The Space:

29 Silk Grass Lane is the perfect getaway for two! This beautiful 1 bedroom carriage house in Watercolor is quietly tucked in beside the main house with easy access to the beach, nearby Frog pool and WaterColor`s Boat House. This carriage house includes a washer and dryer and all of the comforts of home making it a favorite place to stay for couples.



***Watercolor does not allow golf cart rentals from outside vendors. All carts must be reserved through their exclusive vendor Electric Cart Company***

***Beach Chair Rentals available through Watercolor Beach Service www.watercolorresort.com/beachsetups. Book Early!***

***Watercolor Amenities***

A total of 4 wristbands are allowed for this property. Watercolor requires 1 wristband per person.

Children under the age of 5 do not need a wristband. The wristbands will be located inside the property.

Please note that when the Carriage House and Main House are rented together the max wristbands allowed will be 14.

Great place and location

We had Thanksgiving at the beach. It was a wonderful time. This little carriage house was perfect for my husband and I, would definitely book it again.

Staying here was great. It was perfect space for us and our baby and looks better in person than online even. Short walk to pools, beach, and perfect neighborhood.

Amazing Getaway!

This amazing little carriage house was perfect for my husband and I to get away for a week. We were able to ride our bikes everywhere and it was extremely relaxing!

Relaxing at Watercolor

Great resort. Enjoyed riding bikes, leisurely long walks and riding in our convertible for some geocaching along the coast. The unit was perfect for two people.

Great spot to celebrate Anniversary!

We were thrilled with the spaciousness of the house, even with it being a carriage house. The kitchen, living and bedroom are all good size for 2 people for the weekend.

Great spot for a couple

We stayed in Watercolor for a wedding, and loved our weekend at this property. It was perfect for a couple. Walking distance to some great food + wine spots. Weather was too cold, but otherwise we would have loved to use the two provided bikes to get around. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect Location in Watercolor!

My family of four had a lovely time at your vacation home! The location was perfect for riding bikes to the beach club or to Seaside or to Camp Watercolor. The space was perfect for the four of us (my children are ages 4 and 7) without renting a large house. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and would love to go back.

Sweet Carriage House Get Away!

We had a wonderful week at WaterColor and Seaside. This carriage house was perfect for our family of 4! Huge kitchen with big eating area, large Bedroom and Large Bathroom. Perfect location to bike and walk the trails, go to beach, go to swimming pools and close to restaurants and shopping!

very very good place to stay, suggestion: two luggage stands in bedroom. The bed is only place to set ur luggage. Its an inexpensive way to make your guests happy

Lovely community, very convenient location

We were there for a wedding and the location was perfect, being able to walk to the events at Boathouse and Lake house. Loved having bicycles to ride to the beach and seaside. Only ding - and this often happens but the pictures just make the unit look a little fresher than it is, couch and kitchen stool fabrics are all very worn…little hesitant to enjoy in a tux…but thank you otherwise!

Mother/daughter getaway

This was perfect for two people. We enjoyed the bikes and rode them everywhere. Unit was cute and clean. Check in was 5pm that was the only thing we didn’t like. Clothes dryer needs to be replaced. Overall I would book again.

A real gem

We love this property so much we rented it twice this summer. I love that it has a full kitchen and the washer and dryer are a lifesaver. A huge perk that was unexpected is you can park your vehicle inside the garage below. We have stayed in other carriage homes that do not have this option and finding a spot can be difficult during busy times. I cannot say enough good things about this property. We absolutely loved it.

No heat, repair tech spend hours

Gave a rating 4 star, newly installed Heat transform was wrong for unit to switch on. Order was place for correct connection. Packed my bags and departed 8:30am next morning after 2 cold night above a garage. VRBO was kind enough to offer another location.

