tables with easy access charging ports, new mattresses & new soft comfortable bedding. One bedroom has a queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom has been updated with a full size bed.

This home has just been completely remodeled & newly decorated. All windows are covered with new blinds and/or sheers.

All linens are provided, as well as a starter supply of paper products, dish soap and laundry detergent. Extra pillows, blankets and quilts are also available for use.

It is fully equipped with everything you would need to have an amazing weekend or extended stay!

Single-night requests are welcome only on a last-minute basis, or in the case of a single-night opening on the calendar. That being said, if you need a single night and see availability on our calendar please feel free to send us a message.

Love this property!

This little cottage is delightful; sparkling clean, very well stocked, and located within a mile of downtown Black Mountain. This was my third stay here and I will definitely be back!

Relaxing Getaway

Chic & Cozy little get away!

We were blown away when we first walked in the door; very nicely decorated and felt like home. The owners were so thoughtful and helpful. Loved our stay at this little cottage and would definitely stay here again!

Immaculately clean! Quiet and convenient location!

Shane and Rebecca recently renovated this cottage and did a fantastic job. I’ve never stayed anywhere so pristinely clean and it was very comfortable! Proximity to downtown Black Mountain and other amenities was perfect. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great Family Getaway

Mackenzie Manor was just the right place for my family during our stay in Black Mountain. Mackenzie Manor was fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was great and the house was very comfortable and relaxing. I would highly recommend Mackenzie Manor to anyone wanting to visit the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.

Lovely cottage

We are sorry to hear that you were only semi happy with your recent stay. However, if you would have let us know that you felt something was lacking during your time at the cottage we would have remedied it right way. Instead you both said everything was great, so we had no way of knowing any different. As for the location; the property is a short drive to downtown, we know this as we drive it daily. The property was recently renovated and there are plenty of cleaning products at the house for our guests to use at any given time during their stay and the towels aren’t tired at all but I’ll be sure to replace them immediately.

Amazing mountain getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Shane + Rebecca's Black Mountain Home! The location is close enough to all main sites, with the feel of being tucked away in the mountains. The home is stunning and sparkling clean, with small details throughout that really just add to the charm and convenience! Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend away - we would absolutlely love to stay here again!

BEAUTIFUL! COZY! CLEAN!

A lovely place to stay! 5 Stars! We absolutely loved our time and felt so comfortable! So many thoughtful amenities and super clean. Hosts are super responsive. House is in a peaceful area but really close to restaurants and the charming town of Black Mountain. Would stay here again in an instant!

Cutest cottage near asheville

We loved our stay at the cottage. Shane and Rebecca made sure we had everything we needed and were easy to get in touch with. Everything inside the cottage is brand new and very welcoming. We will definitely be back in the future!

Great Black Mountain Cottage

The place was EXACTLY as advertised and was perfect for our long weekend in Black Mountain. Just five minutes or less to downtown and 20 or so to Asheville, the location is perfect. And the house has been so tastefully renovated. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We would definitely stay again if available the next time we’re looking for a long weekend away!

Friends Retreat

My college roommate and I (from many years past) had a wonderful stay in your charming, spotless, and oh-so-comfortable cottage. This is my second stay here and I’m already planning another visit for the fall. So close to so much…hiking, Black Mountain, great restaurants and shops and a fantastic yoga studio too! Thanks for another great stay!
