This tastefully decorated one bedroom Hale Kai O'Kihei 118 condo is located right on the beach in North Kihei. You will love walking out of your door right onto the white sandy beach. This condo will provide all of the luxuries you need for a perfect Maui getaway including a full kitchen, great living area and cozy bedroom. Relax on your lanai that is just steps away from the pool area and provides amazing views of palm trees and ocean!

Bedding Configuration:
Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed

Living Room: Beautifully furnished room equipped with Hawaiian style decor and plenty of furniture to relax on after a day of activities. Enjoy a movie on the flat screen TV or enjoy the beautiful views of the tropical paradise outside.

Kitchen: This bright and open kitchen is a great place to cook a meal or serve up some pupu's and drinks. Supplied with everything you need, this kitchen will be sure to provide you with the luxuries of home.

Bedroom: This bedroom is a perfect place to rest your head after a day at the beach. Equipped with a queen sized bed, dresser and closet to store your things.

Lanai: Enjoy easy access to the swimming pool area and white sandy beach right from your Lanai. You will love relaxing here and soaking in the sun from your own lanai! Watch the whales breach in the winter and cool off in the pool in the summer!

It was a great holiday in a stunning location. We enjoyed the convenience of being in a ground floor unit. A couple of concerns/issues: the kitchen faucet needs changing and it was inconvenient that the pull out bed didn’t work, as my sister & I needed our own beds. There was also a strange outbreak of creepy wormy bugs in the bathroom one night, probably from the drains? But was beyond control is my guess? Overall, a gorgeous place to stay.

Okay

I have stayed at other condos within this property and am very happy with the location. This particular co do was not very clean. Floors were so dirty i couldnt take off shoes. The ceiling (popcorn) was absolutely disgusting in the bedroom.

Okay Place

This place needs an update - windows were totally dirty. When wind blows it whistles loudly thought he louvered windows. When my daughter first walked in she came out and said, "I think someone is inside vacuuming!" There wasn't, it was the wind blowing through the louvered windows, which were closed. Very little pride in ownership!

relaxing location

We love the location of this place. Away from busy parts with the resorts and/or hotels. Nice enough beach with a little bit of rocks in the water. It goes shallow for a long time, so perfect for kids. For snorkeling look for another location. Not uncommon to see turtles sleeping on the beach. Times grocery store within walking distance. The unit is small, outdated, but has everything one needs to spend a week or more. Main bed was comfortable, can't say the same about sleeper sofa. Ended up buying inflatable mattress for kids to sleep on the floor. Air conditioner was doable, perhaps on a smaller size or maybe just old for a unit this size, barely reached to the bedroom. Ceiling fans helped quite a bit though. Sunsets were amazing from this location. A small pool, coin/card laundry machines, barbecue/grill and shuffle board are also on site. Would come back.

3階建てのアパートのようなこじんまりしたコンドミニアムです。リビングからそのまま出ていける美しい芝生とヤシの木の庭をはさんで波打ち際までほんの３０ｍ程度。聞こえてくるのは波の音とヤシの葉が風に吹かれるサラサラという音、そして鳥の鳴き声、浜辺で暮らしているような感覚でリラックスできました。施設自体は時間を経てきている印象はありますが、豪華で贅沢なリゾートホテルとはまったく異なる静かでスローな滞在を楽しめると思います。 気になる点もいくつかありますので、以下ご参考まで。＃１１８にはランドリーマシンがないので、共同のものを使うことになります。今回は故障中のものがあったっりでやや不便でした。海の前に２－３ｍほどの土手があるので、海の眺望は制限されます（この点は２Ｆ、３Ｆなら問題なし）。管理オフィスはありますがスタッフがいないことが多く、その際には施設とは離れたところにある管理会社と電話ないしメールでコンタクトする必要があります。ハウスキーピングは基本的にありません。洗剤、せっけん、トイレットペーパーなどがなくなったら自分で調達する必要があります。マウイで生活しているような感じになりますが、そういうことを楽しめる人にはおすすめです。徒歩５分にスーパーマーケットやレストランもあります。 また施設自体のことではありませんが、周辺の情報として。マウイではノラのニワトリがあちこちにいますが、朝３時ころからコケコッコーと鳴きます（人によっては気になるかも）。滞在直前と滞在中に結構な雨が降り、山から水が流れ込み沿岸部の海は赤茶色に濁ったままでした。ハワイなのになーと思わざるをえませんでした。またその雨で道路が各所で冠水し、通行止めもありました。おそらくその影響で未明から早朝にかけて断水した日がありました。こうしたことは近年のキヘイエリアではたまに起きるようなので、その点は事前に調べておいたほうがよいと思います。

