3 Bedroom, 3 Bath Single family home situated in "Gardens West"" in the friendly community of Playa Hermosa, Casa de la Paz will meet your needs for getting away while enjoying the coziness and warmth of a beautiful and peaceful home environment. It hosts a beautiful garden setting with gorgeous views of native plants, trees, and flowers, including red hibiscus and croton hedges, along with a well maintained community pool.

The home is open concept with beautiful wooden vaulted ceilings. Bedrooms have ample storage and closet space. Two bathrooms are en-suite, and the third opens to the second downstairs bedroom and hallway. Both downstairs bathrooms have single vanities and large walk-in showers. Each downstairs bedroom has a 19 inch wall-mounted tv with cable. The beautiful, spacious master suite is separated by the family area and is located upstairs. It has double built-in closets and dressers for a long stay, if needed. . It is also furnished with a 32 inch flat screen TV with cable and has a small office nook with wi-fi connections if you need to conduct business. The master bath has double vanities and an extra large walk-in shower. A balcony off the master suite gives you the perfect romantic place to enjoy lush tropical views or later, stargazing with a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening.

The family room hosts a large 49 inch SMART TV with cable and a comfortable seating area. The dining table seats 4, however there are 2 comfortable folding bamboo chairs that may be used to accommodate 6 for meals, as well as a bar that seats 4. A washer and dryer are provided for your convenience in the downstairs garage. The garage is available for laundry use only.

If you enjoy cooking at home, you will love the kitchen accommodations. It is spacious and includes a long, wide bar with four bar stools so your guests or family can be right there with you during meal preparation. It has ample storage space with custom cabinetry and is complete with top-grade stainless steel cookware, small appliances and ample glassware, dishes and utensils. Enjoy morning coffee on the downstairs balcony which is completely covered and if you like, prepare a nice BBQ on the large outdoor Brinkman Grill. A 2 minute walk up the street you will find delicious wood-fired, mouth watering pizza and other Italian specialties at Bocelli's. We have many restaurant suggestions we will provide upon your arrival. Also, we are a 10-minute drive from Playas del Coco if you are seeking nightlife or shopping.

Experience some of the most stunning and colorful sunsets ever. Wake to the calling of Howler Monkeys and the crowing of roosters from nearby Tico homes. Take an early morning stroll on beautiful Playa Hermosa Beach, just a 4 minute walk away. Enjoy breakfast after your stroll with amazing locally produced Costa Rican coffee. Playa Hermosa is a very sought-after destination in Costa Rica and our location is perfect in a private gated community with 24 hour security onsite. We had a lovely time in this property! It was homey and comfortable, with all the amenities. We enjoyed walking to the beach and hanging out in the pool. The sunsets were gorgeous! The location was perfect, out of the high touristy areas but easily accessible to the beach, great restaurants, shopping and the airport. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to explore all that Guanacaste has to offer :-) The hosts and management were lovely too!

Beautiful property. Well-appointed and clean. We had everything we needed. Location is great - 5 minute walk from the beach. Uber is available and the property was easy to navigate to and from. Beautiful stay in Playa Hermosa

Beautiful home, well located within easy reach of all that Playa Hermosa and surrounding area has to offer. Three roomy bedrooms, each with its own bathroom accommodated our group of four with significant room to spare. Well appointed kitchen and quiet community pool added to the enjoyment. Charming home away from home

Wonderful home near the Playa Hermosa beach

Jan and the property manager were very helpful with local info and tips. The house was clean, bright, and well stocked for all our needs. We loved the surrounding trees and foliage, We were within a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Playa Hermosa is a quieter town with a beautiful beach and is within easy reach of the Liberia airport.

Spacious and comfy

We had a great time. The house was spacious and well equipped. The kids really enjoyed having their own rooms. Beds were comfy and there were lots of beach towels and coolers to bring to the beach. The checkin process was easy and we really appreciated the early checkin after a long overnight flight.

Great family vacation rental

Overall great spot for a family vacation in Playa Hermosa. Seperate bedrooms and bathrooms made everyone happy. Easy check in process. Great to soak in the communal pool and watch the monkeys or short walk down to the beach. Good local restrants within easy walking distance.

Family Beach Trip to Hermosa

We had a very nice trip. The house was spacious and comfortable with beautiful green views. My kids loved that it was a close 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach rather than driving to add to the adventure. The shared pool was very big and refreshing. I would definitely come back again.

Great Location and Hosts

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Playa Hermosa . This house in The Gardens , West Gate , was well located . You can walk to the beach , restaurants and the grocery/pharmacy. Terrific stay!

Everything about the home, the neighborhood, and the town is accurate ā€“ ā€“ very comfortable, Lots of room, just totally delightful! The beach is so close, set an a beautiful hay. Restaurants, with very fresh food served by attentive waitstaff, are terrific.The grounds of the housing complex are filled with flowers, and birds flock overhead.

Great stay in an excellent location!

We had a wonderful stay in Hermosa beach. This property is a short and easy walk from the beautiful Hermosa beach. The house is super clean and very spacious (our 1-year old learned how to run in the large living room!). We had no issues checking in and checking out. Jan is a great host and provided us with lots of helpful information about the house and the surrounding areas. The community where the house is located is really friendly too. We really had a great time!

