Villa Koora is a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom vacation villa located 15 minutes east of the southern Pacific coastal town of Dominical. Access in and out of the property is a cinch, and there are markets and locally-run restaurants (know as Sodas) within a 10-minute trip by car.

Tucked in a neat little community called Valley of the Horses, this 12-year-old villa is extremely private and secure. Villa Koora has all of the modern amenities guests should expect at such a nice property, including wireless Internet, satellite television, A/C throughout the house, Sonos music system, washer, and dryer unit, and a dishwasher.

There are dueling master bedrooms on each end of the house. Both master bedrooms feature queen beds, en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning units, walk-in wardrobes, and outdoor showers. The third guest bedroom also has a queen mattress and AC unit, and its bathroom is just outside the bedroom door.

The kitchen is large and fully equipped with all of the necessary cutlery. It also features an island bar with stools and an 8-seat dining table. Cooking fresh catch and whipping up native fruit smoothies is as easy as it gets at Villa Koora. There are fruit stands up and down the main road accessing the property. Some vendors even sell souvenirs.

Another thing about the inside of the villa that must be mentioned is the decor. It is fabulous and totally Costa Rican, with Boruca Indian masks on the walls and lively handmade crafts lining the shelves. There’s a lot to see and a whole lot to like about the decor at Villa Koora.

While the inside of the house is excellent, the outdoor space is otherworldly.
The lush native plants absolutely pop in the tropical sunshine. The swimming pool -- about 25 feet by 10 feet -- is a dreamy temperature all year long.

There’s a barbecue outside, along with lounge chairs, rocking chairs, and a sofa. There’s also a small grass area for the young ones to enjoy. You will be comfortable outside and the valley-to-mountain views will bring all types of joy. This we can guarantee.

And the best feature of all? Well, that’s probably the trail that leads to a small, private waterfall only about 5 minutes down the dirt. Keep walking past the waterfall, get a bit adventurous and take a hike all the way to the river about 30 minutes along the trail toward Nauyaca Waterfall. All and all, it’s an awesome way to spend your time on vacation. There are all types of great activities nearby, including surfing, river rafting, kayaking, parasailing, fishing, stand-up paddling, zip-lining, ATV riding, and waterfall rappelling.
