Hale Halai beautify large home perfect for families & small company retreats

This 5000 square foot spacious home with an open floor plan is excellent for families, friends, and co-workers to gather and enjoy each others company. It has 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, A/C, and a private pool. Tropically landscaped grounds with a BBQ and a spacious yard. Beautiful hiking is close by and you are withing walking distance to the beach. A 70 inch TV with cable, dvd, and WiFi. Speakers throughout to support your i-pod/music. The total we can sleep is 25 people but we do charge an extra $50 per night per person over 16 people.

Excellent venue for our 50th anniversary. Quiet neighborhood. Close to PCC, multiple beaches, BYU Hawaii. Perfect for large group seeking solitude, relaxation and family time. Kudos to management staff for great property with seamless check in and out. Responsive manager.

the house was perfect for our family of 20 - 10 adults and 10 children ... pool was great ... adam was so responsive to any questions/issue we had - the freezer quit working on a sunday evening and they found a new one and set it up that night ... would recommend and stay again

Great home

We enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family of 22. Adam was very helpful in making sure we had enough beds and supplies. The home was large enough for all of us to sleep, eat, relax and have fun!!

Good Place To Stay

I would recommend this rental to anyone who want a large house setting in a quite location. It is the best stocked rental we have stayed and the kitchen was spectacular. We plan on holding another Family reunion in two years and will consider this location again. The property manager "Adam" was great and help us when we ran across problems. Great stay. Pat.

Great home for a large family

This home is so spacious with plenty of room to stretch out! Bedroom space and beds for a large group. The upstairs loft is the perfect room for cousins! The host, Adam, was quick with responses to all our questions and very accomodating. If you have a big family, this is the perfect place!

Destination wedding trip

We were here for our son’s destination wedding. They had a venue nearby for a few nights and for rehearsal dinner and the reception and room for some of the group but we needed some extra room for family so we rented this house to be close. It was the perfect spot and we loved the big open area for the kitchen, dining and living room and the outside area and pool was a great place to relax. Walking distance to a beach and store options within a mile. Would definitely stay at this house again or recommend it to someone.

Thanksgiving Family Get Away

We had an Amazing time. It was nice to have Space for everyone. All our kids that got to go had a blast! There was room for everyone to move around & not bump into someone. It was Awesome Family time that we All needed!

Perfect place for a large family!

The house is really beautiful. We are a family of 16, ranging in age from 9 to 76. The house has plenty of bedroom and bathrooms to accommodate our large family. The kids loved the pool and the nearby beaches. Lots of parking. Adam, the manager, was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Lifetime family trip

The property was very spacious, clean and good access to all north shore. Had a problem with the pool initially but Adam got the pool folks out and it was good the last half of our stay. I appreciated his quick response even though he was on his vacation also.

Great home for large group

Celebrated our 48th anniversary and this home was perfect for our family of 13. When we had any needs or questions Adam was right there to assist. The check in process was very easy and the location was perfect. Loved the neighborhood, even the rooster farm. We would definitely use this house again.

First time visiting

The house is nice and spacious. It is very clean and easy to get in and out of the neighborhood. Location is nice away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. We all had a nice time in Hawaii for our first visit and celebrating my fathers 77th bday in the process.

Great Home for a Big Group

This home was perfect for a large family or group. It was in a really good location to be able to access the North Shore as well as Honolulu. The home looked like it needed some updating but overall was very comfortable and clean. The check in process was super easy. The host was really nice and very accommodating. It was easy to communicate any of our needs and the response was fast. We would stay here again if we ever came back to Oahu.

Great place for a large group

We loved staying here. It was perfect for a big group for our daughters wedding on this side of the island where there’s not a lot of hotel options they even let us hots rehearsal luncheon.

A family get away

Great location. Convenient to beaches , Polynesian Cultural Center and grocery shopping. A little under an hour drive from the airport. Great host. Plenty of room for large family reunions.

50th Anniversary Celebration

Gathering over 30 family members for a celebration is not easy. We rented the house for 25 people (or so) and ended up with 12. There was no problem at all contacting Adam and getting numbers adjusted. He also refunded our “extra people” deposit without us even asking. The house was large, clean, and conducive to several conversations in different corners without disrupting others. The pool was awesome, even stocked with large inflatables that delighted the younger people. Wish the beach had been closer, but the ones who wanted to go to the beach were not hampered much. Neighborhood was ok. We all loved our stay. I would definitely return if the occasion arose - maybe our 75th! Thanks, Adam.

Perfect for a family reunion

The property had more than enough space for our family reunion of 15 people. The shared living space and kitchen was spacious and perfect for the group to hang out together, as was the pool. There was a little wear and tear to the property (ie. a broken shower head, some stove burners did not work), but overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Family vacation

This was a bucket list vacation, I guess the best word to use is lazy, there was 16 of us, we checked in and got settled, the master bed room tv didn’t work, the water to the soaking tub wouldn’t turn on, Adam would respond very quick, but until we told him how to fix the problems, he did nothing but tell us “sorry about that”, (lazy) at a 100 bucks a day rental would be one thing but not at this price, the other things like buying your own toilet paper and paper towels for the kitchen, that has no linens, and bath towels are only 2 to a bathroom, there are beach towels, when you look at the u-tube video of the place he says there are extra mattresses to use, we asked to use them and was told we only had 16 people so we didn’t need them, so we pulled mattresses off upper beds to fit the family’s different needs, there is a lot of little things that are broke or just need some attention, (lazy) like shower in the bath off the pool, the mount that holds the head was broke so you had to hold it to take a shower, no noise after 9 pm, really people are on vacation (like I said little things) it’s a shame, with just a little effort this place could be amazing, but looking around you can tell no one cares, and I’m sure Adams review of us will be we were demanding, we still had a great time and the pool was great! Big house, lots of space. The house smells terribly musty, they obviously don’t keep ac on when not rented. Carpet is tattered and torn. Upstairs rooms have no closets, upstairs bath has no mirror and toilet had issues.

Accurate and honest review

We had a family reunion from 8/6/22-8/13/22. There were 14 of us . Pros: 1. Pool, the pool was the highlight of our stay. It was wonderful to have access to a pool and we used it constantly. 2. AC: having air conditioning was a godsend. Hawaii is quite humid and the AC made our trip much more pleasant. 3. Laundry room - the laundry room was my wife favorite room. It was HUGE with plenty of room to fold and hang clothes. Lots of storage. We used the laundry room a lot! 4. Neighborhood - the location on the North Shore is in a neighborhood away from traffic and hustle and bustle. It is very walkable and provides easy access to the beach. 5. House size - with 14 of us we all had plenty of room. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the kitchen/dining/family areas so we all could escape for some quiet and privacy. 6. Caretaker - Adam the caretaker was very responsive and communicated throughout our stay. He took family pictures for us. He gave us the privacy we needed while communicating when we needed his help. Cons: 1. Roosters - It is common to see roosters and chickens walking freely about the North Shore. We got used to the crowing after a couple of days. 2: Condition of the house - the pictures show the size of the house but do not accurately depict the overall condition. A previous owner did not invest in the upkeep. We were told the new owner will be fixing all the issues and updating things. There are things that need to be addressed that if we had known about, we would not have rented this house. Overall, we felt the current condition did not justify the price to rent and as such we requested and were granted a small partial refund.
