The views from inside this extraordinary, St. Croix, vacation home, from the front covered veranda and from the pool deck are spectacular! The large pool has four stools in the water where you can sit and enjoy the view and the fountain that flows into the pool. Villa Dawn has central air conditioning and is outfitted with tropical designer furnishings and every conceivable amenity. There is world-class SCUBA diving at the Cane Bay 'Wall' right in front of Villa Dawn, many nearby attractions and a championship golf course is just a ten minute drive from this dazzling vacation home. Our caretaker of the property lives nearby and is available 24/7 for any and all of your needs. Villa Dawn vacation rental is literally just steps from the beach. While some villas advertise 'walking distance to the beach,' they are truly a 'hike to the beach.' Not at Villa Dawn! This exclusive property goes all the way down to the coast road. On the other side of the road is the fabulous Cane Bay Beach! Villa Dawn has unobstructed views of Cane Bay Beach, the Caribbean Sea, and the surrounding lush mountains from the large front covered veranda as well as from most of the 1.3 acres that make up this St. Croix, USVI island paradise. Recline in the hammock on the large front veranda of this comfortable vacation home and listen to the soothing sounds of the Caribbean waves while gentle island breezes caress you. Go swimming in the pool... it's spectacular. Enjoy the lighted fountain with a waterfall that overflows into the pool. Bask under the St. Croix sun around the pool on the 1500 square foot deck or sit on one of the four in-water stools while you watch the stunning sunsets over the Caribbean Sea... watching for the elusive 'green flash.' Three of the four bedrooms and two of the three bathrooms are located on the upper level of this centrally air conditioned, fully equipped, designer decorated villa. The upper level's large gourmet kitchen and comfortable living room both have magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea from the villa's 'wall of windows.' The air-conditioned and private lower level of Villa Dawn is fully-equipped with one bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, and a bath. The lower level also has a 'wall of windows' that offer spectacular views from all of the rooms. Both levels are equipped with TV, VCR, and complete AM/FM/CD/Cassette stereo systems. No amenities have been forgotten at this beautiful retreat. Duty free shopping and additional fine dining is just a 20 minute drive to either Frederiksted or Christiansted. What an amazing slice of paradise! Ample space for large families, plenty of linens and the outdoor set up is amazing; where we spent the majority of our time. Very short walk to local restaurants, coffee and the most amazing beach. Centrally located to most other activities and shops. Our family really enjoyed our time here and would love to come back if we visit the island again.

The house was great for our family. We were very short on towels and there was 1 in the kitchen to dry dishes. Basic essential very short, toilet paper, paper towels and no garbage bags. Other B&B we've stay at this was just supplied. The shortage of bath towels was probably our biggest issue and the road going up to the house. The pool was great and house itself was very comfortable.

Our family (aged 7mo to 83 years) had the most incredible time at Villa Dawn celebrating my 50th and my twins' 21st birthdays! Kent and Dawn have thought of everything!! The home is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Amazing views (so many rainbows), refreshing pool, comfortable beds and laundry (so we packed light). Some of us have been to St Croix before and we love Cane Bay! We feel it has the best snorkeling and beach on island - we saw an octopus, rays, turtles, eels, and puffer fish (we love the pier too). There are wonderful restaurants a short stroll away: The Landing and Ama (Ama you can go just for happy hour sunset apps and drinks, but for dinner, make reservations). I'd recommend checking the house out before grocery shopping (we don't eat out for every meal). Depending on who was there before you, there will be shared items left (sun block, bug spray, alcohol, shampoo/conditioner and lotion). Kent and Dawn even have things like child sippy cups and bouncy chairs). Tip - If you want to sail to Buck Island or kayak in Salt River Bay - make your reservations early or they might be too full. You will have the most wonderful time at Villa Dawn!

Great Stay at Villa Dawn

Great view of Cane Bay!! Nothing better than being by the pool and enjoying the beauty of St. Croix. House was very clean and provided everything we needed for the week (beach towels, beach chairs, etc.). Great local restaurants around the area if you don't want to travel too far after a day on the beach. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to relax, this is the place. Property owner provided a packet of details about Villa Dawn before you arrive. Details in the packet made the check-in and check-out a breeze.

