What's nearby:
Just a third of a mile away is downtown Kings Beach which includes Tahoe's largest sandy beach on the north shore, numerous dining options, water sports equipment rental, and the lake itself. If you golf, be sure to take advantage of the Old Brockway Golf Course just a half-mile up the main drag in downtown. There is plenty of winter powder and summer fun at Diamond Peak Ski Resort just over seven miles away.

Nice vacay!

The place is very roomy. It made you feel at home. I was kinda disappointed when we couldn’t find towels anywhere in the place. Until we checked the dryer. Maybe next time have towels in the bathrooms. Also 1 of the pot was stored but it was dirty. Check the pillow we found hair and the bed sheets on the 2nd floor it smells, like it was used. But overall I don’t mind going back and stay here again. Hopefully the owner can see the comments and have someone check the bedsheets and pillows.

Nice Property/Bad Property Management Company

My friends and I headed up to Tahoe for a ski weekend. We arrived just after 4pm, which was our designated check in time. There was no issues with getting into the house, but when we did we discovered it had not been cleaned. There were dirty towels in all of the bathrooms. All of the bed sheets were on the floors of the bedrooms. There were bags of trash left on the floor waiting to be taken out. I called the property management company and let them know the issue. They said they would raise a ticket to get the place cleaned as soon as possible, but could not give me a time line. My group went out to dinner and when we returned a couple of hours later the place had been cleaned. However we then discovered that the main fire place did not work. Once again I contacted the property management company and they said they would put in a service ticket. The fire place was never fixed during our two night stay. On the final night we discovered that there were two separate established leaks with the kitchen sink. We cleaned up the mess, but could not use the kitchen sink or the dishwasher for the rest of the evening or our final morning there. This review is more reflective on the property management company than the property.

Beautiful house. Very close to town.

Easy to check in, easy to use, easy to comunicate and fast to respond. Beautiful house, nice and close to town. Walking distance to so many things. Will definatly stay again.

Large comfortable home perfect for a family getaway

The house is roomy, solid, and comfortable. Our family of 12 fit comfortably and had a great time hanging out. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, the dining table is long, and the living room is spacious. There is plenty of outdoor space as well, on the deck and in two separate seating areas below. The house is in a perfect location, just three blocks from the beach. Everything in the home was clean when we arrived. Unfortunately, there were two major drawbacks that are keeping me from giving the home 5 stars: the hot tub, which we'd been looking forward to using, was full of dirt and smelled bad; and the grill, which we were counting on for a family cookout, wouldn't ignite. A few other smaller things were less than perfect as well - no extra towels, an unpleasantly stained comforter in the downstairs double bedroom; popcorn on the pull out couch when we pulled it out, and not-great-smelling linens for that bed, causing the person who was going to sleep there to have to double up with another family member; a screen door to the deck that didn't function properly; only one dish towel in the house; and a slightly wonky lock box. These all seem like things that could be improved with better management - the house itself was solid and in good shape. Unfortunately, these did impact our stay...once you're there and your whole family is in bathing suits going out to the hot tub and you've got the burgers ready for the grill that won't light, it doesn't do you any good to call a Vacasa main number, since we were only staying for the weekend anyway. You want those things to work! Anyhow, besides that it was truly a great house.
