Feel at home at the beach! Enjoy the beautiful views of the Atlantic from our back porch, pool, and hot tub; bring your pets, family, and friends! Don't let the photos fool you, we are ocean front and just a short walk down a boardwalk to the beach. Our home is located mid-island, a short drive to Emerald Isle proper. Enjoy the short walk through the the Theodore Roosevelt Nature Preserve to quiet, semi-private white beaches. While this quiet location does boast a secluded beach experience; you’ll stay current with our complimentary High-speed Spectrum WiFi internet access. Our fully furnished home features an open kitchen/living space, three full bathrooms, including master bed/bath with a king sized bed. Full and twin bed in one bedroom, with a queen in the other (linens provided). Savor the comfort of covered and open decks with great views of the Atlantic, island, and sound. Amenities include: enclosed hot/cold outside shower, charcoal grill, carport, dishwasher, washer/dryer, two cable TVs including large 60” flat screen in living area with plenty of seating!

Monthly rental rates available upon request.

Check in and out is Saturday during the normal season. Due to VRBO's new cancelation policy I was forced to restrict bookings to those days; however, in the off season we can offer alternative check in/out days, so feel free to inquire.

My husband, two dogs and I stayed here for the 6th year in a row. The house is on the ocean and has a pool. Enough said. The Hess family is excellent with communication. We had good weather for the two weeks we stayed at Ocean Panorama. We love this house!

Host was very responsive and the view was amazing. As stated in other reviews the house and furniture were dated. This is not the ritz and you do have stairs but we truly enjoyed our stay. Beach was very accessible (yes lots of stairs) we felt it was good value for the price. The pool and hot tub looked great but we didn’t use them. A couple of notes I have not seen in other reviews, linens are provided but you make your own beds when you get there. They do that so you know the sheets are clean and no big deal but you need to realize this if you get in late. Also they only allow single ply TP as they are on septic. Again no big deal but if you bring extra you should know this in advance. Our dog loved the house and especially the top deck so she could see everything and of course the beach

Thanks Patrick, We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We continue to upgrade as the years have gone by; however, we try to do it in a cost-effective manner so we can keep the rates reasonable. I hope we can continue to strike this balance with our goal of providing a cost-effective beach front vacation stay. The prices have gone absolutely crazy everywhere and the rental costs have followed. I plan to keep the same rates for next year, but it is getting harder to do that as the sea while gorgeous, is continually working against everything we provide. I hope you can come back again in the future. Dan

Location of house to the ocean was terrific.Pool was wonderfully refreshing.Kitchen utensil's, ice cube trays, baking sheets were in bad shape.Not provided - trash bags, foil, pot scrubbers, beach towels & extra toilet paper, People might want to know:34 steps (up/down) to walk on the wood boardwalk to the beach. People with mobility challenges should know this.33 steps from 1st level (driveway/pool) to 3rd level (kitchen/living-room)...is challenging to bring luggage/food into the house.

Ocean Getaway

My husband, two dogs and I enjoyed another great stay at Ocean Panorama. The house meets our needs perfectly. We love the views, the pool and proximity to the beach. Dan Hess is an excellent host. This was our 5th year staying here. We love it!

Lovely home close to everything

We had an amazing stay! The pool and hot tub were highlights. Ocean views from the decks were spectacular! We walked to the dollar general just about every day since it was right across the street. We did t want to leave!

Spring Vacation

Beautiful views

The views were gorgeous and the location to the beach was perfect, private yet very accessible. The pool was a huge part of our rental decision, and it did not disappoint. The inside of house could use some help but overall we had a relaxing vacation.

Lovely Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation. The views were spectacular. We enjoyed having coffee on the front porch and looking for dolphins. The house was comfortable and quiet-perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed walks on the beach and fishing. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool. We are looking forward to our next visit!

I have been in the eastern Carolina area for over 30 years having been bought here via the US Marine Corps back in 1989. I have since lived in GA and NC with my wife, but now make our home for at least half of the year, here on our wonderful outer banks island.

Ocean Panorama lives up to its name, even though I have owned this property for almost 10 years now, I still cannot get over the incredible views of the ocean and sound from main living area of this home. The beach is essentially private with very little traffic on this part of the beach due to the Roosevelt Preserve that you can see in the pictures. This gives a wonderful private almost deserted feel to the beach. There are of course other people on the beach, but even on the 4th of July this is very slightly populated. The short walk to the beach and the private pool and spa makes this a wonderful place for family and friends.
