MARATHON ANGLER'S RETREAT in Marathon is a brand new property with every modern convenience and warm coastal decor! Located right on a canal (just 15-20 minutes from open water) it has its own private dock (can accommodate up to a 30' boat), fish cleaning station, private pool, hot tub, and two single kayaks! There is a neighborhood beach just down the street and the grocery store is hardly a minute away! Located in the heart of Marathon, MM50, great restaurants and activities are within a 5-10 minute drive!

The Master Bedroom is located upstairs and has a king bed, flat-screen TV, an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and water closet. Upstairs are two guest bedrooms that share a hall bath. One is a King with a flat-screen TV and the other has bunk beds with a trundle (twin/full/twin), a flat-screen TV, and an XBOX 360 with games! The guest room downstairs has a King bed, flat-screen TV, and its own bathroom. You'll enjoy a beautiful view down the canal from the second-floor balcony and the colors from the sunrises and sunsets!

In addition to the pool, hot tub, and kayaks, Marathon Angler's Retreat has plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys and umbrella, and board games (plus a tv in every bedroom and living room, XBOX360 and games)! Enjoy grilling (both charcoal and gas grills) on the covered patio downstairs! There is plenty of parking, too, for your boat trailer and cars (covered parking for two and a parking area on the side of the Villa that can accommodate additional cars and/or a boat trailer)!

The Villa is pet friendly (breed approval, 2 dogs) with a $75 fee per dog, plus tax and credit card processing, as applicable (in addition to required damage insurance purchased at the time of booking.

The host was very attentive. I was able to text with any questions at anytime. The house was well equipped and met all of our needs.
Nice size heated pool(additional cost) and hot tub
The pool only had some sun, but the shallow part was perfect for our 18 month old grandchild.

Perfect Spot!

Marathon’s Angler Retreat was the perfect spot for our family. The location was so convenient to the grocery store and restaurants. Although, it is a little ride out to the ocean, the ride is beautiful. We loved the ease of docking the boat and the pool area is a secluded retreat! We look forward to our next stay! Meredith was so responsive and accommodating!

I spend a lot of time looking at properties and reading reviews before booking. This turned out to be our favorite rental and would definitely book again! The pool was definitely the highlight. Perfect size and actually bigger in person than the pictures look. Perfect number of bathrooms to go with the bedrooms. Set up was great. House was super clean. Plenty of beach chairs, beach towels and even beach umbrellas. This was our first time in the Keys and Marathon was an excellent location choice. Right in the middle of the keys and an easy drive to go see the sights and eat at restaurants on other keys. Property manager Meredith was easy to communicate with and was very nice! We will for sure come back to the Keys and hope to stay here again!

Family Memories Made!!!

We have stayed in many house rentals before, and none were as nice as this one. House was very well stocked with everything to make you feel at home, very clean and well maintained. The pool was a great size with patches of shade and sunlight throughout the day. The location was perfect with a 15 -20 minute boat ride to the ocean, a 2 minute drive to Publix and a few more minutes to Home Depot. Property Manager was amazing and answered our one question immediately. We made family memories to last a lifetime! We will be back!!

Great place

Clean, well stocked, dock was in great condition, pool and hot tub were wonderful. Best thing about this property is the foliage around the pool for privacy and shade and ample parking.Opportunities would be additional washcloths for the bathroom - each person only had one for the entire week and washing just 8 wash cloths is not efficient. Also the ‘neighbors’ across the canal were unfortunately train wrecks worth watching but their antics got old as the week went on. Thankfully the house blocked 99% of the music at night so they didn’t interrupt our sleep.

Great getaway

The pool was perfect for my boys! It is huge, not the small soaking pools most local places have. The vegetation makes it feel private. We enjoyed the daily visits from the lizards and crabs and the kids had fun fishing from the dock.

Charming private pool area

Great getaway home

We did enjoy the house, the pool and hot tub! The bedrooms on the street side are a little noisy with garbage pick up at 4:30 am and louder traffic. House location is perfect for the beach and groceries.

Great Place to Stay

Our stay in Marathon was great! Meredith was very easy to communicate with and the house had everything we needed. I would highly recommend to have the pool heated! It was perfect temperature for our kids - especially with the temperatures being cooler the days we were there.

Great place

Perfect for 2 families with teens! We loved the heated pool and hot tub. Kitchen was well stocked along with laundry detergent and 8 beach towels. Each bathroom had plenty of towels and we never ran out of hot water. I would recommend more blankets and know that the beds are extremely firm

Awesome!

I would recommend this property for anyone wanting to visit the keys. Not only is it a great location, with a beautiful local beach but it’s an easy drive to all the other islands as well. Meredith was quick to respond and great to work with.The house had everything we needed and more! I’d stay here again no questions asked.

Paradise

Everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location was great, easy access to groceries and restaurants. We cooked steaks one night and crab legs and shrimp 2 nights. Sombrero Beach was a short drive and was wonderful. We went to Bahia Honda State Park and Key West for other beaches. All were between 20 minutes and a little over an hour. We were a group of 8 and I did not hear one complaint about the accommodations or the area we stayed. Had manatees visit the dock and plenty of iguanas wandering around. I highly recommend this property.

Best vacation in the Keys so far

The house was exactly as we expected it based on the photos. Everything clean and well stocked with necessary items. Instructions were clear and helpful. Excellent communication with property manager. We loved the backyard with the pool and the dock. So convenient to tie off the boat after an awesome day on the water! Parking under the house in the shade is a huge plus considering the heat. Overall an A++++ rating! We had some great vacations in the keys before, but this house made our stay even better this time. Location is super convenient for shopping, dining and there's even a gym close by. We highly recommend it!

perfect location, easy access, spacious and well appointed.

We had a great time at this location. Everything we needed was there and Meredith was super responsive before and during our stay. The only gripe I had was the distance in the canals to get to open water, it takes about 30 minutes to get out to the Atlantic via Sombrero Beach. That obviously has nothing to do with the property itself, just the location.

Amazing!!!

My family and I had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful! The property manager was awesome! Definitely a great place to stay. It is a 5 min drive if thsr to a beautiful quite beach. Sombrero beach i believe. Their were 7 adults and we had plenety of room for us all. The one room had bunk beds and my 6ft adult child fit on the bottom bunk just fine. Definitely recommend!

This home has it all!

From our booking to our checkout, Meredith was prompt in answering any questions we had and the home has a beautiful pool, comfortable beds, and had everything we needed to feel at home! Close to the beach and grocery store was a huge plus so you’re not wasting time driving to get groceries or to get to the beach. We had a manatee come up to the dock and we got video and pics that was a highlight to see those beautiful creatures in their habitat. We would love to come back and stay here when we visit again! Thank you for the memories!

Loved the pool & hot tub but would suggest a bathroom located outside near the garage so you don't have to climb the stairs every time you need to use the bathroom

Meredith is a Property Manager and owns Pineapple Properties of the Florida Keys. She is thrilled to represent the owners. Meredith is a fifth-generation native Floridian, Meredith's first visit to the Florida Keys was 35 years ago when she was 18 years old. She went sport fishing with the legendary Captain Skip Bradeen in Islamorada, explored the islands from Key Largo to Key West, and was hooked! Meredith, her husband Barry, a realtor, and their children enjoyed vacationing in the keys for many years and after raising their family in Winter Park, Florida, Barry and Meredith moved here full time! She loves helping guests with personal recommendations of all her favorite spots to help make their vacation better than they ever imagined!
