Just twenty-five miles from the north entrance to Yosemite, this charming cabin features three bedrooms, two baths and sleeps ten. From its large deck watch the sunrise over the Sierras, enjoy the deer grazing nearby, the eagles soaring overhead, have dinner with the family, or sip a glass of wine with a friend.
Using this cabin as your base, visit Yosemite National Park. Take in the splendor of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, El Capitan, Yosemite Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. Hike the many trails or enjoy the many attractions that Yosemite has to offer.
Take some time to relax with the activities that the Pine Mountain Lake Community has to offer: boating, canoeing, paddle boats, sailing, swimming, horseback riding, golf, tennis or pickle-ball.
Go white water rafting on the Tuolumne River. Explore California's Gold Country. Pan for gold at Historic Columbia State Park. Spend a day wine tasting at the numerous vineyards and wineries. Stop by the Iron Door Saloon, the oldest Saloon in California, for drinks or dining. Or check out the historic jail in town. Enjoyed our stay at Pine mountain lake. We were able to walk to the lake and this place had everything we needed. Warren went out of his way to make sure everything was working properly.

We had a wonderful stay at this cute cabin near Yosemite in Pine Mountain Lake! It was perfect for our family. The kids loved the bunk beds, and we loved how close it was to town for quick trips to the grocery store. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host was super responsive and helpful, even going above and beyond to help with some extra accommodations for us. The setting was peaceful, and one morning we even spotted a wild turkey wandering through the yard, which the kids thought was amazing! We would definitely stay here again.

Close to Yosemite

Location was great and not too far from the Yosemite park entrance. Kitchen is a little small but had everything we needed. Overall we had a nice stay.

Cute little cottage! It was a smaller cabin than we are used to staying in but felt like it had everything we needed. I really liked the big windows and back deck with the BBQ. Not updated inside but it was cozy enough for us. The only complaint I have is that there was a musty/unpleasant smell inside that I tried to air out for a couple days to no avail. Owner was quickly responsive to other requests we made.Thanks!

Location was amazing. It was peaceful too. Hosted responded immediately which is why I will always appreciate that. I do think the kitchen was too tight and wished it could have been more roomy. Lastly, the sink upstairs was driving me nuts, I do recall another reviewer stating the same thing. I don't want to waste the water so it would be more ideal to just get it fixed.

My family enjoyed our vacation at this property. Everything was good except ants in the kitchen and lack of kitchen stuff such as a strainer. Still, we want to stay there again next time.

Great location!

We stayed here and the house was perfect. It was so clean and welcoming. We loved the quiet neighborhood. We left during our stay to head to the snow resorts by Twain Harte and it was a quick trip with no traffic.

Nice home base for Yosemite

Nice mountain cabin that was a good home base for traveling into a Yosemite Park. Plenty of space to hang out as a family or have privacy as a teenager. Owners were easy to contact and communicate with when necessary.

Gorgeous cabin with amazing views

Staying at this cabin was a joy. The views are awesome and there are so many windows that you can enjoy the views all day long. The cabin is in a peaceful location but the lake is only a few minutes away so we were able to pack up and head to the lake for the day. The lake area is fantastic. There is so much to do and a nice marina cafe. The hosts were very responsive and attentive. We had a great time and would gladly return.

Wonderful Winter Weekend Get Away

Beautiful cabin home among the pine trees, Had a great time my boys really like the loft, they were in their own world. I enjoyed the grill, my wife loved the house. Everything you need is there. My salute to the home owner for keeping Their home so clean and cozy. Thank You

Relax in the treetops

Generally a great getaway property. Location to beach/marina and to grocery store/town was great as well. Quiet neighborhood, lots of birdsong and a few deer. Only a 25 min drive to get to Yosemite entry. Four adults stayed here and it was very comfortable for us. Some minor maintainence/upgrades is needed and ceiling fans would've been great to have. All in all, a comfy and cute place to stay,

Good location

The house is located in the pine mountain resort so you have to pay $40 for each vehicle. The waiting line is quite long due to holiday I guess. The house is a little bit small than we expected, and not so updated. Especially the carpet was not cleaned… kids get their feet dirty by walking on it.. they like the kid beds on the second floor though. Overall not a bad place to stay, we went to a town called Columbia nearby which is very fun to visit.

Lovely stay

Our family of four and one more couple recently stayed at the cabin. It was a very pleasant stay, not far from the lake (Marina beach), with nature all around us. We truly enjoyed seeing deer come close to the property and even hares. The living room was spacious and allowed all of us to enjoy each other's company without stepping on each other's toes. Having puzzles and games was an extra pleasant plus. The kitchen is tiny though, so it is a better fit for one family. We are also grateful for floats provided as it saved space in the car. A few rather minor things that would have made more comfortable stay: hooks on the bathroom doors as the bathrooms are small and there are no hooks for clothes or wet towels; a small set of drawers in the loft closet for kids clothes as there are only hangers there, fixing screen doors as they tend to get stuck in their tracks and replacing heavily scratched pots and pans. Thank you again for your hospitality.

Nice place, 1hr to Yosemite Valley, responsive owner

Our stay started with an unfortunate problem with the heating. This was a particular disappointment since we had specifically switched to this rental after a heating problem at our first rental in the same neighborhood! Luckily Warren was very responsive and had it fixed the next morning (the propane gas supply had simply run out despite being set-up with an auto-fill order with the gas company). The HVAC is actually a new Nest-based system, so he could tell there was an issue and called before I was about to contact him. I don't think future guests will have the same problem. We elected to stay elsewhere for the first night and he immediately reimbursed us for the night plus extra to cover dinner. The rental comfortably sleeps 4 adults in the main level bedrooms and loft area more suited for 4 children. I just want to mention to potential renters with very young children, the stairs and loft area balcony have rather wide slats that a small child could conceivably fit and fall through. My kids are old enough now to know better, but it still made me a little nervous and it would have made me extremely nervous if I had a toddler. The home is in a large gated neighborhood built around a lake. It has many amenities available in the summer, but not much in the winter. I also want to mention that for all rentals in this same neighborhood, there is a one-time charge for guests at the gate of now $40 (I gather there have been several increases in the last year). I felt the fee was not justified for wintertime since we could not really use any of the amenities, but Warren also kindly reimbursed this cost. I think the fee would be reasonable in summertime assuming you planned time to enjoy the lake and other activities the neighborhood has to offer. It is about a 1/2 hour to the West entrance to Yosemite along 120 (Big Oak Flat Road) and an hour all the way down to the valley.

Wonderful Memories!

We make an annual summer trip to PML, and the Wissink’s lovely home allowed us to enjoy another fabulous year! Warren and Ruth provided all the amenities we’d need during our stay as well as excellent communication and resolution for a few outdoor critter visits we experienced. Thank you Warren & Ruth for sharing your home with us. We’d return in a heartbeat.

Quite Cozy!

Very thankful for this cabin’s availability when our Yosemite reservations got cancelled last minute. My family had a great time and the owner was very pleasant. Perfect for a family with small children. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and the fireplace made for very cozy mornings.
