We a large VILLA called COLONICA THAT IS PROVIDED WITH free AIRCO IN ALL THE ROOMS, as well as free WI-FI at high-speed . The Villa has been recently restored originating a villa made of 9 bedrooms (of which 5 double-bedrooms and 4 rooms that can be used as triple-, twin- or double-bedrooms), 10 bathrooms (each one with shower, bidet, wc, basin; one is suitable for handicapped people - Each bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom plus there is an extra bathroom downstairs), 2 living-diningrooms each one with fireplaces (made of stones) and TVs-sat, and each one with a small but fully equipped kitchen with all you need to cook; in addition, there is a THIRD VERY LARGE KITCHEN fully equipped with a 4 ring stove, fridge, freezer, dish-washer, microwave, moka (Italian Coffe-Maker), America-coffee-Machine, toaster, oven and kettle. Next to this kitchen there is a large diningroom able to accommodate at table up to 20/22 people and a third livingroom. Private heating. The COLONICA has 2 private shady gardens equipped with BBQs, tables and chairs in order to relax or eat 'open-air'. Wi-FI Internet Connection available in each room of Colonica. AIRCONDITION IN EACH ROOM, kitchens included!

At guests' disposal there are: private parking places; laundry service provided (we will provide you with laundry-bags in the villa) ; a swimmingpool 15x7,5 metres large. EACH ROOM is provided with AIR-CONDITIONING and free WI-FI.

On request, each morning we may buy on request fresh bread and pastries for the guests (extra to pay for). On request, a CHEF may cook for guests any day at any time (extra to pay for). We produce our own extra-virgin olive oil and wines and other homemade products. We also produce cosmetics made with extra-virgin-olive-oil!You are very welcome to join us to observe the olive and grape harvests in September, October and November, so that you may enjoy the real taste of Tuscany!

Enjoy here in Tuscany the unique experience of a WINE TASTING WITH TOUR AT THE WINERY: Ask us for details and prices if you wish to enhance your “wine culture” while having a lot of fun !
Hot-air balooon Experience on request (extra to pay for).
Upon your arrival we will provide you with the list of the best restaurants in the area to enjoy great Tuscan food at fair prices!
We may also guide you to a private visit to the Montespertoli’s wine growers’ cooperative at 15 Euro each person.
A touristic guide/cicerone is also available upon request to tour the main Tuscan towns and cities (extra to pay for).
Pick-up and taxi service/transferences available as well upon request (extra to pay for).

It is also possible to organize “Chianti Wine Tours” that may you give you also the chance to discover the Chianti region off from the most touristical tracks and make a true wine-excursion with visits to cellars and wine-tasting (on high season we recommend to book the tours or ask for quotation and availability at least 20-30 days in advance)

For groups up to 31 persons (MAX CAPACITY is 31 PERSONS) we may also offer a smaller cottage suitable for up to 9 people, called FIENILE, few steps away from the COLONICA VILLA, contact us for details.

Our family gathering in Tuscany

Our family of 17 stayed at a villa near Montespertoli. In fact the villa also was a winery and olive oil producer. Nicola was the host as well as the owner. He was available for everyone of our guest. Requests from laundry to suggestions for restaurants, to taxi services to Florence...Nicola was always available to take care of us. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue and host.

Large Family - Wonderful Stay!

Our family of 21 people (10 adults and 21 children, aged 0-11!) stayed at Podere Le Rondini for a week and had a fantastic time. The property is beautiful, and the rooms had everything we needed. Each room has its own bathroom, and there are common living and kitchen areas on both floors. Additionally, Nicola is an absolute gem and helped us with everything from dinner reservations to tours to translating, and much more. Overall, this property is an amazing place to stay as a base for Tuscany, and we can't say anything negative about it!

Experience of a lifetime

Nicola is by far the best host I have ever had. We ended up staying at both Podere Le Rondini, and his uncle's property at Le Rondini Blu. My wife and I had 28 guests in total, and got married on the grounds as well. Nicola was so extremely helpful and attentive. He answered every question with haste and compassion. The pictures alone don't do the Villa justice. This is one of the most beautiful properties I've ever been at. With easy transportation from Florence, there isn't a better place to bring a large group and celebrate paradise together. He was very resourceful and provided us with his amazing wine extensive list of stores and necessities, laundry, activities... I can continue to go on. He also provided us information to help with the planning of our wedding, including an amazing recommendation to a caterer, Chef Tales. Nicola and this villa will forever be an integral part of my marriage, and I can't thank him enough for being so helpful. Nicola, my wife and I will be booking our 10 year anniversary here as well!! Ciao

Great Place - Host Nicola is the Best !

We we very fortunate to have found a week in August still open at this property for our group of 11 after another villa cancelled a 2-week stay on us at the last minute (sending us into a full panic as the trip had been planned for 2 years). The villa was nice and adequately stocked. It made for a perfect base from which to explore Tuscany. What really made our stay special though was the host Nicola. He helped us with everything from having the villa pre-stocked with groceries, to suggestions on where to visit (including where to park) and even made dinner reservations for us at recommended local restaurants. As I am writing this, we are now at different villa for our second week in Tuscany. Despite it being a little fancier, it is missing the personal touches and warmth that Nicola brought to our experience. Highly recommend. Thank you Nicola.

