Family Vacation 2025

Beautiful property right on Lake Michigan. Lots of space for everyone to kick back and relax. We did a lot of that at this little retreat. Beautiful sunrises, morning walks on the beach. Coffee on the patio while listening to the waves. We would definitely go back!

Beach Nirvana

Cute, comfortable cottage with plenty of light, relaxing sounds of surf and an excellent beach. Love being near Sheboygan (and Kohler) and even nearer to Oostburg, a lovely little town I remember fondly from my youth. Cyndi is wonderful, a helpful and responsive host, easy to communicate with. Highly recommend to anyone considering a stay on Lake Michigan.

Small Castle, Big Beach

We are unable to say anything bad, anything wrong! This castle cottage provided me and my family of 5 others the perfect indoor and outdoor spaces for gathering and celebrating RELAXATION. The provided sand was perfect! Bin of sand tools put to good use.The kitchen was perfectly stocked to provide for making good food.The beds were all comfortable. (COTTON sheets would make a slight improvement.)All of our communication with the Cyndi was responsive.The patio furniture was comfortable. All appliances worked well, and the AC. We hope to return. Why not?

Sandcastle Dreams

Wonderful stay at a beautiful cottage. The location and beach can not be beat. There is a large grassy yard for playing games and amazing views from in and out of the house. The manager is very responsive and friendly. The cottage is wonderfully updated and decorated very nicely.

Wonderful beach house!

Our family of five loves it here! Long, beautiful stretch of sandy beach immediately outside the door, awesome patio, gorgeous views inside and out, peaceful wooded neighborhood with no crowds, comfortable and clean beach house with everything you need and many lovely details. The host is extremely kind and goes above and beyond for guests. We keep coming back!

A very nice cabin right on the water was perfect for our sisters trip to Lake Michigan. Lovely big windows to look out at the waves when we werenā€™t out enjoying the patio. The main floor bedroom was very nice and the bathroom was perfect. The kitchen had all that we needed to cook simple meals and make great coffee, with plenty of dishes so we didnā€™t have to do them so often. Just FYI, the A/C doesnā€™t do much for the upstairs and the stairs themselves are narrow and steepā€¦an important thing for older folks or young kids. The furniture is comfortable and table could accommodate lots of people The new Adirondack chairs on the patio are wonderful for viewing the waves and the seagulls; very comfy! An easy path down to the shore with large stone stairs makes it easy to go for walks or get into the water. It was very ā€œwavyā€when we were there this past week but kids were having a great time down the beach. The cottage had lots of beach towels available for the brave swimmers! A lovely, peaceful, lace to stay for a beach getaway!

Classic Cottage

The property was lovely. The beach was super close to the cottage. The cottage was classic - small but updated. It made us feel nostalgic as we both grew up going to lake cottages. It was also bright and cheery with many windows to the south. Because the kitchen, dining area, and living room were all in one, there was also western light at the end of the day. There was a nice large yard next to the cottage which was a bonus and provided a lot of privacy.

Even better than the listing!

The listing doesnā€™t even compare to the house, location and view of Lake Michigan! First, the owner was very easy to get a hold of and work with. When you get to the cottage, itā€™s in a very private area, which was exactly what we wanted. The outside has been up kept so well and it has a great side yard to play in besides the beach. The inside of the house was so charming and also extremely clean! There is plenty of space for everyone. The beach is literally in your backyard! Itā€™s about 20 steps to a very flat beach! The sand is soft and there are no rocks! The owner has plenty of seating outside with a great fire pit. Thank you for sharing this amazing find in Wisconsin, we canā€™t wait to go back!

Great beach house, but the host made things uncomfortable for our trip

I do not normally leave this type of feedback, but I do not want other renters to be caught off guard. This is a wonderful beach home right on the water. The home is well stock. However, this host is clearly not comfortable having strangers in their home. Even the most innocent of groups. More details below, but go into your booking/trip knowing this and you may have a better experience than we did. The host required us to sign an undisclosed 8 page rental agreement two days bedore our trip began, even though we booked 4 months prior. Combine this with on site cameras and excessive reminder notes to ā€œkeep their house clean or elseā€ and a general lack of trust from the host was a cloud over our trip. We also received text/emails from the host leading up to and during our trip at strange hours: both early and late. I have used VRBO for nearly a decade. We have no negative reviews and are very respectful and clean. I was traveling with my 70+ year old mother and a 2 year old. We received our full deposit back.

Comfortable cottage right on a beautiful stretch of beach!

This was my family's third stay at this lovely beach house and we've been very happy each time! The cottage is comfortable and thoughtfully decorated and has always been very clean. The location is outstanding -- it's right on a long stretch of quiet beach with soft (not rocky) sand. Views are beautiful both from inside the cottage and from the beach. My whole family loves it!

Perfect long weekend getaway

The location could not be better. You don't have to go WAY up north to find an escape. The pictures do not do it justice, you are truly on the beach. We felt safe letting our teens go down to the beach and into the water (to a point) while we were sitting on the patio. The decor was interesting. All the variety made the place feel bigger because your eye was always catching something new. Appliances were all solid. Bathroom was quite nice for a tiny house. The beds were all comfortable. There was plenty of outdoor seating. The sunrises and moonrises were amazing.

Thanksgiving Getaway
