Beachfront Casa with All the Amenities of Home!

Harden Casa is a well cared for home located in Spa Buena Vista, five miles south of los Barriles on the Sea of Cortez. Approximately 10 years old, it features all the American amenities of home with the flares of Mexican styling. The beautiful Palapa roof, along with the bright Mexican colors remind you your on vacation.

The three bedroom, two bath 2100 + sq. ft home. The large 1000+ sq. ft. tile deck over looks the breathtaking sun rises and the sport fishing boats leaving for their day trips. Dish cable TV in the living room area, and one bedroom, and Broadband internet(you need to bring your own computer) keep you in touch with daily news. There is a private patio overlooking the garden area to enjoy some quiet time when the winds pick up on the beach side. air conditioning system keeps the temperature comfortable all year round.

The climate is generally tropical but with low humidity. Cooling ocean breezes make the sunny days and starry nights comfortable. Average winter temperature is 70-80F, summer 80-100F. The sea and sky are usually clear, blue and beautiful.

The Spa Buena Vista hotel located 100 yards away gives extra amenities to the use of the home which bar and restaurant. If sport fishing is what you are looking for also, they can accommodate that.

Casa Harden is only 5-10 minutes away from Los Barriles where the finest restaurants, Health Spa, fitness gym, shopping for gifts or groceries, English speaking church, ATV rentals or anything else you would need on your trip can be found.

Casa Harden is perfectly situated to enjoy the best of what Baja has to offer. The beauty of the area, friendliness of the country and great food. It is also close enough to enjoy a day trip to Cabo or San Jose del Cabo to enjoy golf, tourist activities, sight seeing, or swimming with the dolphins.

The location is unbeatable - it was so nice to reside right on the beach. The house is older but quite comfortable and has everything we needed. Our questions were promptly resolved by the property manager, and we even got help in booking some activities. Thank you

In Buena Vista to visit friends

The house is right on the beach and the view is unbelievable. The 3 bedrooms were perfect for us and we could park the rental SXS in the garage. We hope to come back next year

Birthday week

Casa Haven was a clean and comfortable rental. The mattresses were very comfortable. The property is located directly on a beautiful beach near Los Barriles. The home itself is an older home and a little tired, but that said, it met all of our needs. This is the place for you if you want a clean, comfortable rental on a beautiful beach. I would have given it a 5-star overall rating if some of the "tired issues" were addressed

Such a beautiful place to stay - when they say beachfront- it’s right on the sand. Beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Just beautiful. The house was perfect for our needs- kitchen well appointed. Fabulous- will come back for sure. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home

Best Family Vacation to date

All of our gratitude to the owners and Josefina for an amazing home we were able to stay in for a week. Our two sons were in heaven with the proximity to the beach. The house was equipped with everything we could hope for; a surplus of towels, washer and dryer, ample space and comfort. The kids are mandating that we make this an annual vacation. Thank you so much!

Nice property!

We had a good stay at this beach front property. It was a little difficult to find using the written instructions that were provided, but communication with the property manager was quick and responsive. It was very hot and humid when we were there and the A/C units had a diffcult time keeping the place cool during the heat of the day. The place is older and needs some minor repairs, but the location is outstanding!

Everything we could ask for and more

You can't beat the location of this home right on the beach. Less than 10 minutes drive to Los Barriles and situated in prime location for fishing (hotel next door), fun on the beach and swimming, this place is amazing. We cannot wait to come back next year and spend time at Casa Harden. I don't want the secret to get out about this place, but everything was great from check in to check out. The owners are very responsive to any questions you may have and the house is fully stocked with practically everything a normal home would have. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!

Great Beach House

We had one week with just the two of us and a second week with another couple. The home worked great both ways. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. It is not a shiny new home but rather a well loved beach house. Great location - easy drive to supermarket and restaurants in Los Barriles and Taco Tuesday at the resort next door was excellent. Use of the pool at the resort next door was a bit pricey, 600 MX, but a little walk up the beach in the opposite direction is another small resort which is only 200 MX for day use of a nice pool and their brisket sandwich is quite good. It was quite windy but got in plenty of walks on the beach, some swimming and snorkeling and a couple mornings of Kayaking- sunrises are incredible. We also got in day trips to Santiago, San Bartolo, Punta Pescadores and Cabo Pulmo which were all fun.

Great House - Poor Managment

Arrived at 3:00 per instructions and workmen were installing windows in the kitchen. Tools and materials filled the kitchen and the hammering and drilling was awful. No person to greet us except by telephone. Workers left at 5:00. Loved the house and location notwithstanding ATVs going by on the beach regularly.