Beautiful quiet property. From the moment we booked, the communication was excellent. The house is perfectly located to the beach and restaurants. Love the gated community with all the pretty flowers and pool. The house has everything you want and need. Beautifully decorated. Cynthia the property manager is super nice and helpful. Extremely easy and matches description perfectly.

Very nice property with separation between bedrooms, A/C in all rooms, washer/dryer, clean and convenient community pool, stocked kitchen, spare sheets and towels. There was nothing that we felt was missing or misleading. Very nice, very clean property.

Way beyond our expectations!

I almost want to keep this treasure hidden, but I shouldn't deprive others of the experience. The house is gorgeous and spacious inside, beautifully and comfortably furnished! The pictures do not do it justice. The location is low key and central to so much. We stayed ten days and are planning to return already.

Lovely stay

Our family of 6 had a lovely time in Jan and Wes' home. The home is spacious, comfortable, and well appointed; we especially appreciated the robust amount of cookware and kitchenware. That both beach towels and bath towels were provided, along with boogey boards, coolers, etc was also a very nice touch. We were unfortunately there during a time of tropical storms and having the pool there to pop out for a swim in between rain was lovely. The house is walking distance to the beach and within driving distance of lots of lovely beaches (our favorite was Playa Pence). Shops are a quick drive away. Overall, we recommend this home highly.

I stayed at Janā€™s property for a week. My parents joined me for part of the trip. We were all happy with our experience. Some notes: - Cinthya, the property manager, was very responsive to issues that arose, - the downstairs bedrooms are nice and large. Two adults can easily sleep in there, - I recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker if you want to listen to music while there

We love Playa Hermosa. 5th visit.

So we have stayed in this Gardens West twice before in ā€œThe Monkey Houseā€ which has been sold and no longer available We enjoyed our stay very much and didnā€™t even mind that it didnā€™t have a dishwasher. The house had everything else even games and guidebooks. Donā€™t understand why no one else uses the pool we enjoyed it every day after beaching and hiking. We will probably return next October and hope to stay there again.

Perfect Place in Hermosa

We stayed in the property for five weeks. It is a wonderful property. The house is as described. It is spacious and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the community the house is in. The residents are friendly and we really enjoyed the community pool in the afternoon. The house is a short walk to an outstanding beach, perfect for walking and swimming. Also there are nice bars and restaurants. The local grocery store is about a ten minute walk. Highly recommend this house and area.

Perfect place, walkable to Beach

Jan's place in Playa Hermosa was just as expected. In fact, I think the pool is nicer than the pics do justice. It's a perfect space for families with 2-3 kids or 3 couples. The view from the master bedroom is incredible! Cynthia, the property manager, was super responsive and helpful. We did have a problem where the pool had to be drained and fixed. It was unusable for the second half of our stay, which was quite frustrating, but Jan was super sympathetic and even bought us dinner our last night as a thank you. Playa Hermosa is just a quick 5-10 minute walk down the road. The beach is beautiful (especially at sunset) but because it has grey sand, I'd definitely recommend taking a short drive and going to Playa Penca or Buena - nearby beaches that are white sand and definitely nicer than Playa Hermosa - if you can. Would definitely recommend this house.

We are Wesley and Jan Sewell. I am a retired school teacher and Wes recently retired from managing an Industrial Sales Company in Houston, Texas. We have fallen in love with Costa Rica and the relaxed Tico lifestyle. We have chosen to host a vacation rental because, like many of you, we cannot bear to be away from our adult children and grandchildren for too long. This is the perfect solution for us to still feel "at home" when we are in Costa Rica.

We chose Playa Hermosa for its friendly, low-key atmosphere. We have been coming to Costa Rica for six years and every year we are not ready to leave. We decided to look for a home so we could have an extended stay. We have traveled much of the country and for us, Playa Hermosa has the most to offer. We are four minutes walking distance from a "blue flag" beach, 25 minutes from Liberia Airport and have close proximity to everything we need including a cinema, grocery stores, nightlife in nearby Playas del Coco, beautiful scenic drives and eco-tourism in many national parks. Deep sea fishing is one of our favorite activities and we have found our perfect fisherman we will recommend. Playa Hermosa is a good home base to explore Costa Rica and relish in the abundance of its natural beauty and friendly people.

Casa de la Paz, a name we have chosen for our home, is the perfect home for us. We only looked at three homes and when we walked in we felt it had everything we wanted. The open concept layout of the home is very comfortable, definitely a great place to enjoy guests. I love to cook and fell in love with the kitchen which is furnished with the best stainless steel cookware and nice appliances. We love the proximity to the beautiful "blue flag" Hermosa Beach where we can take morning strolls and enjoy evening cocktails while watching gorgeous sunsets from one of several beachfront restaurants. The beach is not crowded, and everyone we meet is friendly. After a day at the beach there is a large community pool to lounge in or to swim laps. The Gardens HOA provides a safe, gated community with 24-hour security. Everything we need is either here or close by.
