Best VRBO we've ever stayed at and the owner is the BEST. Celebrating a milestone birthday for my sister and Colette put a cake in the refrigerator for us. Communication was great!!!!

Fantastic stay

The host was very communicative and provided many details about the house and surrounding areas before and during our stay, so we never even had to ask any questions. The house is beautifully decorated—very eclectic and charming. It reminded my sister and I of our childhood home. Great for families!

Collette and Dennis were amazing hosts and the lazy Green Turtle was more than the pictures could show! We had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back!!

This property owner goes above and beyond for the best vacation experience. The home was wonderful, clean and well stocked for a relaxing stay. The neighborhood is quiet, private and far enough away from the hustle and bustle yet still close enough to enjoy sightseeing and activities.

Wonderful Location!

I came here with my family for our very first time and it was a great experience. The property was beautiful and so equipped with everything! The property manager was so sweet and thoughtful. Overall we had a great time checking out all the different areas and the beach! Will recommend for sure!

Great family trip!

We loved the house and location! Beautiful home right on the beach. House had everything, was very clean, everything labeled, and communication with the host was the best I’ve ever experienced! The area is great. Doesn’t feel touristy, felt private, and yet was close to anything you needed because the town/city wasn’t far. Perfect week!

Exactly as Advertised - Wonderful Stay!

We were looking for a place on the beach for our annual family holiday vacation, and the Lazy Green Turtle was perfect! Plenty of room, beautiful house, beautiful location, and wonderful communication from Collette. Many small things as well that really add up! Thanks!

Take Me Back to the Turtle

What an amazing spot for a getaway. First off, the location is perfect. You couldn’t be any closer to the beach. I saw some dolphins swimming a few hours after we arrived. The home itself is fantastic (the upper deck is basically an outdoor living room by the ocean) and was completely spotless when we arrived. Colette was incredibly nice and super quick to respond to any questions I had during our stay. I can’t wait to visit the Lazy Green Turtle again.

Mills family vacation

This property never disappoints! My wife stayed here three years ago for her bachelorette trip and they had a blast. She talked so much of her experience here so we decided to bring our family back for a vacation. We celebrated a birthday for our ten year old and our sons first ever beach trip. The house had something to accommodate for every age. We felt welcomed by the host and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be using this home again in the future.

Our family can’t say enough wonderful things about our week at the Lazy Green Turtle beach home! From booking, arranging, questions, arriving, leaving helpful info about the home and area, the beautiful home with so many extra amenities, the oceanfront VIEW, the beach right outside the door….just everything about the stay here could not have been better . The owner is so helpful, caring, and has anticipated any need or questions guests might have We wish we could give it 20 stars or more! Thank you so very much for sharing your lovely home as a rental with our family - we can’t wait to come back again !

The Best Beach House

Of all the houses we have rented for vacations, this one was by far the best. The amenities provided were unbelievable ... shampoo/body wash and conditioner dispensers in the showers, complimentary bottles of lotion, mouthwash, etc., beach supplies and more! There was even a crib for the baby (which was a pleasant surprise since we forgot the pack-n-play). The grandchildren loved the huge shower in the upstairs master bedroom! Everything you could want to cook with was provided in the kitchen. Best of all was literally being right on the ocean! The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Without a doubt, we will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Beach/Beautiful Home

I have rented homes in many cities and countries, this home may rate as one of my favorites. The beach is your backyard. The sunsets are spectacular. It is quiet and peaceful. The house is perfect. The kitchen is well equipped and organized. Both the upstairs and the downstairs are perfect together or apart. Colette was very responsive and helpful. This is not just a rental for her, you can tell she loves this home and treats it as if it were her own. I was impressed and very pleased.

lazy green turtle

Absolutely beautiful and clean. Being ocd that’s the best compliment ever. No one could want any other place on hammock beach at the green turtle. The trip was for our Mom that use to call FLorida home, she loves the coast and the huge deck was was her home for the duration of our stay. Colette was a great breath of fresh air and was there to quickly respond if messaged. Her home was very nice but also very homey and comfortable. I’ll never forget this visit to the lazy green turtle it was the best trip, place we could have chosen.

Fabulous beach home getaway!

This trip to the Lazy Green Turtle was so easy and seamless because of Colette’s quick response to inquiries and because everything was literally PERFECT when we arrived. Since I had mentioned we were there celebrating my dad’s 80th birthday, she even had a special birthday cake and card waiting for “The Birthday Turtle.” So thoughtful! The home was clean, well-stocked and the proximity to the beach was logistically great for both kids and my elderly dad. We loved the fun, eclectic decor throughout the home and enjoyed eating on the deck in the evening to take in the cinnamon-colored beach and beautiful view. Your home is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Colette also directed us to a local park nearby with gorgeous walking paths, large water oaks and rose gardens where we enjoyed a sunset on the intercostal one night. Thanks for all the communication Colette! Fabulous, memorable trip for our family.

The Lazy Green Turtle is an absolutely perfect place for a peaceful beach vacation!

Our four generation family of seven spent a Covid safe Thanksgiving 2020 at this beautiful home and loved every moment of our stay. The home itself is as pictured - beautifully decorated and with a stunning beach front location. We literally had a ‘pinch me’ moment when we walked out on the deck overlooking the ocean. The house is fully stocked with every kitchen appliance and gadget needed (even for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner!), the bathrooms have plenty of basics plus a full assortment of any toiletries you may need. Colette is a gracious and communicative host, leaving nothing unattended. We felt as if we were staying in a close friend’s home vs. in a rented home. Top shelf all the way. We have spent a lot of our vacations in VRBO properties and this one is by far the best we’ve experienced. We highly recommend this property and owner for your stay in this area. Book with confidence and travel knowing you are headed for a great vacation.
