OCEANVIEW Avon - Between Pamlico Ct. and NC 12 - If you are looking for a good itch or niche, try SAND FLEA. Two lots from the ocean, two lots from 12 miles of pristine National Seashore and close to sound access for windsurfing. The skytop deck has exceptional ocean and sound views to scratch away life's daily hustle and bustle. Enjoy both sunrise and sunset over the sound.

Need clearer beach access and swimming pool

The house was clean and we enjoyed it. However we were under the assumption that a pool was in walking distance and beach access would be easier.

Beach week

Very nice property that we enjoyed. Great location and great views. Decks and pirates perch could use a little work but a nice place overall.

A few small issues but definitely enjoyed ourselves.

The location was fabulous. Only thing that would of made it better was being a bit closer to the beach. There was a group of 12 of us; 5 adults and 7 kids. It was clean, no check in at the office because it was keyless entry (which I recommend to anyone), and everything that was listed was accurate...except one thing and while the realty company was easy to deal with, we had 2 people who slept on the floor or couch (which wasn't the best accomodation) all week because the sleeper sofa was broken. Had a bit of trouble keeping air in the air mattresses after many tries so one person ended up in the couch while we had to pull cushions off the other furniture for my daughter. Really enjoyed the fish cleaning table and the shower on the bottom floor. Only complaint is the sofa bed and all the stairs you have to carry groceries up (the kitchen is on the top floor of the house). We enjoyed ourselves despite the issue with sleeping. To offer some advice? Don't go barefoot on any of the decks. You will end up with splinters.

33 sand flea has the best views you can see the sound and the ocean at the same time from the observation platform.

The house needs a thorough cleaning and freshen up REALLY BAD

Pictures did not come thru but i have some

I'm not sure who will get this message but I don't feel like these issued are satisfactory.  ceiling fan  vent in sunroom one patio door  mattress shower curtain Pillow has blood on it. This is the 2nd tme that i have stayed here and it will not happen Again  Marian Spencer

Accommodating for large families/Needs upgrades

This properties size was very accommodating for our large group, but could use a few things replaced, cleaned and upgrades to make it better: The bedspreads look very dirty and old (some had stains). A deep cleaning needs to take place (there are crumbs in the silverware drawer), we tried to vacuum the carpets, but the vacuum cleaner didn't pick up anything, the dishwasher had pieces falling off of it (on the inside), but still worked, ladies be prepared- there are no long length mirrors in the house,so we had no idea what we looked like going out everyday, There's NO clear explanation on how to enter the beach from the house, so we cut through yards (it's a treacherous walk form the house)-take bug spray! The swimming pool is much further than what we expected too!Best thing about the property is the high observation deck that my husband used most nights. Also, when we first arrived, the the WiFi was not working, but a technician came quickly and had to change cords and connections and got us all set up to use WiFi. Ok property, but needs spruced up.

the beach was to far away and had no clear public access.

the decks need treated two of my grand sons ran splinters in their feet. i made them take their shoes off outside. when we went up on the top birdnest deck the house swayed.

Great value, could be better though

Pros: Fantastic location, great views, plenty of room, games and beach toys a nice plus. A/C worked better than at our home. Cons: Rickety exterior stairs, plus exterior floodlights not working, caused a couple of falls. The home is old and could use a little updating. And it had no garbage disposal in the sink, which was unbelievable. That made cooking a bit harder every night. We made a maintenance call about a TV on day 1 and they didn't show up until day three to fix it, but that is not the owner's fault. It's a;so not the owner's fault that housekeeping showed up at 8:40 on check-out day, which was off-putting.