Best stay in Italy!

Nicola was the consumate host. He was always at the ready, literallty anticipating our needs. The Villa was beautiful and everything we expected. There were no problems or issues that could not be readily and easily solved. Orietta, our hired cook, and her husband were amazing! We'll be back, in drier, warmer weather, however. We can't wait to simply relax and enjoy the beautiful Tuscany countryside and all its glory at least one more time!!!! Thank You Nicola for making every possible situation, the very very best!

Beautiful compound in Tuscany awaits your family.

We wanted a comfortable and well situated villa to use as our home base for seeing Florence and the surrounding Tuscan towns. Our stay at Podere le Rodini did not disappoint. Owner/manager Nicola was fantastic providing everything we requested (a/c, towels, wine to try at dinner, name of a chef, laundry etc). His wife even brought us a cake. Our villa was large, clean, fully equipped and had gorgeous views of the surround vineyards and olive groves. We relaxed happily by the large pool and dined outside. My boys ran everyday in the vineyards, laughing about a horse who would race them from inside its enclosure. We are very grateful for this experience and think other families would enjoy this fantastic villa.

Tuscany villa

We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed our stay completely. We had a group of 21 and the villa met our needs perfectly, we were able to take day trips during the day and let the kids enjoy the pool in the afternoon/ evening. Nicola was wonderful to work with and we had a chef, Franco, who was amazing as well. Fully recommend!

Perfectly beautiful

Our family trip (19 in all) was a mother's dream come true. The accommodations are lovely and our host, Nicola Carafe, was so helpful with our day trips and and any needs we had were quickly remedied. Quintessential luxurious Italian Villa with pool over looking grape and olive fields

Perfect from the start. Wonderful location in central Tuscany, just 35 mins from Florence. Endless great day trips and cycling heaven. The property is breathtaking, overlooking the valley and their working grape and olive orchards. The rooms are extra large, each with full baths, showers and seating areas. Multiple large, well equipped kitchens and gathering rooms. Kids loved the pool at the end of each day. We had 19, could have taken 24, with room to spare. The owner, Nicola, is on site and was wonderful answering all our questions , proving wine and assisting with travel plans. Note, fabulous grocery store and restaurants in town, but a car is needed. We used their chef most nights, but loved cooking in between. We stayed 9 days and just loved it!!!

Perfection in Tuscany

We rented the whole main house for 2 families occupying 7 bedrooms and there was still room to spare. The property is in immaculate condition. About 40 minutes from Florence but easy to get too if you have your own vehicle. Lots of great restaurants near by, loved Casa Di Chianti - treated like family on our first visit, and the Bistrot Lo Zero was fabulous. Nicola is great, take the tour of his winery. It only takes an hour but very fun and informative. His English is excellent which helps with getting information on things to do.

WONDERFUL ESTATE AND WONDERFUL HOSTS

PODERE LE RONDINI is a real Tuscan estate, the VILLA COLONICA has plenty of space for a large group as ours, of 20 people. Very large bedrooms, each one with its private (internal) bathroom. Nicola asked us how we liked to have each bedroom arranged (if with king-size bed, or 2 single beds, or some triple-bedrooms) and he did as requested. The Villa is very clean and tidy and has 3 kitchens. It was very comfortable. The outside is great: from the swimmingpool (VERY , VEYR LARGE) you can enjoy a wondeful view. Last but not least I have to mention Nicola and his family: he made everything and more to make us comfortable and to meet all our requests, always with a smile on his face. He is a very attentive owner and me and my family will come back here for sure. We have had many holidays in Tuscany , but PODERE LE RONDINI has been the best place ever! A true dream! Nicola can also set at guests' disposal air-co portable units that are keeping the Villa's interior at a good fresh temperature. THANK YOU NICOLA and FAMILY: you are the best!!!

Great stay with Nicola at Podere le Rondini

I was there from NY with my daughter, together with 20 of our closest family from Norway. The Villa and Nicola exceed our expectations. It was great, clean, safe (gated) and very comfortable. The pool and patio between the houses were great places to spend time with the family. Nicola was a very helpful and gracious host, always full of ideas for sightseeing or places to eat, or with provisions (wine and olive oil). We had Chefs recommended by Nicola which was awesome, and ordered lasagna for 20 from the local coop/supermarket. Overall a great experience, enjoyed by everyone from ages 1 to 60! We hope to come back!

Great stay in Tuscany.

We were a group of 17 in the big villa. The location is great, the villa is spotlessly clean, the pool is huge, and the grounds are beautiful. The villa is really set up as multiple units, so the downstairs area is a bit choppy, but we had plenty of room. Every bedroom is large and has its own bathroom. Nicola is a wonderful host. He makes the effort to be sure guests are taken care of. There are 3 buildings for guests. The smaller villa is very close to the large villa. If you're planning outside dinners, it could be an issue for your neighbors. Also, we lucked out on cooler weather, but with no a/c in the bedrooms, it gets pretty warm during the day. We all slept with open windows, so it worked out ok. Overall a great place at a very reasonable price, and a great host. Would definitely recommend.

