Great location! Easy access to Princeville and Hanalei. We really appreciated all the beach toys, chairs and lots of towels. Only downside was how noisy it was in the morning due to cars starting and folks on phone calls in the parking lot.

The outdoor shower was super useful! We used it after every beach day. The master bed was extremely comfortable too. The property manager's name was provided but no phone number or other means to contact him. We would have reached out because the toilet paper supply was insufficient. Overall my family had a great vacation and was very comfortable at this rental.

The home was very comfortable and well set up, with ample provisions such as beach and kitchen equipment. The location was fantastic, and we loved the "secret" path and proximity to Hanalei beach, where we spent most of our time. The communication with the owner was excellent, with quick responses. There is only one indoor shower, and if you have six people, you might find that a little inconvenient. But it worked for us, as the men used the outdoor shower at the busiest times.The only area for improvement would be cleanliness. As soon as we walked in, we could smell a strong odour that was probably stale alcohol and cigarettes. Not the owner's fault, as the previous tenants would have broken the house rules. However, this should have been picked up by the cleaners and dealt with before our arrival. The smell dissipated by the third day of airing. There was also sand on the couch and bits of food wrapping on the floor behind the tv. The dyer had sand, and the washer smelled stale and mouldy, particularly around the rubber seal. But overall, this is a lovely house, and we still had an enjoyable stay!

Beautiful Princeville home base

We had an amazing time at this property. It had all the supplies one could need while enjoying Kauai. The location was also great and allowed us to walk to several places from the apartment. The place was comfortable, clean, well appointed. Would love to stay again.

Wonderful

The house is lovely and has everything you need for a wonderful holiday on Kauai, including well-equipped kitchen, plus beach chairs, towels, boogie board and kids’ toys. It’s well located right near a supermarket, but more importantly, near beautiful Hanalei Bay Beach and its welcoming, interesting town.

Perfect Spot

We needed a place for a family of 5. This place was perfect! It was in a very safe and clean area. They provided everything we needed for our trip… beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, ice chewers, bags, even snorkeling gear and beach toys! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Check in and out was super easy. Staying here made our vacation even more special!

This home was perfect for my family. Location was great with easy access to Hanalei and Prineville. Very comfortable and probably one of the best appointed rentals I’ve stayed in. Lovely time in Kauai

The property is a 3 bedroom condo, part of a duplex in a larger group of condos. It is a short drive from beaches, a grocery store, and the quaint town of Hanalei. The north shore of Kauai is very beautiful and quiet, and it was an enjoyable place to stay. Everything was great; our only complaint was that there is only one full bath, which makes sharing the shower inconvenient when two teenagers are staying with you.

What began as a simple vacation quickly became something deeper—the island’s beauty, spirit, and friendships we built here touched us in ways we could never have imagined. Over time, Kauai called us back again and again, until we finally decided to set down roots.

Our hearts are forever split between Kauai and California. Life has taken us through challenges—our family home was lost in the Woolsey Fire while we were here on island—but those moments gave us perspective and reminded us what truly matters: family, community, and the simple joys of life.

Our little cottage is the realization of a dream shared by all four of us—surfers, seekers, and philosophers at heart. It’s a place where the rhythm of the ocean and the calm of the mountains come together, offering both inspiration and rest.

We’ve chosen to share our home with those who carry that same zest for life—people who know the value of slowing down, embracing beauty, and creating memories with loved ones.

The gem of this location is the secret 1 mile path that leads straight to Pu‘u Poa Beach—perfect for slipping into the ocean at sunrise, or wandering down to watch the sunset paint Hanalei Bay. The charm of Hanalei town is only minutes away, with its surf shops, live music at Tahiti Nui, fresh-baked mornings at Hanalei Bread Co., and incredible farm-to-table dining at Bar Acuda, Postcards Café, and AMA.

This little cottage is a dream realized for our family, and now it’s a joy to share it with others who seek the same connection to beauty, community, and the island way of life.
