Beautifully updated and redecorated in 2025, our cottage is nestled atop a scenic dune along the shores of Lake Michigan, The Pond Cottage offers the perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful escape or looking to explore the cultural and recreational treasures of Kohler and Sheboygan, this private, pristine getaway has it all.

Wake up to breathtaking, unobstructed views of the lake from the moment you step inside, and enjoy 275 feet of stunning private lakeshore frontage.

Two charming screened porches offer the ideal spots for your morning coffee, a relaxing afternoon nap, or dining al fresco. One porch opens onto a spacious deck with plenty of seating, a large umbrella for shade, and ample room for grilling or soaking up the sun.

Marvel at the awe-inspiring sunrises over the lake and don't miss the magic of moonrises, described by past guests as "an experience not to be missed." Tucked away on a quiet, unpaved wooded lane, the cottage invites peaceful strolls and quiet reflection.

* Guests are required to sign a rental agreement and set up a deposit for all stays.

Disclosure: There is a Nest Flood Light/Camera on the front of the cottage covering the front door and parking area which records video and sound. This is used for delivery personnel and to ensure quantity of cars and guests.

Absolutely a fabulous cottage that is private and beautifully located on Lake MI

I highly recommend this beautiful and secluded cottage on a great walking beach. The house is very cozy with a true cottage feel and perfect screened porches practically on the water. It’s not fancy but well appointed including high speed internet. Very clean and well kept. Management company is easy to work with great communication. I’ve rented extensively around the US and this was a top 5 experience. Couldn’t be more glowing.

Private cottage, fantastic sandy beach, 2 screened porches on Lake Michigan

Large soft sandy beach directly on Lake Michigan. Beautiful views from the 2 screened porches while you're listening to the waves rolling in. So peaceful and relaxing, a great place to unwind. The cottage is very clean, lots of windows for getting fresh air, charming log cabin feel and tasteful decor. Very comfortable furniture, I'm tall and Really Appreciate that! The cottage has absolutely everything you would need, plus extras like 2 coffee stations, very well stocked kitchen, bath products, gas grill, bonfire pit and wood. I can't wait to return!

Location was outstanding, host was easy to communicate with, property was clean, very private location. Outside space is spectacular. There is a noticeable musty smell when you enter the property. Opening the windows did help with this. Comfort was less because for a small space it felt crowded with so much furniture to make it a 7 bed rental. 7 beds is a stretch with only one bathroom which is on the small size. Also the air conditioning should be more clear in the listing. There is no air conditioning in the main room and the air conditioning units are loud and make it difficult to sleep at night. The photos in the listing do not show the air conditioners.

The cottage is clean with cozy decorations. Jeremy has excellent communication so everything would be perfect for our stay. The screened in porch gives a 180 degree view of beach and Lake Michigan. Absolutely amazing! Quiet woods surround the entry to the cottage. Ideal for people who love sandy beach, swimming, and viewing wildlife such as eagles, turkeys, and deer. Wonderful vacation for us!

We loved our stay here. The location was absolutely PERFECT. We will absolutely be returning! A couple notes to visitors:1. Make sure you know the passcode and wifi before you arrive - there is no service at the cottage. 2. There are no laundry facilities. We didn't stay long, so it didn't impact us. May be something to consider if you are staying longer.

Girls Getaway

The Pond Cottage is pure Americana. The cabin still has authentic wood finishes that transport you to 1980s lake life. Everything is in great condition and comfortable. We came up for a women's retreat, and enjoyed the GORGEOUS views from the screened porch. The beach was clean and soft, but the water was too cold to swim. We enjoyed a few restaurants in Sheboygan and Kohler and spent tons of time chatting on the porch.... highly recommend for a private, restful getaway.

Relaxing and beautiful beach

We had a great family vacation at the Pond Cottage. The cottage is close to the water so you can hear the waves as you sleep. Very clean and beds were comfortable. Also, great location for getting around town.