Along with 6 other couples My husband and myself,stayed at Rondini for 8 days. It was glorious. From beginning to end our host Nicola was helpful and so friendly. The location was perfect. All our rooms and kitchens were clean and cozy. We were served breakfast the first morning at Nicolas parents home. It was delicious. He then helped us to work out the places to visit and dine. The wine and olive oil that they produce is some of the best in the region. At the end of our stay we wrote down what all we were thankful to God for on this trip. We filled a page but the best one was "I am thankful for the breathtaking view each morning out my window"

Tout est bien pensé pour que vous passiez d'excellentes vacances à commencer par l'accueil chaleureux . Le propriétaire vous donne toutes les informations touristiques que vous souhaitez et devance même vos demandes en vous donnant des plans et prospectus de la région. Il est de bons conseils pour vous garer, vous restaurer, etc... La location est agréable, la piscine a une bonne taille, le jardin est plaisant. La maison est bien conçue et décorée avec goût. Il ne manque rien: vaisselle, lave-vaisselle, draps, serviettes et même du gel douche fabriqué sur place à l'huile d'olive. Les lits sont confortables. Vous pouvez goûter les vins et l'huile fabriqués sur la propriété. Le propriétaire est serviable et aimable. L'endroit est calme et reposant, idéal pour visiter Florence et se ressourcer ensuite par un plongeon dans la piscine dominant la colline.

Absolutely Fabulous!

A longtime dream of renting a villa in Tuscany came true this year, and Podere le Rondini exceeded everything we had hoped for! Our group of 13 included couples and grown children, who all convened at the villa after different travel itineraries throughout Europe. The location, just outside of Montespertoli was incredibly beautiful. The villa was charming, comfortable, immaculate, cozy, and inviting. Each spacious room had it's own bath, and also provided a quiet spot away from the others if needed. While it was too cool to swim while we were there, the villa has a very nice pool. Nicola, our host, could not have been more helpful! He assisted us with recommendations on day trips - Lucca, Pisa, Siena, Florence, as well as restaurants we would never have known about otherwise. He helped arrange transportation from Florence when part of our group had a later arrival. We enjoyed going into Montespertoli for groceries and treats! We had 2 evenings where a chef cooked for us at the villa, and we loved, loved, LOVED the wine from their vineyard! It was a magical week spent sightseeing and relaxing, and coming "home" to our villa everyday made it even better. All of us have done nothing but rave about our gracious host Nicola and the wonderful time at Podere le Rondini. We recommend it highly!

Breathtaking and Memorable Week in Tuscany!

Our group of 7 couples (friends from college) recently concluded a magical week's stay at Podere le Rondini. Nicola, Allesandra, Paola, and their family welcomed us with open arms. After a delayed flight and long journey, we enjoyed our first meal and night together on the 2nd floor porch of Paola's residence. She had lovingly prepared a meal of antipasto, pasta"pici", skewers of pork, chicken, and outrageous sausages. All the while, the carafes of wonderful, red wine from their vineyard flowed. The meal was capped with a slice of her homemade cake and a shot of Lemoncello. The accomodations at Podere exceeded our expectations! The Capacie comfortably housed six couples while a seventh stayed in an apartment tucked behind Paola's villa. Lemon and olive trees with views of Montespertoli and beyond were our landscape. Day trips to Siena, Venice, Lucca, Florence, and the lovely hilltop town of Volterra were all reachable from our villa. Although we enjoyed our travels, the underrated, charming town of Montespertoli was a ten minute drive away. Markets, food, shopping, wonderful restaurants, and evening volleyball games were all available in this modest town. When we come again, we will likely choose to spend more time reading by the lovely (and large) pool and simply taking in our surroundings. To Nicola and Paola...how can we thank you enough for your constant patience and guidance and ALWAYS with a smile! Paola, we will never forget how you prepared a Sparkler cake for us on the 4th of July and how you danced with us to Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons!! You have not only been perfect hosts, but also, role models for how one should live life. We will never forget you and our time at your welcoming villa. We truly hope to return one day soon!!

Family gathering!

We were a large group and our host was very helpful in suggesting places to visit, the easiest way to get there as well as restaurants and so on. The villa was well furnished and every room had a fantastic view of the Tuscan countryside. Our host Nicola and his mother Poala were super. Poala cooked 2 wonderful meals for our group. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting this area. You do not need to be a large group because the villa can be divided up into smaller apartments.

Podere Le Rondini

We were greeted by our host Nicola Le Rondini and his mother Paola. Both of the couldn't have been more accommodating. The villa was lovely and our hosts were very helpful in telling us about places to visit and even making bookings for us at restaurants. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of going to Tuscany to visit Podere Le Rondini.
