Hono Kai B15 is a bright 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo that offers tropical views from your private lanai. There are no elevators at this property. Unit B15 can accommodate up to 4 guests. The master bedroom is equipped with a queen-size bed and there is a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room, along with a flat-screen TV with cable. The bathroom is located by the front door and offers a shower/tub combination. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking meals in-house. This home cools itself with a single wall A/C located between the main living area and the bedroom or use the over-the-bed ceiling fan.

Hono Kai is a beachfront property where you can enjoy a 6-mile stretch of beach with views of Haleakala and Kaho'olawe, an oceanfront pool, and BQQ areas. Additionally, there is a coin-operated laundry facility for your convenience. Hono Kai is located at Ma'alaea Bay near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to the Aquarium, enjoy exciting activities from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to either side of the island. There are no resort or parking fees.

Very much recommended

Stayed at this charming accommodation in Maui and it was a delightful experience! The place was impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable and serene environment. The tranquility was exactly what I needed. Every basic amenity was readily available, making my stay convenient and hassle-free. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped retreat on the beautiful island of Maui. Definitely a five-star experience!

Perfect location

We loved this property because it was not in a very touristy area, so we didn't have to deal with a lot of traffic and crowds. But, it was centrally located for easy access to the airport, Lahaina/Kaanapali, and Haleakala!! The complex is quiet, with a mix of residents and rentals. The property could stand to be updated, but it was perfect for our needs! And, I loved being able to hear waves crashing because we could access a part of the beach just steps down from the pool area!

Comfortable

This was a fine condominium for our stay on Maui. The only drawbacks were lumpy old pillows and a noisy air conditioner. We turned off the AC as the ceiling fans kept the condo comfortable. The pillows could easily be replaced. We liked being close to Maalaea harbor for whale watching tours and the aquarium. We needed a car to get groceries, etc. The beach was ok. The groundskeepers/maintenance personnel for the complex kept the pool and grounds clean.

A convenient location for vacation, closed to restaurants and beaches. We had rented for 6 days and kitchen has everything we needed, enough parking spots, neighborhood are nice, also the check in- check out process is easy. The only thing is need more blankets. All else are great 👍

Great place, partial view of the see, well furnished

The place was great, it had all it needed for thoroughly enjoying the beach (great chairs, bogey board, sand toys etc.). The kitchen was likely one of the best furnished kitchens I have ever used in a temp location. Close to a quiet beach with a nice, private pool. I'd definitely go again

Beautiful location, comfortable place

The unit is simple, but well taken care of, clean and at an amazing location. We can see a little bit of the ocean from the balcony (and can definitely hear the waves even with doors and windows closed, which is very nice).

It was a decent stay. The bedding could have been washed a bit better and when we arrived there where ants on the curtains. However the overall location and condo was very good and made for pleasant stay. FYI if you need to contact my perfect stays during your trip make sure to input the +1 into phone number when dialing or you will be directed to a “Hot Singles” line.

Hawaii is Hawaii! Pros: location (steps to beach), clean with one exception, right size, responsive when needing to extend one day because of late night flight, good place to sit and watch sunset, quiet beach and not crowded Cons: a little more dated than pictured, windy location and not suitable if looking to snorkel, two used face masks under bed, limited space to swim because of rocks

Great Maui condo

The size of this place was perfect for a couple. It was very well appointed with everything needed for cooking. The little grocery Tradewinds a couple blocks away had all the basics we wanted for breakfasts, snacks, coffee, beer… The property is on a beautiful beach that you can walk for miles. The a/c worked well but we didn’t need it. The balcony had a bonus view of the beach from a distance. The property management company was very responsive (we had a question about getting on the wifi). Overall, great place to stay on Maui.

great location for a week long stay

This unit was exactly what we needed for our stay in Maui. Clean, great location, spacious for four adults. My one complaint is that we had to stay in the unit with a broken window during our whole stay. When we arrived to check in there was broken glass on the floor so we made several attempts to call the managing office before we were able to speak with someone. The only solution they offered was to send someone with a broom for us to be able to clean it up. Everything else about the unit and property was up to our expectations.

Beautiful Condo

We loved our stay at this Condo. It was well equipped with everything we needed, including some great extras - a boogie board, sand toys, a rice cooker, and blender. The location was great too, nice and relaxed atmosphere but close enough to the city. The beach where the condo is located is great for boogie boarding and surfing, lots of surfers & boogie boarders come here, visitors and locals. The only thing I wished it had was a hot tub, but I can live without it. I highly recommend this place and would stay again.

Very nice and modern, love the sliding doors to change up the space. Would have been nice to have tea and a working coffee machine but otherwise everything was perfect. We walked for miles along the beach.

Had a great time

The unit was as advertised. Had some trouble with a running toilet. Maintenance guy came out and he thought he had fixed it but it kept running intermittently. The hair dryers on and off switch was broken off. They brought a new one a couple of days later. The bathroom could use a little upgrading like a nicer sink counter and bathtub that had a stain in it but I know it’s probably more than they want to invest. There were no beach chairs as advertised but maintenance guy brought brand new ones after a couple of days. We couldn’t use their beach because it was eroded but received an email about that before we got there. Their beach front patio was great for whale watching. If you come during whale season make sure you bring binoculars! A public beach with not many people is at the end of the street.

Away from the crowds

Just steps from a great beach where you can walk for miles, swim with the turtles or watch the whales breaching. Comfortable, clean and well equipped unit, everything in good working order. Located on a quiet dead end road about 15 minute drive from Kihei, bit longer from airport. Couple of issues that prevent a 5 star rating; -The complex is located right under the flight path to the airport, planes pass overhead all day long starting around 5 am or earlier. Not great if you’re a light sleeper - contrary to the listing the unit is fairly dark as it faces a wall of large tress just outside the balcony. Although the view is very limited the upside is that the unit stays nice and cool, we only had to use the AC briefly on one day. - Access to the beach through the complex has been compromised by erosion from the ocean. You can access the beach but have to climb under ropes to do so. Signs in the complex suggest getting to the beach via a public access a short walk away at the end of the road, although no one bothers. In summary, we recommend this unit based on it’s great location and value, just bring earplugs. ,

Easy process and great prices!

The whole renting process was easy. Had a couple hiccups in things but overall great! We did the pay half now and pay half later option, which when it came time to pay second half I couldnt find a way to pay it on vrbo, so I had to call property manager and pay them, which was no biggie. The property was as described except for pictures then showed it faced the ocean and it didnt, but that has now been fixed. Condo was in a beautiful location. Very well priced for what we rented. Will definitely use VRBO again for our next vacation.