Visiting The Pond Cottage was a fantastic experience. It was better than the pictures. It was so relaxing and beautiful. The cabin was very clean and there was everything you need and more. If you need a beach fix, i highly recommend.

Worth every penny!

I cannot express how much I love this cottage! It’s like taking a step back in time but with all the modern amenities. The perfect place to escape and create new memories with a beautiful sandy beach, campfires, solitude and nature. What could be better? Plenty of parks, museums and restaurants within a short drive as well. The cottage was fully stocked along with some thoughtful extra touches. It’s my new “happy place.”

Relaxation Guaranteed

Just wanted to get away and relax from the daily stress. This was just what we needed. Secluded and quiet, we were able to just listen to the waves of the lake, read, and walk on the private beach. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay.

Amazing private waterfront stay

We LOVED our stay at the Pond Cottage! The cute old cottage feel and look with plenty of space for everyone to sleep and relax was great! But the outside and beachfront are what seal the deal! The beautiful private beach with amazing water and sand but also the overall privacy of the location was perfect. We enjoyed the beach all days swimming, walking, and paddle boarding. We even ate meals out there because it was just too great to stay away. The girls loved sleeping in the bunk beds and my husband and I slept great in our own beds in the private room on the other side! The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable inside as well. We’re coming back next year and can’t wait!

Wonderful cottage right on the lake

Wonderful cottage right on the lake! Beautiful, big, sandy beach.We especially loved the screen porches that allowed us to feel like we were on the beach even while we were in the house. We had a rainy weekend but still enjoyed the beauty of the lake up close from the cozy screen porch. The property is quite big and there is a lot of space to the neighbor's houses so it felt very private and secluded. We were there for 3 days and saw a total of about 5 people, all walkers going down the beach. The host was friendly, informative, and very generous to give us a late checkout on our last day. We would love to stay here again! One note is that all the beds are twins, doubles, or fulls, so there is no queen or king bed for a couple to sleep in. Also the Wi-Fi is pretty slow, so I don't plan on streaming HD movies.

Perfect Getaway for our Family of 5!

The Pond Cottage is a true gem. We loved the proximity to the beach! Started and ended our day on the amazing the screened in patio with the sound of waves crashing. You can just tell how much thought and care is put into this place, from the cleanliness to the ample sleeping arrangements for larger families. We will definitely be back!

A Relaxing Getaway

The house was exactly as described and perfect for our group. The kitchen stocked everything you would need to cook and if dining out is your preference plenty of great places within a short drive. The private beach was amazing. We enjoyed enough space to set up a volleyball court and have room to set up lawn chairs and relax. My daughter asked if we could rent again and return next year!

Great summer getaway

Our family of 5 came to stay for a week this summer. The cottage is right on the lake and our kids had a great time walking down to the water and loved being able to swim to their hearts content. The cottage is a time capsule, with great modern amenities, that helps you disconnect and enjoy the time there. Practically new cookwear, sheets, towels - everything was great.

a relaxing break from the Texas heat

It was our first time north to escape the Texas heat and the Pond Cottage was the perfect place. The view was incredible, the screened in porch and deck were the two areas we spent most of our time. We practically had the beach to ourselves. We took walks down the road, saw deer and enjoyed the solitude. We saw lightening bugs galore at dusk. The place was comfortable and had everything we needed. Sure hope we are able to make this a yearly trip!

Wonderful!

We stayed in July 2024 - there was a good amount of sandy beach . We loved having it all to ourselves for several days! This is the cleanest cottage I have ever stayed at. They seemed to have thought of everything! Amazing views of the lake from every spot. Loved it!

We had a wonderful stay

The property itself and location is perfect. Clean, cozy and comfortable. It is right on the beach. The screen porches are a wonderful spot for watching the waves. The manager and caretaker do a fantastic job of taking care of the property. Thank you for such a wonderful long family weekend.

Wonderful place!

Stunning view, well outfitted cottage, and peaceful location. Highly recommend! The location is secluded, yet easy access to groceries, a bakery with delicious sweets, and a neighborhood restaurant with a dynamite breakfast.
