Oceanfront Luxury House with Stunning Views

Prime dates now available!! Enjoy stunning ocean views. Elegance and luxury in a beach house with panoramic seascape vistas. And we are located well away from the crowds -- often the beach is completely empty in front of the house.

This oceanfront cottage is completely private. It has been floor-to-ceiling renovated with an upscale modern coastal vibe that was designed by Susie to keep all different styles of vacationers in mind.

Clean lines and custom furniture let the stunning 180-degree ocean views do all the talking. Two sets of sliding double doors open up to a large sunbathing deck with plenty of furniture to enjoy the ocean breeze (and tan without the sand), while sipping your favorite beverage.

Outdoor dining for two is also recommended if you like romance, as you have an unobstructed view of over 2 miles of coastline (great for taking vacation pics).

For your convenience, we boast the shortest walk to the sand you can buy on the island if you feel like walking down to the beach to check on your family. But where Susie's Hideaway West really shines is when you wake up from a vacation siesta to the unbeatable views of the sand and ocean from our custom-made napping couch.

Linens and towels are included. Also we are only 5 minutes on a walking path from a wine store, grocery stores, and restaurants.

Susie's Hideaway West features all new kitchen with granite countertops, new appliances, new flooring, new bedding, ceiling fans, dishwasher, washer/dryer, 4 flat screen TVs, and wireless high-speed Internet access.

Susie's Hideaway is a duplex (with two sides, East and West). This listing is for the West side. It is completely private -- there are no common or shared areas. You will be able to enjoy the beach in complete privacy. And we are located well away from the crowds -- often the beach is completely empty in front of the house, allowing complete enjoyment of the white sandy beaches!

Tesla and EV Owners: We have a 120V electrical outlet located in the parking bays to charge your vehicle.

Beautiful location

Even though our trip was cut short by weather related issues (thanks a lot Hurricane Debby), we enjoyed the time we had. The hosts were amazing to work with and the property is in a perfect location. We will definitely be back!

Very comfortable property (especially the beds!). The views were, of course, the best part. Everyone had a great time and i would recommend this home.

It felt like paradise

The property is beautifully decorated in a coastal beachy vibe. The kitchen was well stocked with about everything you’d need to cook with. This property offered comfortable indoor/outdoor living with panoramic ocean views. We just got home and we are already talking about another visit later this fall.

Great stay

Very much enjoyed our stay! House was very nice and being right on the beach was awesome. Great views of the ocean from the deck. Only downside if any that i could think of is that it's a duplex and we had neighbors who had lots of guests everyday who filled the driveway with vehicles and stayed up pretty late partying. But this is obviously no fault of the owners you just never know. This wouldn't stop me from staying here again we still had a great vacation.

Emerald Isle Newbies

The property was exactly as described! We were so happy with every part of the vacation rental. We did not require the property manager's assistance but we had her information if needed. William and Suzie were great! They answered all my silly questions in great time and provided great information about the area. This was our first trip to Emerald Isle and we will definitely return! I would definitely book with them again!

Good but not great

Great location & house is well furnished & equipped. Unfortunately the AC was out & the first night was very uncomfortable. The second day a temporary portable AC unit was installed but was insufficient to cool entire house. A 2nd unit was installed day 3 but was very noisy. Ceiling fan in 1st floor master bedroom was very noisy. A new AC unit was installed day 4 & owner voluntarily refunded us $400 which was much less than the cost of 1 nights stay.

Beach Fun!

Property was clean, had a well equipped kitchen and lots of thoughtful extras ( flashlights/charging cables/first aid kits) was in a great location for a couple of restaurants and grocery stores and some shopping. Perfect vacation stay.

Could have been better

The house is great location. Close to stores and restaurants and the beach view is fantastic. It's a little smaller than I thought based on the pictures but it still worked well for myself, my husband and our 3 younger kids. Without going into specific detail, The 3 star rating came due to some cleanliness issues we had while there. The owners did respond to our claims and compensate us for the issues but in general I didn't feel like they were as concerned with the problems as I thought they should be.

Great Spot

Great location and house. 3 adults and 2 young kids. Cozy size. 5 minute drive to groceries. Would recommend! It's right next to a public beach access, so you have to get set up early on the beach or you risk losing your spot right in front of the house. Minimal supplies at the house, so you will have to go to the store before or very shortly after arrival.

Excellent location and very clean

The location is perfect. We loved the neighborhood and the deck. We walked daily to get exercise and the fresh air was exhilarating. Being directly oceanfront is so nice and it’s so easy when you need to make lunch or go back to get anything you forgot. The house is smaller than it looks in the pictures. The twin bed is in the same room as the queen and that was not apparent in the pictures. The kitchen is a little small but it had everything we needed to cook while we were there. The washer and dryer are great to have so you can wash towels and suits daily. It is a compact set so be warned if you have a larger family as it does take longer to wash and dry. We loved the rental and we will definitely remember for future vacations. The communication with the owners was excellent and they were very proactive in providing what we needed to know in advance.

Oceanfront fun

Susie’s Hideaway was a perfect spot for a weekend-end for our group of three long-time friends. The decor was contemporary, comfortable and pretty, with lots of attention to detail: numerous plug outlets, wireless chargers, cloth laundry bags, and ample hooks in the bathrooms and bedrooms. You could not ask for a better ocean view nor a quieter beach. William and Susie were excellent communicators. We hope to be back!

Wonderful location

Comfortable beds, amazing view, thoughtful placement of extra charging cables in every room for every type of device with extra outlets. There is only 1 tub and it does not drain the water/sand down but we were able to shower the kids. Small shower not for the tall. No dish rags, made due and recommended . Thank you!

Wonderful stay

Gorgeous property with an even more gorgeous beach and view. We had never stayed in Emerald Isle prior to this trip, but after exploring the island, we found this location to be ideal. You’re close enough to walk or bike to restaurants and grocery stores, but it’s far from the high rise buildings so you feel you almost have the beach all to yourself (or at least we did during early April). The convenience of being able to walk down to the beach straight from the large deck was priceless. We loved everything about this place: the furnishings were clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the beds were awesome. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to cook in (we cooked a lot of meals as we didn’t want to leave the house and the view!) We had a range of ages from three teenagers to grandparents in their 70s, and everyone was happy and comfortable. We rented bikes from Beach Wheels which were inexpensive and convenient since they deliver and pick up. We also went kayaking at Barrier Island Kayaks, which we really enjoyed. Emerald Isle Woods Park was a short bike ride away and has a great frisbee golf course and a put-in for kayaks/SUPs. Owner had great, fast communication. Highly recommend this spot for a family getaway.

Susie and I bought this beach cottage in June of 2017, and spent two years lovingly renovating and restoring it.

It was a far bigger project than we ever imagined, as we gutted the cottage down to the studs, and rebuilt everything. The natural wood paneling is all that remains of the original house.

Our goal is to create a modern oasis, with a contemporary upscale flair and a coastal vibe. Relax, turn off your cell-phone & computers, and enjoy the beach!

We fell in love on this beach, and we got married on this beach. The views from our beach cottage are, in our opinion, among the most stunningly beautiful views in the world. It is heaven!

Susie's Hideaway is eco-friendly, situated atop the dunes overlooking the ocean, surrounded by untouched native coastal Carolina vegetation. We do not use any pesticide or defolients anywhere on the property, nor have we added a manicured lawn or other unnatural landscaping. Our beach is a loggerhead turtle nesting area. We are in harmony with nature.