An Amazing Week!

My extended family and I stayed here for a week and this place did not disappoint! It met all of our needs as far as rooms, bathrooms, accommodations, distance to the beach, nearby restaurants, etc. The view of the ocean from the outside porch was beautiful. The only thing that took us by surprise was the apartment level of the house is not connected to the main house. We were not expecting that but it all worked out! Thank you again Kent for allowing us to stay in this beautiful home!

Owner was very helpful with communications before our stay. The home was cute, clean, and well equipped. The views are amazing, the pool was refreshing with plenty of lounge chairs and pool toys . The covered Veranda was a huge bonus The Veranda is a big bonus

Enjoyable Stay

Our main criteria for finding a place on St. Croix were being able to accommodate 10 family members and be close to the beach.This home is centered on the north shore about 30 minutes drive to Christensted & Fredricksberg each direction. The property sits on a hill and is a 3 1/2 minute walk to the beach. It has nice views of a gorgeous sunset every night.It's nicely furnished and has an nice, equipped kitchen.It's basically two living quarters. Up & down.The upstairs has 3 bedrooms. Two "masters" with en-suite bathrooms. The third bedroom has no bathroom. Those staying in the third bedroom had to enter one of the two masters to use the bathroom. Kind of a hassle but wasn't a deal breaker for us. The host asks that you keep the air set at 74 degrees at the lowest. This was plenty adequate. There are ceiling fans throughout.The internet was good however it doesn't reach the downstairs apartment at all. Our two teenage grandsons were down there and they were not happy. One slept on the hideaway upstairs so he could stare at his phone all night as teenagers do.The washer & dryer onsite is a plus.Besides no internet downstairs, there isn't any a/c per se.There are fans but it gets warm at night.The pool is nice but there was a breeze our entire visit so skimming was required each time we wanted to swim.Good food all around. The restaurant next to the beach had excellent food but it took forever to get fed.Several grocery stores within minutes.Had a good trip.

Great location

Beautiful house with great location and views. Spent most of our time on the deck. Had all 3 of our kids and spouses, plenty of room. Bathrooms are in two upstairs bedrooms and one downstairs, which gets tricky in certain situations. Lots of towels/beach chairs. Beds aren’t the most comfortable but we were pretty worn out after our days on the beach so we did just fine. Owner has great communication.

Bit of Paradise on Earth

Villa Dawn provided the perfect house for our three couple, family celebration. Two large en-suite master bedrooms with a third, fully furnished apartment below; huge, overstocked kitchen, gorgeous pool and deck with sunset views; 5-minute walk to beach and dining sites and a 30-minute (max) car ride to all the island has to offer. We could not be happier with our decision to live a week a Villa Dawn.

Amazing Family Vacation

We loved everything about villa dawn especially how it was walking distance to the beach. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave and saw the villa was open for the next week. Unfortunately my daughter’s mom wouldn’t let us stay for an additional week. We hope to visit villa dawn again.

Great Family Vacation Home

We stayed at Villa Dawn in June and absolutely loved the property and location to the beach. The grounds were beautiful, the house was very clean with a well stocked kitchen and the pool and view were amazing. We loved drinking coffee every morning on the covered porch enjoying the beautiful view of the Caribbean Ocean. The reservation process and communication with property managers was very easy. I would highly recommend this property.

Sunset Solitude

Outstanding location for an evening sunset view! The property is very quite and peaceful during both day and night. A short walk down the road to Cane Bay Beach offers a great convenience to enjoy the beautiful beach without the hassle of driving and parking. The pool and outdoor space offer a great great view of the ocean, sunset, and stars. The house generator is a great utility which kept the air conditioning running, as we lost grid power once during the night.

Location is perfect

We had a wonderful time. Kent was great to work with. The kitchen was spacious and the two rooms with the king beds were large. The apartment was smaller than what we pictured but still worked for us. The pool was beautiful Location was so convenient. We could walk down to the restaurants or beach for snorkeling. Easy drive to town to grab groceries or go on an adventure. Mosquitoes did come out at night so bring some spray. Nothing beat having coffee with the sunrise and wine with the sunset. We would come back.

