Just about five miles from the lifts at Heavenly Mountain Resort and seven miles from the lakefront fun at Keys Beach, there's easy access to outdoor adventure while still being surrounded by the tranquility of the mountains. You also have miles and miles of snowmobile trails off the home's backyard. With nearby lifts, casinos, and restaurants, you have everything you need for your next getaway.

Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, raccoons, mice, ants, spiders and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Absolutely love this home and location!

Perfect for a dog friendly, and family friendly getaway. The home had plenty of space and a lovely position next to a meadow, we would take walks in and let our doggy play in the snow! There was some things to note, the dishwasher didn’t really work, it turned on and did a cycle, but the soap pods they provide didnt break down at all and we had to re-wash all the dishes by hand, so save yourself the trouble and wash the dishes by hand. Also the jets in the master tub don’t work, and only half of the jets in the jacuzzi do not work. None of these things took away from our stay we overall had an amazing time, and we would consider staying at this property again.

Terrible management company ruined our stay.

The management company Vacasa was really bad. I wouldn't stay with them again. The hot tub was broken and the jacuzzi was broken as well. It took 30+ minutes on hold to to talk to someone, and when I did finally get through they were rude.

Great Stay at Pioneer Trail

We had a great stay in Tahoe! Accessing the property was easy through the key and code on the door. We found all the rooms to be clean and were happy to see the jacuzzi was working properly. Overall great and seamless stay.

Amazing Property

What a location and the house is beautifully decorated. The hot tub is a bit on the older side but the views off the back deck are wonderful. You are 20 min from Sierra at Tahoe so the location is great for skiing!

Lake Tahoe

Great location for the trip we made during February. Loved that there was a huge field at our backyard with so much snow. This place doesn’t offer wood for the chimney so just stop by and by some.

Thanksgiving 2020

My husband and I live in Panama now and decided to treat our sons, daughter-in-law, and grand-baby to a week in South Lake Tahoe. After perusing VRBO listings, we settled on Meadows Crossing. It seemed to fit our needs with 3 bedrooms, a real fireplace, jacuzzi bath (the hot tub could not be used because of covid restrictions), and nice location. What a complete disaster. First, the fireplace was clogged. Smoke immediately filled the room when we tried to use it. And yes, the flue was open. After calling Vacasa we were told they would send out a chimney sweep. This never happened. We had purchased firewood for nothing. Big disappointment as it was one of the features we had really counted on. We were expecting a fully equipped kitchen which was very important since Covid prevented us from eating out and we had to cook all our meals, including thanksgiving meal. The kitchen had a few mismatched pots and pans, about 8 forks and knives, plastic plates, knives that were so dull you could not even cut bread, much less turkey. No dish towels, atrocious kitchen table and chairs, no storage or Tupperware. Everything was very used and unappealing. The outdoor trash bin was totally full when we got there. We had no trash pickup until Thanksgiving day. The living room was gross. The large area rug was in dire need of replacement or steam cleaning and was not suitable for the baby to crawl on. The furniture was shabby, old, and dingy. Not conducive to coziness. The downstairs bedroom had 2 beds, one of which was unusable. The frame squeaked every time you moved, had no support, and should be replaced. Really awful. The extra linens in the closet were so dingy you could not consider using them if needed. Some of the bedspreads were disheveled and had tears. All the upstairs doors creaked in the house. Hard to be quiet when the baby was sleeping. The Jacuzzi in the master bath did not work. There was not even a hairdryer and I had to buy one myself. There was really nothing redeeming about this house and the price for Thanksgiving week was not cheap. This house needs so much work that I can only give it a one star out of five. The one star is for the location. I’ve rented many houses from VRBO and this does not even come close to being acceptable. I have never been so disappointed. I do not get to travel to US often and promised my family a wonderful vacation. I would expect and appreciate some recourse. I feel like the description of the house and amenities were false advertising. I wonder how long it has been since the owner has even visited this house. The entire experience left a sour note for me regarding Lake Tahoe, which should never be the case. I’m not sure we will ever return. Please respond to my email and feel free to forward a copy to the owner.

Great place!

