This home is right on Sapphire Beach with direct access to one of the best beaches in St Thomas. Sleeps 4 comfortably as we have a King sized bed in the bedroom, sofa bed in living room that converts to a Queen size bed, and a twin sized convertible love seat if needed. Kitchen and both bathrooms provide all essentials for your stay. We provide fast and reliable Wi-Fi, smart TV, cable, A/C, keyless entry, and even snorkel gear! We are located on the East end of the island near the town of Red Hook. The location is perfect as it is walking distance to marina where you can book a sailing trip, BVI day trip, fishing, jet ski rental, and many other activities. This condo is located in the gated Sapphire Bay West condominium complex and is ideal for the perfect getaway. There is a pool, tennis courts, and laundry facility on site as well as beach chairs and lounges available to guests at the beach.

Beautiful condo and location

A beautiful updated condo in a perfect location. Close to red hook and the St John ferry and on beautiful sapphire beach with an awesome beach bar and restaurants. A perfect combination for a wonderful relaxing stay.

Favorite place to stay on St Thomas

We visit St. Thomas often and Sapphire Beach is our favorite place to stay. This condo is clean. It was easy to communicate with the owner and we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Location can not be beat!

Condo is as displayed in the pictures and the location can not be beat - short walk right out to the beach! Condo has a well stocked kitchen if you wanted to prepare any of your own food - and the AC worked great. We had a small issue with the door lock being a little difficult - I contacted Jim and he had the problem solved right away. Overall a great place to stay.

Beautiful beach and great location

The unit was clean and functional. Very short walk to a wonderful beach experience. Beach attendant provided beach chairs and the unit owner provided snorkel and other beach gear. Short walk to the adjacent beach bar, pizza restaurant, and coffee shop. Drinks and food were wonderful.Taxi into Red Hook convenient and 6 each way per person. Ferry to St John in Red Hook also convenient and was just under 40 for 2 adults.Attire is very casual, we overpacked and probably used half of what we brought. We booked Marley’s taxi in advance to/from airport and included a stop at Mos market for 120 2 adults.We thought the beach vacation was a terrific blue and are planning a return trip. The owner Jim was responsive throughout.

Christmas Vacation

The beach was steps away from the condo and there was a nice bar and restaurants on the beach. The condo was a short drive to Red Hook. We took an excursion and ate several times at Red Hook. The property overall had the essentials and was in a great location. We spent most of our time exploring the islands.

Great Location!

This property has great beach access and is a short drive to Red Hook. We did not have a car, so access was important. There are several places to eat and a seaside bar located next to the property. If you need a taxi there is a stand outside the bar area. The condo was clean and had a good bed and pull out couch. Plenty of towels. It had all the amenities we needed to enjoy a great beach vacation.

Great location!

Could not ask for a better location! The condo is super close to the amazing Sapphire beach, there are a few restaurants/bars on the property, parking for our rental car was easy, and Red Hook is about 3 minutes away. Condo was clean. Air conditioning and ceiling fans worked great. Kitchen had everything I needed to make meals. The bed was the best bed we ever slept on. Jim was fantastic and responsive! He sent me info ahead of my trip so I knew what to expect. He also responded quickly to messages I sent him. Do not hesitate to book this condo! -Brad & Jen

Short Walk to Paradise

What a wonderful place to stay. With just a short walk on this gated community you are right on Sapphire Beach. The view on the beach was gorgeous. There is a bar that is open all day but closes by early evening. The condo was clean and well maintained. Also, right outside the property you can catch the "local" bus to take you into Red Hooks . The owner of the property was very helpful when we emailed with any questions. There are supplies for snorkeling, sand castle making and noodles for floating. Finally, there is a marina in walking distance to buy fresh fish, just look for the Double Header charter boat who will filet your fish too.

Excellent location but lacking in amenities

First, the location of the condo to the beach is 10/10. There are food, drink and shop options steps away and that is wonderful. The condo space is also great but it did not live up to the description online in terms of amenities-- we had zero washcloths and had to share one hand towel. There was no toilet paper when we arrived (and as others mentioned we had to wait almost an hour for housekeeping to finish before we could access). In addition, there were general maintenance issues (broken door handle, sliding door off the track, both TP holders are broken, etc). Communication was just ok with owner--he is not located on the island so there was quite a bit of lag time in response and I didn't want to spend my entire stay addressing issues so we just worked with what we had available. Would definitely rent again in the neighborhood but not this unit.

Poor management of the condo

Owner tries to manage a property in the islands while living in the states. He does not have a property manager. Was supposed to be able to get into the unit at 3 and it had not even been cleaned. Was able to get in at 5:30. A broken stove sat in the family room for 24 hours. Requested to know when it was going to be picked up with no call or text message. I had 2 - 17 girls staying with us. When they replace the stove, they turned off the pilot to the hot water heater. After two days of taking cold showers, I saw that it had been turned off so I lit the pilot myself. I let the owner know, and he did not even thank me. A small offer of compensation would’ve gone along way of which I asked for and was ignored. Plenty of places to stay in Crystal Cove Sapphire Beach, and I would not stay at this one again. Almost all of them have onsite or personal management.

