Welcome to Hale Mahina! Long hidden as a luxury private residence, this Princeville pearl is now yours to enjoy. All one level, Hale Mahina offers unobstructed expansive views of the bejeweled Nanolokama Mountains and Bali Hai across the lake and the world renowned Makai Golf Course. Our 3 bedroom, 3 bath single level home is decorated with Asian island decor, antiques and artwork, and Tommy Bahama furniture. It has two master suites, both with their own bathrooms. Master suite # 2 has a jetted tub, Queen bed, quality linens and Master suite 1, a king bed, quality linens and tiled shower with double vanity. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds, quality linens, 50" flat screen TV with Blu Ray player. The twin beds can be made into a king bed upon request. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with all gadgets you would need to create a culinary masterpiece. Stainless steel cookware, rice cooker, crock pot, Kitchen-aid mixer, Vitamix blender, juicer, Keurig coffee maker, regular coffeemaker, French press, coffee grinder, bake ware, and all utensils, including a rolling pin. Filtered water and ice on the refrigerator door. Two citrus trees, one lemon and one lime that will add refreshment to your beverages when in season. The layout allows the cool ocean trade winds to flow through the home and there are ceiling fans in every room and portable ones to position where needed. The views are magnificent from both lanai's. Relax and unwind from your busy day and watch the sunset over the mountains in a very private setting while grilling on the Weber gas BBQ. Hale Mahina provides full size washer and dryer, beach accessories including beach towels, cooler, chairs, two boogie boards and snorkel gear. We have set up a ping pong table on the lanai for added fun. Everything you would need to create memories.


Please note: Parties of more than 6 guests will be charged an additional $25 per night, per guest, for the seventh and eighth guests. Also note: Princeville is a residential community of homeowners that enjoy quiet time between 10 pm - 8 am. If security is called because of continual excessive noise whether during the day or quiet time 10 pm to 8 am, a fine of $300/$400 is assessed to the homeowner for the first visit and $500 if they have to return. These charges will be billed to the guest.

Our host was very communicative and available for any questions. All information was sent on how to check in and check out well in advance. The property was well maintained, well stocked, and in a prime location. We enjoyed everything very much and would definitely book this property again for our next visit.

We stayed at this beautiful home in Princeville for 10 nights with our whole family of 7 , ages 3, 10, 12, 17, 20 and 54, and we had the time of our lives!The house was fully equipped with everything you could possibly think of and beautifully decorated . This home is squeaky clean!!!! The kitchen was stocked like a chefā€™s kitchen, and we loved cooking meals together and enjoying them on the gorgeous lanais. Both lanais offered the most spectacular mountain viewsā€”absolutely breathtaking!The kids loved playing ping pong, while the little ones were delighted feeding the beautiful Hawaiian birds and discovering the cutest little lizards. Some of our favorite moments were sipping coffee on the lanai in the morning and watching the sun rise over the mountains.We really appreciated the extra attention to detail throughout the homeā€”especially having a coffee grinder. As coffee lovers, we enjoyed picking up locally grown beans, grinding them fresh at the house, and brewing our coffee while taking in the views.Gail truly thought of everything for beach daysā€”beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, and boogie boards were all provided, which made our outings easy and fun.This home is a true gem in Princeville, and we are so grateful for the wonderful memories we made here. We would love to return again!

Wish we could stay longer!

We were very pleased with this house. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. Although there isn't A/C, there are ceiling and other fans to keep cool. I really like the Princeville location, short drive to Hanalei Bay. Patio furniture was very comfortable while looking at the great view Owner is very quick to respond.

This home is perfect in every way!

We celebrated my husband's 80th birthday with our adult children and daughter-in-law in this beautiful and impeccable home. The three bedroom & three baths offered privacy to all. The lanais and views are beautiful and comfortable. The interior decorating and cleanliness made us all feel so comfortable and at home. It has everything you will need to include all the beach gear you might need. My husband and son played golf at Makai and they could not stop talking about the experience.

Paradise Revisited

Five of us shared this spacious home. While Kauai has mostly wonderful weather, we did have a big storm pass through that kept us indoors for a couple of days. I am please to say we still loved our experience by having such a comfortable and well appointed accommodation, even without Internet access!

Amazing stay. Stop and smell the flowers or trees. Rainbow eucalyptus tree visible if you pause and look. Many amenities, quiet area. Owners very accommodating to our check in and out times. Definitely going back.

Absolutely the best stay!

We brought our family of 6, including parents and our 20 somethings to Kauai. Gail's communication was wonderful prior and during our stay.The home was perfect! It was exceptionally clean. The host thought of everything to make the home comfortable. I am going to miss waking up to a view of the mountains every morning.I would love to stay here again!

My husband & I enjoyed the homes location, it was clean, had very comfortable beds & any and all amenities you would need for a great tripā€¦The homeowner was easy to get a hold of and was very friendly too! Elegantly furnished large 3 bedroom home right by scenic small lake/disc golf course. Quiet area with lots of beautiful trees and birds. Fresh lime and lemons available in backyard. Kitchen reasonably stocked. Plenty of bathroom amenities included. Walking distance to outdoor gym/farmer's market/Foodland grocery store. Late check out provided since evening flight. Highly recommend as long as not on a tight budget. Guests required to purchase insurance coverage as well as $1K damage deposit.

Beautiful views and location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, with beautiful views out all windows. The spacious outdoor patios/decks were perfect for our family to enjoy the lush scenery. However, we did get some bug bites. The location was great and within walking distance to Queenā€™s Bath. The host was very communicative, helpful, and accommodating for our toddlers. The home was rather warm and humid without AC, though the fans provided helped somewhat. Overall it was a wonderful place in Princeville!

Unparalleled View

This was the second stay for my husband and I. This time with friends joining us. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the incredible views. We love this beautiful house in part for the location and view, but it also has everything one might need for cooking and the beach. We hope to be back next year.

Great place in Princeville

We had a great stay. The house is nice and has everything we needed. It was a bit warm (July / Aug) without air conditioning, and there seemed to be a lot of mosquitos on the patio, so we didn't spend as much time outside on the as we had hoped. But overall, a great place and we enjoyed it.

Our family of seven - my husband, Joe, & I, our two daughters, their husbands, and five grandchildren - live in Northern California. We love the outdoors, hiking, camping, playing sports (softball and volleyball), and traveling. We want to visit every National Park in the U.S. and are halfway there. There are so many beautiful places to see but the North shore of Kauai is still our favorite place in Gods creation!

We fell in love with Kauai again after many years of going to the other islands for vacations. The other islands are beautiful but the north shore of Kauai is spectacular. We first discovered the North Shore over 40 years ago when backpacked Kauai on our honeymoon. Our oldest daughter got married here in May 2017 and they too honeymooned here on the island. We have many friends and Church family and love to entertain and this house is perfect for our bible studies, dinner parties and get-togethers.