Perfect for Family of 3

This was the perfect space for family of 3. We had to stay in a different space this time in order to maintain distance during Covid Thanksgiving from my husband’s family. Normally we would all be piled into his Aunt’s house down the road, but with her house on the market and wanting to keep some distance, we had to find a small place for us to stay. My only complaint was the WiFi was horrible. Without realizing it, our devices would keep dropping the signal and we blew through all our high speed data while trying to entertain ourselves at night. Homeowner should consider getting a booster or something.

Time for a facelift

Chatted briefly with property owners who were on site at main residence. VERY NICE FAMILY! Needs: 1. new coffee maker. Current has no auto shutoff so fire hazard. 2. New tv. The channel guide is dated 2017 and tv about that old too. 3. Paint bathroom and recaulk bath. 4. Clean or replace upholstery. Stained and dated. 5. Tree trim. A branch was rubbing on roof. Really annoying. 6. Extra blankets for cool/cold snaps. 7. New mattress cover. 8. New clothes washer/dryer render original design of utility room obsolete. Redesign not complicated or expensive. This is our second stay at this property. We really like it and the new clothes washer/dryer fantastic. Time for a freshen-up!

Not For Us

Unfortunately, our stay at Mykonos on the Gulf 2 Carriage House was unsatisfying. The owner needs to consider much-needed repairs and replacements, one being replacing the blinds on the front door, replacing furniture such as the kitchen table and chairs, there needs to be new kitchen cookware and countertop appliances. The bathroom needs a facelift. Replace bedding and blankets and replace sofa and chair covers. The garage needs to be dependable. The maintenance crew came in and tried to work on issues that we addressed during our stay. The check-in process could have been better. The photos need updating. Communication with the manager was not stellar. In general, the house needs deep cleaning and freshening up. We like this location and we have rented condos, houses, and other carriage houses in this area for the last ten years. This experience was not the one we expected, and it missed the mark.

30A Vacay Rental in Watercolor

One of our best vacations! Kids loved it and the carriage house we stayed at was great. Clean and in good location. Had pretty much everything we needed. Only issue was the washer dryer combo seemed to have an issue where the washer would leak water into the dryer. There was water in it when we arrived and seemed to be some after running washer each time. Only other suggestion would be to ensure there are coat hangers in closet for everyone’s clothes. Bought a cheap pack while we were there. 30a Vacay staff was very helpful. Also would recommend guest make ise of the free shuttles to/from beach, pools, etc. Easiest way to get around. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome location and amenities, but not very clean

Loved being in Watercolor and having all the amenities, but overall unimpressed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the property. The couch had stains all over it and was not very comfortable to sleep on (both with the bed out or just laying on the couch cushions). We were not given a blanket for the couch bed, but instead 4 sheet sets…the property management company was very responsive though and brought one to us quickly. The main bed in the master bedroom was very hard and not to my liking…there was a foam cushion on the bed, but it was basically a quarter inch thickeness and was only for a queen size bed not a king. The dryer was basically not functional, as it took 3 hours to dry a wet towel…they also were not the most updated washer and dryer. The bathroom floor looked ombré…not intentional, just dirty grout from use in the higher traffic areas. There were so many outlets coming out of the wall that it definitely felt unsafe for my child and made several outlets in the living room and kitchen area not functional. There was adequate cooking utensils for us to cook a meal, but the utensils/pans we used were generally of low quality. The carriage house felt like the loser little brother to the main house. The carriage house has potential, but it needs a deep clean and some updates. Would love to come back if a deep clean is performed and updates are made.

Great location and amenities

The carriage house was exactly as advertised. Very clean and located close to everything Watercolor and the area has to offer. We walked or rode the provided bikes everywhere. The unit was very clean and the management company (30a vacay) was very friendly and responsive throughout our entire stay.

Great property. Needs a few more coffee mugs and a few more kitchen utensils. Needs a little paint here and there. Would get new kitchen table chairs. But we really liked it!

Cute Place, Convenient Location

We had a great time staying in this carriage house! It was perfect for my husband and myself. It was in a very convenient location... short bike ride to Publix, Watercolor Inn and downtown Seaside. Highly recommend!!!