Perfectly ImPerFect!!

WoW, what a amazing view and location. Let me start with saying, this was my first time having booked with VRBO. I was a little nervous, but also very very excited. I realized once i had landed in St. Thomas, i had not heard from the property owner about logistics and the check-in process (panic #1). However, shortly after making contact...detailed information was sent and getting there was a twisting turning adventure (driving on the wrong side of the road and ALL:)! Once i arrived at the condo i was able to find the unit and when i walked in, it looked like someone was moving out- i was most concerned. (Panic #2) The bed was in pieces and the condo, while neat, was in mild disarray! Contacted property owner and shortly there after, a whole crew of folks showed up and led by the AmaZinG and WonDerFuL Norma! Norma swooped in and began explaining how the previous guest had damaged the bed and she wanted to make sure i had a nice, comfortable stay. They were in the process of making it better. She had a new bed there and was getting it put together. EVerYOnE was incredible. (SIDE NOTE: Owner Jim and his family can be confident that all is well AND Norma works very HARD for the property owners to make sure the guest and needs are taken care of.) (Mild-Panic #3) TV would not work because previous guest had changed settings. Norma called in 2 neighbors, her brother and sister-in-law and then lastly a friend. I insisted it was not a big deal, but there she went again, above and beyond, and it was fixed as well. The previous season with all of the hurricane and distruction has left an island still in survivial mode. BUT, you see what you want to see. AND, the islanders need us to visit and continue to support them through our tourist dollar. Just DON'T go there and be those "impatient" Americans. Understand they are still trying to recover themselves. That being said, I settled in to a week of relaxation, exploration (Rehook ferry to St. John and dining, etc. is a short distance from the condo), and pure joy! Waking up to such an incredible view and what feels like a private beach was worth the trip. Great snorkling there too-sting rays, fish, coral reef). Jim, you and your family have a gem! Was A wonderful time-looking at returning in October. I may have found my home away from home:)

Great location and place

We stayed for seven days and we’re happy with the condo unit. The host was very responsive. We had to check in a little late because the cleaning crew was not ready until an hour and a half after check-in time, but we just hung out on the beach. Overall good experience.

Absolutely wonderful

This HAD to be the BEST place to stay in St. Thomas! Clean, comfortable, easily accessible and a very short walk to the beach, a bar in the beach, and all kinds of amenities. Hosts were easy to get in touch with and the locals were super helpful with easy access to cabs and hot spots.

Beautiful beach

Didn’t have to rent a vehicle. Taxi stand next door at the sapphire resort or the safari bus picks you up the Crystal Cove driveway entrance. It was such a pleasure being so close to the beach. Condo paper supplies were enough to get started. The bed was very comfortable, basic kitchenware. We enjoyed the condo and surrounding beaches very much. Thank you Jim.

Beautiful Condo Great Location

2 friends and I stayed in this condo and it was beautifully renovated, has snorkel gear, towels, is close to red hook and steps away from sapphire beach. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Mornings at the beach

We had a fantastic time at this property. Steps to the beach or salt water pool which we had to ourselves most days. Lovely and friendly community from the other guests to the hard working staff. The condo is very well furnished including the best fold out bed for of all time. Highly recommend this rental.

Wonderful Vacation

The condo was exactly as shown in the pictures. My 2 year old and 5 year old had plenty of room to play and sleep. There were many water toys available for them. There were also puzzles and games. Our condo was wonderful and had everything we needed. It really exceeded our expectations. I’ve been to the island many times and plan to book this property again for next year. I have also recommended it to other friends and family members. The owner was extremely easy to work with and responsive. I highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful Location

The property needs a little TLC . The owner was very receptive and responded quickly when needed. The view was blocked but you could peak out at the water at the end of the stairs.

We love the Caribbean and have traveled through most of the islands. We felt Saint Thomas was a place that we could come back to year after year so we purchased this home. We love the location and feel that you will too once you stay here.

This condo is located on the East End of the island which is perfect as you are close to Red Hook and all that this town has to offer. There are restaurants, bars, and shopping, as well as the ferry terminal which allows access to Saint John and the British Virgin Islands. Our condo complex is right on Sapphire Beach which is so beautiful and offers great snorkeling and swimming, not to mention, views of many islands in the backdrop.

We just loved the quiet relaxing atmosphere of the East End of the island and especially Sapphire Beach. You can head towards the beach bar for good music, food, and drinks or stay towards the end of the beach where it is quiet and tranquil. Having the beach so close to the front door is why we keep coming back year after year.
