Villa Andalucía is a Spanish Colonial home in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Our speciality is romantic fun vacations. Villa Andalucia is perfect for honeymooners, couples, girlfriend trips, couples traveling together, active seniors, digital nomads and single women travelers. We have two private Casitas for our guest to choose from.

The design of Villa Andalucía was inspired by the Spanish Colonial homes in Spain and Antigua, Guatemala. Our property is beautifully decorated with furniture, antiques and accessories from all over the world. We have created an environment for relaxation where you can enjoy the nature and beauty of Tamarindo. You will love our simple elegance that sets us apart from other accommodations in town. We are a family run business for over 16 years and we love what we do and work hard to give you the best stay possible. Minimum stay is 5 nights unless otherwise stated on our calendar.

We have two accommodations so please email us about availability in our other Casita since this calendar only shows the availability in Casita Andalucia.

Villa Andalucia is nestled in a quiet, private neighborhood of Tamarindo and is a 5 minute walk or quick bike ride to shopping, restaurants and the beautiful beaches of Tamarindo.

Casita Andalucía has beautiful garden and pool views. This Casita has a kitchenette with a 2 burner cooktop, microwave, and mini fridge. The living area has a loveseat and armoire, flat screen TV, DVD player, and iPod cradle. The private bathroom has a large spacious shower with hot water. The comfortable bed in Casita Andalucia is queen size. both our accommodations have wireless internet and AC.

Casita Seville is located next door and overlooks a large, lush, private garden. In the garden is a rancho with two hammocks and a table and chairs for dining. Casita Seville has a kitchenette with a 4 burner cook top, microwave and full size fridge. This Casita also has a flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod cradle, private bathroom and large shower with hot water. The bed in this Casita is king size and there is a large closet for our guest with extended stays.

Villa Andalucía has parking for those with rental cars or golf carts. If Tamarindo is your only destination in Costa Rica you really do not need a car. We can arrange private transport to and from the Liberia Airport for our guest, the fare is $90.00 total per couple each way. We can arrange your pick you up at the Tamarindo airport if you flying in from San Jose. Laundry service is available for $10.00 per load.

Our family at Villa Andalucia are delighted to introduce you to Tamarindo and give you a list of recommended restaurants, tours, fishing excursions and answer any questions you might have to make your vacation with us the best ever. We are a family run business and our mission at Villa Andalucía is to give you an incredible stay for a great price. We are a small property which enables us to give our guest the individualized special attention and treatment they deserve during their stay with us. We consider ourselves a high quality property for an exceptional price.

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing, vacation within the confines of a private Villa, this is the place for you. If a vacation of partying and carousing town is more your style, please seek accommodations elsewhere as that type of travel style is not permitted at Villa Andaluica. Only the guest on the reservation are allowed on the property for everyones safety and comfort.

We are the perfect place for Honeymoons, Baby-moons, elopements, executive surf trips with your wife, anniversary celebrations, birthdays, romantic getaways, parents of the bride or groom, digital nomads and safe place for you ladies traveling alone.

Nice 2 night stay

We were only in town for a quick 2 night stay. Lovely spot, great breakfast, wonderful hosts. If back in Tamarindo we would stay again.

Gorgeous property, relaxing stay, friendly hosts

Beautifully decorated accommodations, nice private yard and pool area, easy walk to beach and restaurants. Gary and Jolene were also great hosts who made us feel welcome, gave good recommendations and helped make connections for us with different activities, and shared lots of interesting stories. Would highly recommend.

Honeymoon stay

We stayed with Jolene and Gary for the 2nd part of our honeymoon. Their home was so beautiful and they were so welcoming that we knew we picked the correct place. Stunning property, close to everything but separate enough not to hear anything. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful property and hosts, great location!

Jolene and Gary have created a wonderful space in their garden and rooms that they rent out. Everything was topped off with the most delicious breakfast before our busy day adventuring around town. They’re well-connected in the community and could give you recommendations to anything you might want to do. We loved our stay, the garden is amazing and the room was well equipped and super comfortable. we’d definitely visit here again!

Wonderful property

My husband and I loved our stay in Tamarindo. The property and garden are lovely. The apartment was immaculate and the furnishings were beautiful. We’d never stayed in such a comfortable VRBO. In addition, Gary was a wonderful host and made us feel right at home. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

The Best!

Great B and B place!

Property is beautiful, breakfast and attention to detail are great- Jolene and Gary were very helpful and extremely accommodating!! We have never done a bed and breakfast before and determined that it is not for us- nothing to do with the place or Gary/Jolene- just not for us is all. We did however, appreciate what great care and attention to detail Gary and Jolene put into everything and how responsive they were to all of us as guests. The other guests were awesome and the room was awesome. Thank you for everything! Recommend it if a bed and breakfast is for you!

Beautiful property with wonderful hosts!

