Welcome to our luxurious 10-bedroom, 6.5-bath Lakefront retreat that comfortably sleeps 40 guests. This magnificent mansion is packed with subtle custom features, ensuring a truly unforgettable stay.

As you enter, you'll be greeted by the grandeur of the main floor. The expansive master suite boasts a king-sized bed and a lavish bathroom complete with a jacuzzi, urinal, and separate closets. Enjoy breathtaking views of the poolside and main lake deck from the master bedroom's writing table, perfect for witnessing glorious AM sunrises.

The main floor also features an inviting great room with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and a wet bar, all overlooking the picturesque lakeside windows. The custom culinary kitchen is a chef's dream, equipped with top-of-the-line appliances including a gas cooktop, microwave, wall oven with a warming drawer, and a Bunn commercial coffee station. The kitchen opens up to the dining room and great room, offering wide views of the main lake. A convenient half bath powder room and a laundry room with front load washer and dryer complete the main floor.

Step outside to the lakeside decks, where you can relax and take in the stunning views of the lake, double boathouse, sun deck, heated pool, and pavilion area.

On the second floor, you'll find two master suites with incredible sunrise and sunset vistas, along with two additional sleeping rooms featuring double queen beds. The game room is equipped with solid wood cabinetry, granite tops, a wet bar, and original Limited Edition Brunswick pool and foosball tables.

The lower level is perfect for entertainment and relaxation. It features a full wet bar with a commercial ice machine, a Viking refrigerator, a full bath, an air hockey table, ping pong table, poker tables, and an incredible theater room with a wide 125" screen and luxury reclining sofas. The lakeside deck on this level offers a covered gas fire pit and a hot tub, perfect for cooler evenings.

This exceptional home also includes two laundry rooms, hardwood floors throughout the main house, ceramic tile flooring in the basement for durability, and LED TVs on each floor. Outside, you'll find a circle drive providing ample space for all guests.

Unwind outdoors while the chef of the day grills on the gas grill or in the gourmet kitchen located on the main floor deck. The double boathouse features a large sun deck, a lake-side deck, and two boat slips for easy lake access.

This is our third year at the executive mansion and we absolutely love it. Tony and his team are the absolute best. Two boats, heated pool, watched college football in the in-home theatre. A dream weekend!

Working with the host was great. He worked with us prior to arriving and always responded very quickly. The property was absolutely beautiful and the pictures did not do it justice. The only disappointing aspects was the pool was broken upon arrival and there was no bedding/blankets for the pull out couches available.

We had our office retreat here with 21 women. We had an absolutely incredible experience at this beautiful home! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how spacious ,clean and well maintained everything was. The house easily accommodated our large group. To Celebrate My Retirement

Everything was perfect. We worked with the owner of the property through VRBO and it was very easy to communicate, ask questions and get answers. We visited twice prior to our reservation date to get a feel for who would sleep where of the 40 folks on our list of invitees. The owner was always very accommodating. The entire experience was so relaxed and stress-free. The pool, the hot tub, the lake. So amazing. Thank you so much Tony and VRBO!

We felt very fortunate to find a home large enough to accommodate our family for an important reunion. It was perfect! The house had ample space for people to be together and to also find a quiet nook.The outside covered deck/patios on each level were wonderful. We spent a lot of time out there. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all well appointed. The bath towels were particularly nice, not cheap-feeling at all. The kitchen and pantry area were well stocked with plenty of dishes, flatware, and pots and pans. The A/C was also in good working order and cooled the house very nicely. Many bedrooms also had ceiling fans. We did pay extra to heat the pool which worked well until a pump malfunctioned, but we were still able to use the pool even though it wasn't as warm as the first day. The children really enjoyed the slide.The surrounding pool area would have benefitted from a wipe down. The weather didn't work in our favor for much of the weekend, so we scrapped the plan to rent the owner's pontoon boat. However, there was plenty to do, some folks even went fishing and caught fish! The wifi was OK, not the best, but that perhaps is understandable given the size of the house. The outside windows and window casings had many spider webs that blocked the beautiful lake view, a cleaning of those areas would be welcome. I recommend this property without reservation to anyone looking for a great place to host a large gathering. Tony was a responsive host; he even gave helpful area recs.