Fantastic view

We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and also at the pool where there was just enough sun and shade to suite each of us. The kitchen was well equiped. We used the two en suite bedroom/ bathrooms in the main house, as well as the small apartment downstairs for our daughter. We all found our stays quite lovely and convenient for walks down to the beach and restaurants.

This is it!

The lights went out one evening as we were sitting on the veranda and we immediately placed bets on how long the power would be out and how were going to make dinner. 20 seconds later the emergency generator kicked in and the lights came back on. I only mention this to point out that Villa Dawn has everything. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make any dinner you want so it's an easy decision to stay in for dinner and enjoy the sunset from the veranda. Food tip: Drive north on Northshore Rd along the coast. Just past the Pitstop gas station you will see a tarp off to the right. Ask for Fred. Lobsters ... Villa Dawn even has Lobsters. After lobsters there isn't much more I can add. This place was great for our 3 couples and that can be hard to find. You won't be sorry if you go.

Perfect location

This was our second stay in st. Croix, this home was ideal for a family. The location was great and the house fit our needs. There are a few beachside bars/restaurants at the bottom of the driveway and cane bay right across the street.

Great Villa but Misleading Ad

After paying a $2000 deposit, I got a message that there were additional guest charges. The house listed for up to 14 and there were only 3 of us. This was not stated in the ad. I did not see the message for 3-4 days and my dates were not held until I responded, even though the deposit was paid. Check-in info it stated the AC could not be below 74 or there would be a $200 fine. This was not in the ad or contract. I would not have reserved knowing this. I love USVI/BVI and respect power conservation. I just need cool to sleep. When we arrived the AC was broken in the upstairs, downstairs was fine. The first few nights I slept in 85+ temps, after it was partially fixed, 80 degrees and awoke to 72 (He spotted me 2 degrees) It was broken days before our arrival. I would have appreciated a heads up and offer for refund although we probably couldn’t have found anything last minute. Kent was responsive during the stay and gave me a $700 refund. I appreciated it but since I didn’t sleep well the entirety of the trip I asked for more. He declined and that’s his prerogative. His info was resourceful, gave us the cheapest grocery and he recommended a private chef that was fabulous. Great location, the kitchen was well stocked with pans etc., it was super clean, outdoor area was large with a high-end grill and the pool with the views were amazing. Overall, except the AC, the accommodations were great. However, I wouldn’t stay there again because I feel the ad was deceiving

Of all the places we have traveled together, St. Croix was the place that we truly fell in love with. We love to swim, snorkel, SCUBA dive (St. Croix has some of the best diving anywhere), sail, eat, drink, shop, eat and drink some more...St. Croix has it all!

We visited St. Croix for the first time in 1998. We had already been to many of the Caribbean Islands, as well as many other tropical destinations, so we thought we would give St. Croix a try. We invited my parents to come with us and rented a villa not too far from where Villa Dawn is located. One day during this fateful trip, after my Dad and I probably had one too many Rum drinks, I sat looking out at the view and dreamed of one day owning a home of my own on St. Croix. I told my wife that I had been calculating....if we used all of our savings we just might be able to buy a house on St. Croix and rent it enough to pay the bills. She said, 'That's a nice idea but I don't think so!' The next morning, as I was sitting out on the deck nursing a terrible headache, she came over and said, 'You know, I've been thinking, you're probably right, we could do it' to which I replied 'Do what?' I didn't remember the conversation at all! Several months later we were on a Caribbean Cruise with Dawn's Mom and St. Croix was one of the Ports of Call. We decided to look at some real estate...just for the fun of it. By noon that day we found Villa Dawn, a mere shadow of what it is today, and put in an offer. The next day we were docked on St. Thomas. We called the real estate agent on St. Croix from a phone on the beach. 'Did they accept our offer?' we asked. YES! was the reply! OH...MY...GOSH! WHAT DID WE DO! The rest is history...we now own three vacation rental properites on St. Croix!

Villa Dawn is located in one of the most beautiful areas of St. Croix. The views are as good as any I have seen in the world! It is within a short walk of Cane Bay Beach, 4 waterfront restaurants, horseback riding, kayak rentals, SCUBA diving and snorkeling. It is an awesome place for a couple wanting some privacy and romance, as well as a great place for multiple couples or a family vacation. Everyone just loves the place!
