Perfect Get-A-Way

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We visited with my elderly parents and this location was perfect! They had their own space which they LOVED! My only notes: It wasn't easy for them to navigate to the beach, because we did not rent through the on-site location we were unable to use the tennis/racquetball courts nor the on-site restaurants, the view was of the nature preserve and the beach was about a 10-minute walk away from the condo. With that. . . We loved the space and would visit again with the hopes of being able to use more of the amenities on-site.

We’ve stayed at the summit building before and it’s always been a nice location. This condo is nice and clean and I would recommend. Only downside which is no fault of the rental is the beach side bar and grill and the pool next to the bar and grill is now only for tops’l club members or those who book through them directly and we have enjoyed spending time down there on our previous visits and were unable to this time. No fault of this rental but that is a change that we were not expecting and is fairly new.

The beach was not nearly as crowded as we expected.

Nice resort

We had to reschedule last minute and although this condo wasn’t on the beach, we thoroughly enjoyed the nearby pool and hot tub, and putt putt. The walk to the beach was made easy with wagons provided in the room. The condo was spacy, beds comfortable and our needs were met.

Board games need updating; however we made due with lots of Jenga and turned the money from game of Life into cash for Poker/black jack. We had a great time!

Perfect Getway!

We just wish we were closer to the beach and had a view of the beach from the room. HOWEVER, that being said, these rooms were beautiful, great + modest decor, clean and comfortable! We will return! :)

Great vacation, condo and resort

We had never stayed at Tops'l resort before. We loved it. The amenities were great! Free put put , and gym, shuttle to the beach! This condo was perfect! After Memorial DAy, the shuttle even takes you to the outlet mall! Not seeing water view was not a problem for us, we were at the beach anyway. It's cheaper not seeing water, and the shuttle took you there anyway. We also liked being on 2nd floor. If the elevators were busy, we ran down the one flight of stairs. Some people in the resort had pets, but don't know if pets are allowed in this condo. Smoking is not which was a plus for us.

Great week

Not to mention, the beach was very accessible and there was a bus for those who did not wish to walk.

Two things to note: there was a renovation in a unit above us that caused lots of noise, and the HOA did not notify Gibson ahead of time, so it put an unexpected damper on about a week of our month-long stay. Also, the couches need replacing. Very saggy. Otherwise, it was terrific.

We appreciate your honest review Martha. We're pleased to see you enjoyed the spacious lockout unit as well as its great location close to the beach, pools and nature preserve. We also appreciate the acknowledgment that the HOA did not notify us, however as soon as we were made aware, we happily did everything in our power to assist with the issue. Regarding the couches, we have forwarded this comment to the appropriate parties to address and assist further. We hope the minor inconveniences did not deter you from having a wonderful and much deserved vacation getaway.

Great location!

We had a great experience at Summit! Location is great, with only a five minute walk to the beach (I do suggest a wagon to take gear). Very clean. Good communication throughout stay. Would recommend!

Only complaint would be sugar ants in the kitchen which required us to store food inside the refrigerator. We also had a slow tub drain which I was able to clear myself with a coat hanger. Overall however it was a great experience.

This beach condo is beautiful and has everything to offer! It has great space and accommodated our whole group so well. Also, we LOVED the beaches and pools that are all so close by!

Great property and location for Spring Break 2015

This was our first trip to Destin, and yes, the beaches are fine, white sand just like the pictures. There was a pool at the base of our building, with the beach and a larger, heated pool overlooking the beach just a short walk away. We had 6 adults staying during spring break 2015 with plenty of room for everyone. The condo is amazingly spacious with large bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas. The master bedroom and bathroom came right out a luxury home and provides a relaxing retreat after a day on the beach. The full kitchen allowed us to cook some meals there at the condo, but there are plenty of restaurants close by if you prefer to eat out. We went on an afternoon dolphin trip and then ate waterside at a terrific restaurant recommended by one of the locals, who are definitely a friendly bunch and glad to you are there. I would recommend having a car to get around town, since there is plenty to see. The owner is also very accessible and helpful should you need anything.

Ideal location and beautiful home for a vacation

My family had the pleasure of staying at your home the 2nd week of August 2011. The location could not have been better. The short walk to the beach, even with a 4 year old and infant, was fun as you walk along the nature preserve . One of the many pools we had access to was right out the back door and the unique shape was an added suprise for all of us. The pool by the beach also provides a great break in the beach action.The beach was as beautiful as advertised and the crystal clear water and white sand was a gorgous site every morning. Make sure you try out the sea kayack available for rent right on the beach. Another great suprise was the FREE minature golf on property and on the way to the beach. Our 4 year old is now a master. We were able to play real golf twice and the courses were great and right across the street. With all of the restaurant and entertainment options in the area the location could not be more ideal. Your home was so inviting that we only ventured out a couple of times for dinner. The rooms were large and with TV's in each room and 3 bathrooms our extended family of 8 were all able to stay in comfort. Enjoy the fun in the sun at this great home away from home. We will definetly come back next year.