Great weekend away with Family and Friends

The property was great for 3 families together and the convenience to RDU is unmatched. We rented a boat and added in the Chef experience which made this place a great getaway! I do recommend the owners put a good cleaning inside and out on the house shortly. Nothing terrible, but it would be a huge benefit.

Incredible!

We loved this house - our entire group had so much space with 3 kitchens, the double decker dock and the 10 bedrooms. The pictures do not do the house justice - much more spacious than shown. Irvin was very helpful throughout our stay - we even extended a night because we didnā€™t want to leave. Canā€™t wait to return!!

Family get together

This house is fantastic - plenty of beds for our group of 26, kitchen appliances are high end and well stocked with pots/pans/utensils/plates etc. Tony was very responsive to any questions or needs that arose. Everyone loved the fireplace/main family room and the game room upstairs. Would definitely come back and rent this great house again.

Lovely home with tons of space and everything we needed

The home and view are absolutely lovely!! The house had everything we needed (and more) to keep our group of 18 entertained all day long. Our goal was to spend time together and the large open spaces made that easy to do on the dock, at the pool, and at the extra large kitchen table. All of our concerns were immediately taken care of by the maintenance crew. Would love to go back!!!

Great stay for our group

Loved it. Minor inconvienve with fire alarms all going off for no reason but mantinence and communication was timely. Master bath had a leak that was prexisting but also addressed buy maintenance. We all still had a great time on the lake and in the home. Plenty of meals cooked and tons of space for everyone.

We were excited for a weekend away! We had a great visit! Lots to do all the time! Thank you! I gave a three stars for our check in because we werenā€™t given our check in code until 10 minutes after check in. I had messaged prior to arriving and have never had my check in information sent so late before with VRBO.

Family getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! House is huge ! We only had a group of 7 so it was more than roomy enough. The view is spectacular!! Everything in the home was very convenient. Great outdoor setting for large group to dine with the grill right there. Everyone enjoyed the pool and slide. The game areas were also a lot of fun. Kitchen was a great size also. We would definitely go back. We had a few glitches which were quickly handled by Tony.

Phenomenal house! Perfect for our Women's Retreat!

Over 40 women from our church spent the weekend at Portside. There was plenty of room for everyone! We spent most of our time in the main living area, and had two long tables set up for eating and meeting space. Everyone raved about the kitchen and there was more than enough room to have several helping with meals at the same time. The extra oven up in the fourth floor was so helpful for the times we needed it, as well as the extra refrigerators. There wasn't one thing amiss and we had everything we needed for a wonderful Retreat weekend. The weather was perfect, and the lake views and early signs of Spring were beautiful. We will be back! Many thanks to Tony for his kindness in answering all our questions beforehand! We were so blessed to be able to stay at Portside!

Excellent Property!! Just know the heated pool isnt free:)

We had a fabulous time. The accommodations were phenomenal. I would definitely recommend and stay again!! BUT.....I recieved a text from the property manager saying I would be charged $600 for turning the heater on on the pool. Thankfully, the pool heater had a lock on it so I wouldn't have been able to turn it on. They sent a pool guy out to confirm and discovered the sensor sent a false alarm. My concern was, it advertised heated pool as a selling point. Nothing in the description said it was $600 extra. I would suggest updating the description so that guests are aware or including it in the cost. Again, definitely 5 stars on the accommodations!

What a Waste or Good Potential

House itself is large and set up decently. Upon arriving, we thought for a minute that they forgot to send the cleaning crew until we noticed that there clearly was some cleaning, just far from adequate. There were dead bugs all over and dust commonplace. Forget about the back area, which was clearly untouched since the winter and full of cobwebs and dust. The worst was that after a 7 hour drive, we were quite eager to get into bed, but most of the beds were covered in a layer of dust. We had to sit there and wash all the linen ourselves and ended up seeing sunrise before we could go to bed. (Side note: we were charged hundreds for cleaning and linen fee, of which we were not refunded even a penny of.) Now to top it all off, we woke up the next morning to discover that the internet didnā€™t work. This is after we specifically told the manager that we needed to be able to work remotely. 6 days later they sent a tech who claimed to find the problem and fix it, and it started working enough to send an email, but not even a picture. And the worst of all was the excuses and the ignoring me after I tried to reach him to resolve the issues. What a waste of a nice property.
