This charming 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo is located just across the road from Sugar Mountain and a couple of minutes from all snow activities. Recently remodeled. The unit features a king bed and two twins along with a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Both bedrooms along with the living room have flat screen televisions. Kitchen has stainless steel appliances and all items needed to suit your needs. New washer and dryer installed in 2024. Unit has air conditioning. Enjoy WiFi and the fresh mountain air from the patio. No Pets, No Smoking. No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests required to sign rental agreement upon booking.

Great Ski Weekend!

Our family enjoyed a long ski weekend at this condo. The check in and out process was very easy and management was very accessible. We had an issue with the modem that was fixed quickly. The condo was very clean and well equipped. The owners have thought of everything that you could need for prepping meals. We also appreciate the large supply of towels for our family of 5. The location is very convenient to the Sugar Mountain ski resort, grocery store, and restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying her and hope to return.

A decent mostly reliable ski lodging

The property had nice upgrades but did have some unreliable features. The pull out couch probably is more of a liability than an asset as one could hurt their back sleeping on it it’s so old. The tvs are a nice feature but the remotes didn’t work and it was hard to work them. Overall though it was a nice stay and we were grateful to stay there.

Great getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the condo, basically across the street from sugar mountain resort/ski. The condo was remodeled with very comfortable beds/blankets/pillows and plenty of towels. Each room had it own temp control which was nice. The kitchen was well stocked as well. I would absolutely require 4WD or all wheel drive as we could NOT get up the very steep driveway even with chains on my Toyota Highlander’s front wheels after 3 inches of snow. We walked/hiked up and down (10min each way) for 2 days until snow melted. Other than our snowy hikes that weren’t desired by 3 teens ;), it was a perfect place! Another recommendation for host is to put specific directions on how to use the TV (3 remotes)

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: if using for skiing, forget about Sugar Mountain. Very small resort and you end-up using the same slope other and other again. LONG lines for everything from buying Ski Pass (they don't even sell multi-days...) to equipment rentals to ski lift. Out of 6 days, we spent maybe three hours at the most on the ski slopes and the rest in lines. Terrible value

It was pleasant staying at this property. Very comfortable and found everything as described.

Hardly 0.8 mile away from Sugar mountain sking resort, so convenient. Only one thing lacking was washer/drawer.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was very beautiful, and comfortable. The only issue we had was it was a very hard place to fund. It was dark when we got there, plus there was only the number on the house we stayed in. We were looking for 89 B for it least an hour. We found 89 but never could find B. Finally I just tried my key in the front apartment of 89 and it worked. Besides that it was great. I also do not care for the fact that it takes up to 30 days to get our deposit back.

We found this place and it was perfect!! It was very clean and had everything we needed. We only made breakfast because we did not know what kind of cooking utensils we would have but I think that this kitchen is better stocked than my own. This property was in the perfect location far enough out where we were not right in the middle of everything but close to where it took no time to get to where we wanted to go. We will be back!!

Spring stay in Banner Elk

The outside was old, but the inside was very clean, nice furniture, full complement of appliances, but didn't notice a washer/dryer.The road up there was narrow in spots, uphill, and curvy; but it was not very long (maybe a tenth of a mile).The only real negative was the bathroom. There is just one and it is SMALL. No shelf space (but a few drawers under the sink). You had to move the TP holder out of the way to enter the shower stall (no tub). There was hardly room to turn around. The shower stall itself was nice and there were sufficient towels. Bathroom lighting had two switches: dim and YIKES! One switch turned on a dim lamp and the other turned on some bright bluish florescent light bulbs that were very bright and unnatural, hence the YIKES! comment.Closet space in bedrooms is a bit tight, but nice dresser drawers.There was room to park one car in front of the condo itself, but that's all we needed. Not sure where we would have parked a second vehicle as the other spots were taken.One strange negative feature was the front door. There was a screen door that opened to the left, while the front door opened to the right, so trying to lock/unlock or open the front door required you to push against the corner of the screen door making a tight spacing. The screen door should have had its hinges on the same side as the front door did.But overall we liked the interior very much until it was time to take a shower and the tight spacing made it rather awkward.

Lovely stay, beautiful spot - Keep small kids off very high deck

We had a lovely stay at this condo with our kids and nephew. It had everything we needed and was super cozy. My only suggestion is that the rental company should update the railings on the deck and/or better describe the current railings so that families with small children know that young kids should definitely not go out there. The deck is gorgeous but also incredibly high (50 feet or more maybe?) because of how the condos are built into the side of the mountain. There are just two railings, one at waist height for an adult and one at knee height of an adult. A young child could easily fall if they were to get out there. It was fine because we simply told our six year old (the youngest on the trip) that he was not allowed out there at all and kept the door locked. But I would be worried about any younger kids somehow accidentally getting out there. There is a strong lock on the sliding glass door, but I do think parents of young kids should know about this before you book the place.

Adorable Condo

Super cute and exactly what we needed for our weekend. One of the best stocked kitchens we've seen with needed utensils, food prep items (which was much appreciated since we were cooking and eating most meals there). Great little retreat, which was much needed for our family! Thank you!