The property is in a nice location with open forest land behind it and hiking trails. It was clean besides a few spiderwebs, no big deal. It is decorated with cool but random themes. The kitchen is big and the only complaint was how dull the knives were. All 3 bathrooms were remodeled and nice. The house is great for dogs except the stairs. They are pretty steep, might not be a problem for most, but our 10 year old dog was too scared to go down them. The upstairs bedroom has a nice balcony. Only issue here were the sliding door was missing a few blinds. Overall the house was nice and we had a good time. Would consider staying here again.

Location, location, location

The wonder of this house lies in its location. It lies on a dead end with national forest land right behind it. It makes for the perfect retreat, especially given the 2020 Blues. The house is beautifully decorated. It has a nice combination of modern and antique furnishes...loved the lamps! We had my stepmother stay in the upstairs master and she found it peaceful and loved the upstairs deck. My husband and I stayed downstairs, as it made it easier to let the pups out. It worked perfectly for us and the beds were extremely comfortable! Once the pups saw the squirrels, they asked to go outside about 3,653 times a day. The jacuzzi was technically reopened, but was not usable for our visit as a small leak had drained the water. We notified Vacasa and they responded right away and acknowledged the issue (they were planning to fix it) and told us they would refund the jacuzzi fee. Honestly, the jacuzzi made no difference to us. Sitting on the porch and watching a black bear cub play ten feet away from the deck was spectacular. You are that close to nature. Can life get better than a glass of wine with Yogi Bear? I think not! Also, the house is close to both the 89 and the 88, so you can take advantage of hiking a little farther south away from the crowds. I highly recommend the Emigrant Lake Trail and a visit to the town of Markleeville. Get an egg salad sandwich at the general store in Markleeville...trust me...it is the best you will ever have. Rent this lovely Swiss style house and I promise you, it will be the perfect break that you need from our nutty world right now! Final note...the house was clean as can be. The management company is making sure they sterilize the place between visitors, so no need to delay a trip until the pandemic is over.

Great little get away.

My wife and I had a really great time at this property. Hiking trails outside the back yard, nice big deck with fantastic views to enjoy your morning coffee on. Couldn't ask for a better time.

Awesome back yard

Great house. They have an additional step for check in where you have to physically go to the Vacasa office (opens @3pm) in a strip mall before checking into the house @4pm, we were tired and just wanted to check in but it wasn't a big deal. If you need to kill time between check in at the office & house, just go to the house and walk some of the nearby trails. We didn't get to use the hot tub due to covid but after contacting Vacasa directly they refunded me the hot tub fee and a little extra-which was nice. They didn't respond to messages sent via VRBO, I had to contact Vacasa directly. They were responsive when we let them know the bear box/trash was completely full at our arrival and had it removed within an hour. The backyard opens up to national forest with lots of trails for walking, biking or kid exploring. We walked in the neighborhood and everyone was super friendly. It was a great house and when the hot tub is available I'd consider returning.

Clean home, close to lots of activities l!

The house was very clean and the service was quick when we had questions. There isn’t any air conditioning which isn’t that big of a deal but the upstairs does get pretty warm.

Great location!

We truly enjoyed our stay here! Waking up to the smell of Tahoe and the sun rising over the meadow was magical. The trails right in the backyard were great for hiking! Mostly well stocked house. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Good place to stay. Great customer service.

The property was beautiful. The cleanliness, not to great. we arrived and found alot of dust and some spider webs. The sheets were not clean. We found hair on 3 different beds. From the previous guest. Customer service was excellent. We had some plumbing issues but they sent out a handyman and a plumber within an hour. And it was a holiday , which was very convenient for us. We had the issue fixed within a few hours. Even tho the property was not as clean as it should've been. The experience was good. Overall 3 out 5 stars.

Great Spot!

Overall we had a great stay only bummer was the jets in the master bathroom tub didn’t work but luckily the hot tub was there. Great size, stocked kitchen, big tv, close to Heavenly but still near to nature (we saw bears during our stay). Definitely recommend and hope to come back!

Awesome spot!

Overall a great spot to stay in the Tahoe area. Roughly 15 minutes from Heavenly, private and close to nature (we saw bears during our stay). It’s a great size and dog friendly, big tv and ample kitchen so there’s something for everyone. Only bummer was the jets in the master bathroom tub didn’t work but the hot tub was great to have. Definitely recommend

Amazing

Over all it was very clean, beds were comfortable as well as jacuzzi. The only thing that creeped me out was the bones in chimney and the dolls other that that it was beautiful experience I would definitely come again.
