Newly renovated three-bedroom home with two full baths and brand new washer and dryer. Three Queen beds and a Queen pull out couch, sleeps 8 comfortably. Located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, near historic Kingston, New Paltz, Woodstock and Rhinebeck. Terrific location from which to explore from. Wonderful hiking, mountain biking, and multipurpose rail trails nearby. 15 minutes to Walkway over the Hudson, less than an hour to Hunter Mountain and Bellayre ski areas. One hour to Catamount and Wyndham ski areas. Nearby attractions include the Headless Horseman and Polar Express.

Amazing Place

Everything was very comfortable and clean; the Internet was excellent and the TVs were easy to hook up to. Our communications with the host were answered quickly and completely.The kitchen was well-equipped and I really appreciated having LOTS of coffee options available! The washer/dryer was easy to use and worked quickly (far faster than mine at home).The closest restaurants to the house are about 10 minutes away; there are plenty of choices within 20 minutes. Thanks for a great stay.

Great stay. Would definitely recommend again. Had all the necessary amenities (including well stocked kitchen, bathroom supplies/toiletries, etc). Central heating and window units much appreciated. Wifi worked well. We arrived at night and accidentally drove by the garage (which looks a bit whiter in the nighttime) but otherwise easy to locate. Hosts are very responsive.

Clean, comfortable property

The home is very clean and comfortable and was in a perfect location for our visit to a friend in the area. The only item we looked for but couldn't find was a corkscrew.

Tidy little home

The house was exactly as we expected from the photos we saw ahead of time. It was clean and neat and had everything that we needed. It was only 5 miles from my brother’s house and very close to the fairground. All in all a great experience.

Perfect for Us

We were back in the area to visit family in the Hudson Valley for a week and this was the perfect spot! The location isn’t super-close to anything but it’s also not far from anything at all. No matter what direction we had to go to see someone it was never more than a half hour drive and usually 10-15 minutes. It was close to all our favorite restaurants and a 5 minute drive to our go-to hiking spot. The house and a lovely and beautifully appointed. It was also the best stocked Vrbo we’ve ever stayed in for essentials. We’ll definitely be back!!

Adorable cottage

We were only staying one night but the house had everything we needed. The upstairs bathroom had some hair on the floor and in the shower. I notified Monica and she was mortified and most apologetic. She took care of the problem almost immediately. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks, Monica.

We were horrified to hear about hair in the bathroom and sent our cleaning lady right over. She informed us that she found two pieces of hair and cleaned them immediately. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to host you again in the future.

Very responsive hosts; cute and comfy home

My family of 5 has stayed here twice now. The house is always very clean and the hosts are very responsive. The beds are very comfortable, and my son especially appreciated that the pull-out sofa had a special pillow-top to put on top of the mattress, making it very comfortable. On our most recent stay, the hosts took care of a small problem immediately and checked in with us for the remainder of our stay to make sure we were all set. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Lovely house, very clean and comfortable beds. Nice touches like toiletry items. We didn’t use the fire pit, city folks intimated by the night noises but they were very cool!!!

Cozy relaxing stay

It felt like a real home. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. We had all the things we needed to cook breakfast, grill steaks for dinner and make s’mores in the fire pit (we bought groceries nearby). There were lots of games and books to entertain us. The place was clean, easy to find, felt very safe. It was just a short drive to Kingston and Woodstock. We had a very very pleasant and relaxing stay.

New upgrades

If you scroll through the reviews, you'll see we've left several—which in itself should say a lot. But I did want to mention that Monica and Jim have installed several upgrades since our last stay. Starting with the new 400 mbps wifi and a brand-new refrigerator, and more new Adirondack chairs in the back yard. This is a great house in a great location, and Monica and Jim are great hosts.

Lovely house

The house was so clean and comfortable. It’s also located in an easy area to navigate, especially if you’re not a local. I wish we could have stayed longer! Our only complaint was the air conditioner on the first floor didn’t work well, so it made sleeping in the first floor bedroom uncomfortable in the August heat/humidity. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Thank you so much for staying with us. We wish you would have said something about the temperature not being comfortable, we would have taken care of it right away! Following your stay, we installed a dedicated air conditioning unit in the downstairs bedroom. The AC unit in the living room has the capacity to cool the entire downstairs area, but someone had moved the couch against the unit blocking the airflow. Hope to host you again in the future!

Long weekend in Ulster Park

Perfect destination for my group of 5 adults. We had plenty of room and the house is very well maintained and updated. We really enjoyed our stay and the area is beautiful! I would highly recommend.

Another great stay

I'm not sure what more I can add to our previous reviews, except to note that Monica and Jim continue to upgrade the house. They recently added a picnic table and Adirondack chairs to the yard, for example. So you can see that they care about their guests' experience.

Our 4th stay

The bottom line is: This was the 4th time since July that we've stayed at Jim and Monica's. They're great hosts and the house is lovely. We love the location—a short drive to Kingston, Port Ewen, A Frost Fest/Headless Horseman, etc., but far enough away to be secluded. For the Holiday Season, Jim and Monica decorated with a tasteful wreath and lights, too.
