Beautiful property on the lake. The house accommodated 8 adults and 4 children easily. The house amenities were nice and the yard and lake area were very well kept.The property manager was kind and very helpful with the few questions we had.I would highly recommend this property.

Lovely home on the lake

We had a small gathering for a friend's birthday and this was the perfect property. Venus was very responsive and helpful and the property was clean, well-equipped, and beautiful. Love having a dock for swimming!

Beautiful house, great spot on the lake

The house is impeccably decorated and well laid out. Plenty of space for 10+ people. There is plenty of privacy with three floors. We were there between Christmas and New Years and there is not much going on or open but the area is beautiful and could see having a wonderful time on the lake in warmer temperatures. Would definitely recommend.

Hartwell Lake Family Gathering

We had a great week long stay at the "Beach House " on Hartwell Lake with our extended family of 12. (9 adulta) Positives included: 1. Clean, spacious house. 2. Well equipped Kitchen 3. Easy access from the dock for swimming. 4. Fence along back yeard line. 4. Easy Access to Tugaloo St Park - Beach, Putt Putt, Playground Negatives 1. The primary complaint from family members was that the poor quality mattresses made for less comfortable sleeping.

Great Place - Some this beginning to Deteriorate

This is the second year in a row that we have rented this property. Compared to last year, cleanliness is starting to diminish. Bugs in lights over dining table, dirty refrigerator top, master bed rather uncomfortable and linen/covers insufficient, remote batteries dead, etc. Over the last year, they have added a wonderful concrete pathway, all the way down to the dock and repainted the back deck. Both of those amenities were awesome. Certainly excellent fishing in this area too! Unfortunately, we also experienced Hurricane Helene at this property. Devastated the whole area, but no significant damage to this property. Admittedly, I expected the property owner to check in with us post storm. Pre-check in communications were very good!

Great location

Overall we had a nice stay at this property. The location was great! Very quiet, nice dock, good outdoor space. The kitchen was not very well stocked. For as big of a group of people that can stay at this home there were not enough dishes or pots and pans to use without having to wash dishes between every single meal. There also were no dish cloths or towels to use in the kitchen. We had to go out and buy our own to use during our stay. The biggest complaint our group had about this property were the beds. They were incredibly uncomfortable, every single one. We all really loved this property, but several in our group said that the beds alone would keep them from wanting to book this home again, which is very unfortunate because it is such a great property.

Spacious Home

We loved the house. It was very spacious and we had plenty of room. When we got there, the A/C had stopped working. At first, we thought it was just taking a while to cool down from not being on. Around 10:30 at night, I called and she tried walking us through making sure everything was set correctly. When that didnā€™t work, she had an A/c repairman there the next morning. He fixed part of it and had to order a part for the upstairs unit. She explained, apologized, and he was back the very next day. I thought it was a fast turnaround and she even gave us some credit back for the 2 days with problems. I would highly recommend this property to stay at. My only complaint is the master bedroom is large, spacious and beautiful however it doesnā€™t have a good mattress. Iā€™m not sure it is even a mattress, looked like a topper on top of a mattress board. It was very hard and uncomfortable. We had to blow up an air mattress to put on top of it. Everything else was perfect! I would definitely stay here again.

Great House

Really loved this house. Was very spacious. Had plenty of room for all 10 of us. Especially liked that the five bedrooms were suitable for adults. Only one small issue - the bed in the master bedroom is not very comfortable, but this would not deter us from booking again, and we certainly plan to stay at this house again next year.

Great stay!

Location is great! You can shop 30 minutes away, white water rafting is 50 minutes away, thereā€™s boat rentals & tours, or just fish off the dock. The local Waffle House is great. Literally anything outdoorsy is around you! House itself is beautiful and accommodating. Communication was great. Would definitely love to go back!

Great HUGE overall house and lake location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very large and plenty of room. Lots of things that make it fun (pool table, back deck, beach area, hot tub, lake dock, etc). We enjoyed local spots for food, namely: * 211 Main Street Restaurant, Lavonia, GA * Southern Appalachian Smokehouse, Lavonia, GA * The Galley, Anderson, SC The towels (other than master) were quite cheap quality. Fairly limited supplies of paper towels and TP. Kitchen could have a bit more items like cups, glasses, silverware, etc as it is a big house and supplies were more limited than I would have expected. Having said all that, we'd stay there again. Thanks!

We never left the lake house!

Our group of longtime friends gathered for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the house on the lake. The dock and floating pad were used all day every day, and the house itself was great for our group, with lots of space and indoor and outdoor seating. The Blackstone grill/griddle was amazing to use for multiple meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). A little light on silverware and drinking glasses for the size of house, but we had plastic ware to supplement. Very clean upon arrival and very clear instructions for check out. We had a great visit!

Gumlog Lakehouse family Thanksgiving

Rental process was very easy. The location is perfect. The house is very nice and well kept. It looks and smells new. Nicely furnished although the main living area could use a couple of comfy chairs given the number of people it sleeps. Also the beds are not the most comfortable, but we had no issues sleeping! Very nice boat dock with a slip for your boat. Beautiful property!!

Amazing Property!

Ten of us (family) drove from opposite ends of the country to meet hereā€” in the middle. It was the perfect location for our reunion. We arrived a bit early, but Venus had no issue letting us in. You don't realize how spacious the house is until you're there. There were plenty of beds and seating to accommodate everyone, and we had no problems cooking up meals in the kitchen, despite what previous reviews had mentioned about a lack of dishes. (There were plenty of pots, pans, bowls, plates, cups, etc.) The house is beautiful, as well as the property. It's a very short walk to the lake with a private dock- the kids had a blast. We spent a lot of time on the water and even rented a boat from the neighboring park. The firepit was nice to make smores, the hot tub was great except that it started turning green by our second day there. Overall we have no big complaints.