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Harden last week and would highly recommend it to all. The house was very clean and was the perfect size and layout for me, my husband and our three kids as 2 of the bedrooms with shared bath are on one side of the house and the third bedroom has a half bath with adjacent outdoor private, shower on the other side of the house. We felt very safe and at ease as Spa Buena Vista is a quiet community with many home owners who look out for each other. Honestly, this whole area of Baja feels safe and the locals are friendly and helpful. We also opted to pay for access to the resort pool two houses down, which was well worth it because of the refreshing pool, jacuzzi and swim up bar, which served yummy and affordable food and drinks. We were able to do a lot of amazing things that were all within an hour's drive during our one week stay. We went snorkeling at Cabo Pulmo, swam with the dolphins in San Jose del Cabo and played in the waterfalls in the desert near Santiago. We also spent a lot of time at the beach right in front of the house, swimming, snorkeling and fishing. Casa Harden is a wonderful place to stay with a charming palapa roof, beautiful courtyard and a huge tiled deck that overlooks the beach and makes for great star-gazing and sunrise watching opportunities. The owners and property manager are very helpful and responsive as well. Rent this home. You will not regret it!

Excellent Beach House

Casa Harden is a very nice and spacious house right on the beach. Great communication with the owner. Plenty of room for my wife and I and our three teenage boys to spread out. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need to cook all your meals. There is air conditioning in every room and it works great! The huge patio right on the beach is where we found ourselves hanging out, and it has a large palapa for shade during the day. Kayaks provided with the house was a big plus for our family. The location is central to everything and you can run into Los Barriles in a few minutes to get whatever you need. The beach is gorgeous, you can snorkel right there. Great for a long walk or a run. The dirt road behind the neighborhood will take you to La Ribera and the other hot East Cape fishing spots. Also, when you rent this home you are getting a vital property manager service from Josefina. One day we started our rental car, left the keys on the hood and took off to a secluded beach about 40 minutes down a dirt road. When we turned off the car and realized we did not have the keys, we called Josefina. She immediately scoured the streets near the house, found the keys and personally drove to the remote beach where we were to deliver the keys. Excellent customer service and she saved the day! Thanks again Josefina!

As “beach-front” as it gets!!

I was a little hesitant to spend the big bucks on such a large, beautiful place for just 2 of us, at first. But the luxury of having the beach & ocean RIGHT THERE, literally at your back door, made it worth the cost when compared with other rentals that may have been a little more affordable in the area. I love that it was just over an hour & a half from SJD airport, but you really feel the difference, being OUT of the tourist traps. The Sea of Cortez is calm and very swimmable (almost no waves at all) and the sound of the mobula rays slapping on the water at night is the only noise you’ll hear. It was so safe, peaceful and relaxing! We were there in winter, so it was chilly & windy at night (bring a sweater) but if you’re out in the direct sun, you can still warm up enough to swim & kayak (boats provided - only a couple dozen yards to drag down the sand from the house to the water). The village of BV doesn’t have much to offer outside of residences, so we went in to Los Barriles each day for restaurants/drinks and it was just a 10min drive with PLENTY of cantinas and restaurants to choose from. Plus the kitchen at Casa Harden was fully equipped and abundant with spices, condiments, etc, so we were spoilt for choice. It was so well kitted out with beach towels, soap, toiletries, reading material, etc., that we really probably could have packed even lighter than we did! The Wi-Fi worked great, and you can actually get a pretty good, solid Verizon signal in the area which is not always the case on the east cape. Because it was winter, we saw very few neighbors in the area, but they are very (physically) close, so the privacy and peace & quiet aspect may change over the seasons. The house itself was perfect, in fact the only improvement I could even come up with has nothing to do with the rental at all, but rather the nearby hotel, where I would simply say “manage your expectations” when it comes to food and service. The best food is most definitely in town. We tried the restaurant once and it was a bit of a let down (especially in comparison to the local fare), but definitely convenient for a quick drink. I will end by saying that if I win the lottery I would absolutely go back to Casa Harden for an extended stay (3 nights was not long enough) and probably even choose winter again, because while it wasn’t necessarily hot, classical “beach weather”, the peace and quiet and lack of action was exactly what we were hoping for! What a treat!

Wonderful beachfront stay!

House was perfect. Right on the beach, very quiet location. It has the amazing private outdoor hot shower! Restaurant at the Spa Buena Vista Hotel (3 doors over) was exceptional if you don’t want to cook. Josefina the property manager was very responsive and took great care of us!

We live in Aromas CA, a small country town between San Jose and Monterey CA. A beautiful spot. We own our own HVAC business and pretty much work 24/7 whether we are in the States or in MX. It's pretty awesome to be working on my computer overlooking the Sea of Cortez!

Charlie has vacationed, built and owned a house back in the 80's. He had always wanted to come back to this 'piece of paradise'. In 2004, this opportunity arose and we snatched it up! As soon as I walked towards the front doors of the house and could see right through to the Sea of Cortez I knew we had something special.........We've never regretting it! It is an amazing quaint area, friendly people and neighbors with stunning views.

Being located on the beach is so special! Also, we are located 100 yds. away from Spa Buena Vista Hotel with bar, restaurant as well as fishing boats and kayaks to rent.
Swimming, snorkeling, atv's, wind surfing and long walks on a great sandy beach is vacationing for me. During your stay you may also see nesting sea turtles, migrating whales or a friendly donkey strolling on the beach in the late afternoon. It is an amazing site!