Great ocean front location and amazing sunset

We were a bit concerned about the condition of the condo due to some negative reviews. The condo unit probably has not had a recent upgrade, but it was clean, and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Although old and worn-out, their rattan tropical theme furnishing added to create a nice ambiance. There were Hawaiian art works and tropical decor throughout the condo. Kitchen had dated but working appliances, and we had enough kitchen gadgets, utensils and dishes. There is one old wall mounted air conditioner in the living room but sufficient to cool the entire unit during our stay in early May. Bed mattress and beddings were, once again, old and dated. We figured it was a decent compromise for the view and location. You can see an amazing sunset from the unit's lanai and living room. This condo does not have an elevator, so our first-floor unit made it easy to carry in/out heavy stuff. The property ground was well kept and had a pleasant garden space. Parking space was always available. Previous renters have left beach chairs and parasols, which was not mentioned on the website. We were told by the property management agency that there were no beach towels but there were plenty in their linen closet. Since we brought our own, we did not their beach towels but might come in handy for others.

Great location!

Loved the location of this property. As a family with children, it was so nice to be on the ground floor, with easy access to the beach and lawn out front. The kids enjoyed the pool, the shuffleboard too. Friendly neighbors.

Great location but poor condo

Condo was dirty & run down & needed immediate repairs which the company addressed. The owner needs to look into first having a deep clean done then even some routine maintenance & perhaps having it painted. There was so much potential here but I cannot recommend this condo to anyone until it undergoes so much work!

Perfect location, uncomfortable sofa mattress

Everything was perfect. My only complaint was the sofa bed mattress felt like a bunch of weak springs, even my kids couldn’t sleep on it. Placing it on the ground didn’t help. A foam mattress would solve for this. Everything else was fantastic.

Stayed in the same building for the last 9 years every April. This room 118 was the most worn out

Room needs updating and a thorough cleaning including under bed and behind TV stand.

Just what we were looking for, very clean and a walk out directly to the beach.

Great communication with the management company. The condo was very clean and well equipped with everything you’ll need. Very nice to be able to walk right out the sliding door to the beautiful sandy beach. Location was within walking distance to many restaurants and grocery’s. We had a fantastic experience.

Garden Level Paradise

Everything was fabulous! You can hear the waves from the condo, the beach is steps away from the lanai, and you can't hear neighbors. Not to mention that the shower has a handheld shower head. :) This condo is perfect for two people away from the hassle and bussle of the resorts.

Overall everything we needed

Overall this was a great property and was everything as listed. We really appreciated the coin laundry. The condo is a little dated but has everything we needed. Literally steps from the beach and beautiful sunsets right outside your door. Bed had a hump in the middle and wasn’t very comfortable and we were never able to get super hot water. Within walking distance of grocery store and several restaurants. Next time we would probably stay further south/east in Kihei closer to more restaurants and other activities.

Last minute trip to Maui

I was lucky to find this right on the beach so last minute. Gorgeous sunsets every night. So therapeutic to sit on the patio and listen to the ocean waves. The condo had everything I needed. Met some very nice neighbors. I would definitely come back!

Walk out to beach

The condo was as expected per the listing except for the laundry and air conditioning. Maybe I didn't look close enough because I booked this quickly. The laundry machines are coin operated and shared by the whole building with specific hours of operation. It will cost you $1.75 to wash and $2.00 to dry. The air conditioning is a single window unit that does not quite keep up during the heat of the day. At dinner time cooking in the kitchen was quite warm. We could not figure out how to get the celling fan in the main room to go any faster than low speed. That said the condo was comfortable during the morning and at night. We kept the drapes closed during the afternoon until the sunset to help with the heat. Please note that if you use the laundry facilities and the wash machine lid was left open, you may be swarmed by mosquitos when you put cloths in it. Other than that, the sunsets at this condo are beautiful and you can walk from your living room over the dune in the back yard to the beach. The building has someone blow a conch shell each evening at sunset which we found charming. One other fun fact is that you should keep the outside light off! The front door to the condo leads right into the bedroom so if you leave the outside light on it will shine right into your bedroom even with the drapes closed it is still pretty bright and we found out that with the light on the free range roosters will start crowing at you between 4:30 and 5:00 AM. Good times.

Nice, central location

It’s wonderful to sit on the lanai and watch the beach and the palm grove. The beach is just steps away. The grocery store is very close, and the food truck park is a short walk away.

Great property - check-in incompetence insults your intelligence

For any issues, incompetent check-in staff say "I will check the schedule for someone to call you back" which of course is their way of saying they will not help you. So, if you have no problems, you will have a good stay, nice property. Check-in btw is automated and timer will activate your code at 3pm, no one can over-ride (staff lead you to believe otherwise).

Amazing little gem!

This place is located right near the action in Kihei and just around the corner from a grocery store and everything that you need. Beautiful location right on the beach and a great price for a beachfront condo in that location. We will definitely look to stay here again!
