The Space:

Welcome to The Sand & The Sea- a modern coastal 4 bedroom, 3 bath half-duplex home that can accommodate up to 10 guests comfortably. Enjoy your own private pool, 26 ft. dock and fish cleaning station, all while being minutes from Sombrero Beach (Just 1.4 miles)!



This fully equipped Villa offers two private King Master Suites and a large guest bedroom with king bed and flat-screen TV. The upstairs Guest Bathroom is easily accessible from the King Guest Bedroom and from the additional Bunk Bed guest room offering 2 Full-Size Beds.



The living room features ample seating, a flat-screen TV and access to the balcony where you and your guests can enjoy stunning views while relaxing or entertaining outdoors. The spacious kitchen has a breakfast bar with seating for 3 which is great for enjoying company while preparing meals or serving drinks and hors-d'oeuvres. Right beside the Kitchen Area and Breakfast Bar, your guests can enjoy their meal in the Dining area with seating for 4.



There is covered parking for two and additional parking for cars and boat trailers. Relaxing water views from the covered patio that you could enjoy from sunrise to sunset. Everything you want and need to enjoy an Island vacation.



Just a couple minutes up from Sombrero Beach, this Villa is located in the heart of Marathon with all of your favorite restaurants, shops and stores close by. Publix is just one minute away! This Home is about an hour from Key West for a nice day trip or you can visit Bahia Honda State Park and Beach which is just 20 minutes away.

Great property. Attentive management

Overall it was very nice. The sleeping arrangements were not exactly as it was listed so that posed a problem for us but I think they are addressing it. Had a few other issues which were also addressed quickly. Property was very clean and a great location.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very nice, immaculate, spacious, and close to everything you need. Communication was consistent and very helpful. We would stay there again.

The house was clean, we were able to check in early that was nice! Communication was exceptional. Enough space for our group of 9. House was much bigger than expected. Would stay here again.

Great place

Great place- with 4 bedrooms everyone could spread out when they wanted to. Beds were all very comfortable. Could have used a couple more chaise lounges by the pool. Location is fantastic! So close to groceries, Beach and tons of restaurants.

Great house and location-needs a little love.

The house was great and the location fantastic! Clean! Pool was great! But there are some things that need attention (fan and light did not work on balcony, downstairs furniture somewhat tired) and the outside could use more chairs, other amenities, maybe a tv. But overall, great house! Would recommend. Loud neighbors across the channel, but that is out of owners and property managers control.

Was glad to leaveā€¦

Planned this vaca to stay for 2 weeks. Upon arrival, turning down beds, 4/5 used, sheets were dirty and stained, seemed not to be washed from previous renters. Day 2 saw ants, day3-5 roaches(German). Was treated by the reality office like we were a bother and forced to only communicate through email after an naturally upset conversation on the phone. Needless to say we left on day 6 and money was thankfully refunded to us! Also, living room and all outside furniture is old, worn & stained. Neighbor across the lagoon was creepy with my teenage girls in the pool. What a awful experience for my family of 5.

Good house and location

Our pool turned green Thursday and it wasn't usable tii 415 Friday guessing the pool chemicals weren't right and caused rashes on me and others in the house. Other than that it's a great house an hour or so to key west. It was clean and comfortable seeing how I got stuck in it the last three days of our family vacation slipped disk.

Only draw back was lack of kitchen towels and hand towels for bathrooms. Had to run and get toilet paper and paper towel. And the only thing I found uncleanly was the carpet on the stairs. Otherwise all was good.

College friends reunion

Great location- close to the beach and town. Well-stocked kitchen. Beautifully furnished. Pool was awesome. Even had a manatee visit our dock! Hope to come again someday!!

Great Time

We had a family wedding in Marathon. Decided to enjoy a vacation at the same time. We rented for 8 days, enjoyed all eight days. The house was perfect for our family and the grandchildren loved the pool. Very relaxing time. Also, you can't beat the weather.

Place was very clean and cozy! Would rent again for sure! The pool was warm and the weather couldn't have been any better! We were able to see manatees off the deck, a decent size iguana made his appearance, and other sea life fish. Only thing I wish we had at the house was kayaks but you can always rent those.

Great location, clean, but ameneties could have been better

Overall, I gave this property 4 stars. Took off a star for check-in process and lack of supplies. The check-in process was more difficult than it needed to be. We received a text from the property manager with the code for the lockbox which did not work. However, it did work for the deadbolt on the top of the stairs. After a 12+ hour day of travel, we just wanted to get into the house but could not. We did reach out to the property manager via phone, left a message and sent a text. 20-30 min later we get a text with the lockbox code, no other explanation or apology for giving us the wrong code. Luckily that worked and we were able to get into the lockbox to get the key and finally unlock the door. It would have been nice to be given both the deadlock code and the lockbox code in the welcome text message so we could check-in without issues or waiting for responses. Secondly, we were told that they left a few things to get us started. Not sure what those things were - the house had no paper towels, no tissues, no extra garbage bags, no dish soap, and even though the house had 3 bathrooms, only one bathroom had toilet paper (and only one roll). The other bathrooms did not have any toilet paper whatsoever so we needed to make a trip to the grocery store to get these items right away. I would expect at the very least that each bathroom would have one roll of toilet paper. Other than those inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay there. The location was perfect - close to Sombrero Beach (1.5 miles), 20 min drive to Bahia Honda State Park (our favorite beach area), and about 1 hour to Key West and 1 hour to Key Largo. A Publix grocery store was located a half mile away. Our kids loved the pool and spent many hours in that. The beds were comfortable and the layout of the house worked well for our family.

Great Family Spot

Plenty of space for the 10 of us. Kids and adults enjoyed the pool and paddled around canal. It was a 2 mi trip to the ocean via canal and about the same distance drive to the beach. Beautiful spot.

Beautiful Home on the Canal

We have visited Marathon many times before, and typically bring our boat. So the canal was a must for us. This was a beautiful home, very clean and pretty well stocked with essentials. The property management group was in good communication throughout our stay and easy to get ahold of if we needed anything. The pool was so convenient during the hot days and was a favorite for our kids. The beach is about a mile and a half down the road and Publix just around the corner. We loved our stay.

Another great trip to Marathon Florida

This was our second time staying in one of these houses on Sombrero Beach Rd. Great location. House is very accommodating for 8 people. Had two issues and they were resolved immediately. Will be back again for sure!

Recently spent a week at this great house with family and friends ranging from 4 - 62 years old! Beds were great and comfy, bathrooms were spacious, kitchen was well stocked, pool was perfect size - this is a great place for all.

Great house for our family vacation

This house worked perfect for our family vacation. We had 5 adults and 2 children with plenty of room. The pool was immaculate and very warm for those cooler nights in January. We swam every night and enjoyed watching the boats in the canal. The beach was not close enough to walk to every day, but it only took 5 minutes to get there and there is plenty of parking for free. Our only problem was there is not enough towels and we had to wash them about every day, when we arrived there was only 1 wash cloth in the place, but they quickly brought more by when asked. There is enough supplies to get you started, but not for a week so you will need garbage bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap and laundry soap. The only complaint about the house is that the furnishings are not very comfortable. It all has hard surfaces and sharp corners, not very good for a 2 year old running around. The deck furniture was extremely uncomfortable. The patio chairs and table by the pool were good though. We had a great time here and would recommend this rental.
