Beach front home in a gated community (Baja del Mar) located just north of Rosarito Beach, Baja California, less than 17 miles from the US border Close to town, great restaurants..... We are a family of beach lovers and surfers who built and have owned the recently remodeled home since the early 70s. 180 degree unobstructed ocean, sun, surf and sunsets, great Mexican food and culture, and the easy beach life is what it is all about.

(Update: We leave a full day between guests for a thorough cleaning so we cannot accept a request to calendar without a full day between guests. We also have a no contact key pick up and are using disinfectant on non wood surfaces with special attention to high touch areas. Sheets are cleaned in hot water.)

You enter the home from a large patio overlooking the beach with with views of the ocean and the Coronado Islands in the distance. Depending on the tide, the ocean can be literally a stoneā€™s throw away. The front of the house has a great room with a full kitchen/dining area and extensive ocean views. There are 3 bedrooms and two large bathrooms with beds for 12, including two bedrooms with lofts and queen beds. The master suite ā€œLos Padresā€ has a queen bed, attached bathroom and a partial ocean view. ā€œElenaā€™s ā€ room sleeps four with a queen bed and a loft with a queen bed. The third room bedroom, ā€œEl Apartamentoā€ sleeps up to 6 with two queen beds, and a loft with a queen bed. It has an attached bathroom with a large walk in shower and rinse off bench with a second shower valve. Our baths and kitchen feature custom tile work, and we have custom woodwork and furnishings made by local craftpersons throughout.

There is an enclosed two door garage at the rear of the house with parking for two vehicles. The garage also has a washer and dryer, beach and patio chairs, surfboards, a beach volleyball set up, and other beach toys/gear for your use.

We are far enough away from the town of Rosarito Beach that we enjoy a quite beach, but are still within a few minute drive to restaurants, markets, and other services in Rosarito Norte and just 10 minutes from all that Rosarito has to offer. Take the toll road further south and you will be in Popotla, a new arts and food district, or you can visit the lobster village, the Wine country, Ensenada, or other beaches and coastal sites all in well under an hour.

Fabulous for our family get together

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The home was as described in the listing. It was comfortable, clean and well equipped! Just like a home away from home! We enjoyed some rainy days sitting in the living room watching the sea and weather as well as some sunny days we spent on the sand fishing, playing horseshoes and walking along the water. Sunsets were amazing! The host was very responsive and friendly when I asked for restaurant recommendations and additional information. The internet worked well and the hot water was immediate and stayed hot! We were also pleased to be able to park both our vehicles in the garage. I felt safe as there is a 24hr guard at the gate and we saw a guard doing patrol around the gated community. The community was quiet and relaxed. You can see the love and appreciation for the home and we will definitely be back!

Spectacularly Charming Stay

From the gated community to the relaxing beach, the experience was magnificent. The ocean delights one's soul while relaxing outdoors on the large front deck or gazing from the indoor benches through the exquisite arched windows. Breathtaking and invigorating stay!

Beautiful Spot on the Beach

Our stay was great in Rosarito. It accommodated our two large families and provided beautiful views of the ocean. The owner was very communicative and we felt we could ask whatever we needed. We utilized the ocean toys and kitchen and had a wonderful time. I would recommend the Ziffā€™s place anytime.

Amazing Beach Views

Great location, with amazing views, close to shopping centers and restaurants. The place was very clean. The host was very helpful and always quickly responded to any questions. My fam and I plan on staying here again.

A wonderful experience!

This house was awesome! Everyone in our group had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the experience. We could not have been closer to the beach/water without actually being in the ocean. The house was secure and conveniently located to Walmart and other shopping/dining options. The property manager was responsive and explained everything with lots of patience. We will be back for sure!

Amazing beach proximity!

Great location on the beach. Walmart shopping center located very near. Short drive to downtown Rosarito. Our family had a great time here. Weā€™ll definitely be back again :)

Fun and relaxing introduction to the Rosarito area!

My husband, our son and his girlfriend wanted a comfortable place to relax together before starting new jobs and extensive summer travel. The Ziffs house fit that bill perfectly! Local, lovely decor, great space, comfy beds, great kitchen and amenities, amazing view and sounds of the surf, and close to to Walmart for supplies. If you want remote and chill, this is it!

Beauty and safe getaway

We loved staying at the Ziffā€™s house! I came with a group of friends and we enjoyed relaxing on the deck and surfing nearby at K38. Would definitely recommend!!

Amazing!

Loved the place, the home was surprisingly just or better than how it looked in pictures. It was a last minite get away for my husband and I and our adult children. So close to walmart and downtown Rosarito beaches. Oxxos are so close by if you need anything last minute. The owners provided board games and volleyball nets and grill if interested. I would definitely recommend and would like to rent it again. Lovvveee it!

10/10 House and Experience

The house itself is incredible and in the cutest secure cobblestone street neighborhood. The Ziffs were extremely helpful and able to give informative tips and suggestions about the area and about the house in general. The check in process was easy and communicated to me early so we had an idea of what to be ready for. Overall great experience being in the area for the weekend and canā€™t wait to go back to Baja del Mar!

Excellent Property For A Relaxing Stay

Property was big and cozy. The views can't be beaten. Plenty of towels and linens for a big group. Only disadvantage was distance to commercial centers so stock up with some supplies when you arrive.

This home is literally on the beach steps away from water, house was also very clean and beds where comfortable. You can leave the door open and just listen to the ocean all day.

Cute vacation home

The property itself is beautiful and well kept. The owners were extremely communicative and responsive. Iā€™d say this property is ideal for a family, definitely not large groups. The plumbing for this house cannot accommodate a large group of people. The toilet backed up and it is very difficult to find a weekend plumber in Mexico. Although the issue was fixed eventually, it was incredibly stressful. We were compensated for the inconvenience but these are the issues that may arise in Mexico. Otherwise the home was very cute and we enjoyed our stay!

FAMILY FUN!

The property was beautiful, everything was more than i can expect. House was on the beach and the kids had a blast. Beds are very comfortable and the house was very clean. Neighbors are very friendly along with the security on-site. I definitely plan on coming back with my family to this location again; im already planning my next stay!!!

We are southern Californians who enjoy Mexico and itā€™s culture. Our home was built by our parents and the lot chosen by their surfer sons for the waves in front. Our home and this beautiful part of Baja continue to be enjoyed by our children. Our new remodel was a labor of love and we used local crafts persons to help us.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

Our typical day: We fall asleep and wake to the sounds of the surf. We sit on the porch and watch the waves for dolphins and whales, pelicans flying in formation and other marine life, and check out the tide and waves. We walk down the steps to the beach to test the water, walk to the tide pools a few houses down, or just sit and enjoy. We go back and forth, house and beach (literally steps away) Whatever the weather or at high tide we might hang out on the patio or grab one of the indoor window seats and read, play games, or plan a trip to town if we can tear ourselves away! Usually that is to enjoy some great food or go shopping. We try to be back on the deck for the best sunset often with drinks and appetizers. After all these years even we canā€™t resist taking pictures.