Wow! This property was so much more than we expected! Jolene and Gary are amazing hosts and their beautiful property reflects their authentic warm and generous spirits. We enjoyed everything from the quiet serenity of the saltwater pool to the gourmet breakfasts. Having been our first trip to Costa Rica we were very much appreciative of their sharing of local knowledge and recommendations of where and (more importantly) where not to go. The property is conveniently located within a short walking distance of Tamarindo Beach and countless restaurants. We plan to return annually for many years to come to stay at this beautiful property and visit our friends Jolene and Gary!!

Relaxing vacation

We loved our stay with Gary and Jolene. Our accomadations were exactly as shown in the pictures and they were beautiful and well looked after. Fresh flowers were in our suite which was a nice touch. Everything you wanted was provide. We loved our breakfasts. We were given the option to have as much privacy as we wanted or to be as social. Any need was taken care off. The area has beautiful beaches and lots of great places to eat. I loved having drinks on the beach while we enjoyed the sunset. Would love to go back. Highly recommend it.

OMG What a wonderful place! I would recommend it to my family, friends and everyone els!

The property was amazing! It was clean, beautiful and had so much local flavor and ambiance. Even better than the property were the hosts!! They were exceptional!! They greated us when we arrived and welcomed us with a tour of the property and a venture into town to pick up some groceries and dinner for the night. The next morning we were treated to an amazing breakfast provided by Maria. She did breakfast Monday to Friday and there were times that we didn’t need much more during the coarse of the day. They made sure we were comfortable and if there was anything wanting ( which there wasn’t ) they would look after it. Gary and Jolene made all our arrangements for drivers and tours, they recommended restaurants, dropped us off at the beach and accompanied us to a true local sopa. It was sad to say goodbye to such amazing “friends”. We hope to see them again on our next visit to Costa Rica

Great romantic vacation spot!

Jolene and Gary were like old friends! We enjoyed our conversations with them both and were surprised at how much we had in common. We came to Tamarindo to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. This was our second time in Tamarindo. Gary gave us some amazing recommendations for restaurants which were all fabulous. The short walk to the beach was easily accessible and there was a grocery store a block away. Maria was an amazing cook and her breakfasts were better than any meal you can get in a restaurant. There is no need to rent a car, everything is an easy walk. The accommodations were beautifully decorated with finds from Gary and Jolene’s travels and the bed was comfortable, shower had hot water, all appliances worked great and the bed was comfortable. I cant think of a single thing they can improve on. They arranged for our transport to and from the airport which was timely and comfortable. We will definitely be back!! We feel like family 😊

Best vacation ever!!!!

This vacation was to celebrate mine and my husband's 20 year anniversary and I have to say it was the perfect location to do so. First of all Jolene and Gary made this trip so special by handling everything from booking excursions to suggesting the best places to eat. They know their stuff!!!! Every place they sent us exceeded our expectations! I have to say even as many excursions as we took I still felt like this was a super relaxing trip!! The town is so laid back, no need for ANYTHING dressy! Jolene & Gary's home is gorgeous, extremely relaxing, in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to everything! And, Maria's breakfast are amazing!! These people are the most hospitable and accommodating we've ever experienced. We will be going back to stay with Jolene and Gary again and again in our future travels!!! Highly recommend this quiet retreat to any couple wanting a nice place to stay to spend quality romantic time together!! ----The Stegall's from Texas

La propriété est magnifique, l'espace extérieur est très grand et joliment aménagé. Les propriétaires Jolene et Gary sont très accueillants et charmants. Maria, qui prépare les petits déjeuners est excellente cuisinière et prépare quelque chose de différent chaque jour. Tout près de la plage, se marche bien mais, les rues n'étant pas pavées, c'est très poussiéreux. Ce fut un superbe séjour. Thank you Jolene and Gary for your kindness and hospitality.

The BEST experience!

This was such a fantastic place to stay in Tamarindo. Not only is it absolutely beautiful, it is so close to all the restaurants, shops, and beach. Maria’s breakfast every morning was incredible! All of Jolene and Gary’s recommendations for actives were spot on and so fun. Douglas was a fantastic guide and Eric was an awesome surf instructor!

What an amazing property! It was clean, private, and the perfect location for those wanting to stay a short a distance from all of the busy downtown streets. Everything was beyond our expectations the entire stay. We stayed about 5 nights at Villa Andalucia and the only complaint is that we had to leave and travel back home. Beautiful property, perfect location and Gary and Jolene are the best hosts ive ever had. Made you feel right at home and super helpful! Wonderful Hosts

Our stay at the Villa was delightful and Jolene & Gary are the best hosts ever. We felt welcomed as soon as we walked onto the property. The gardens are a great place to spend the afternoon with a book. Maria made and served us very tasty breakfasts. The Villa is close to downtown & restaurants but far enough away to be quiet & restful. An exceptional place to spend some time.

Fantastic Property!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The owners are very good hosts and they have an awesome property in a great location! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived! Our casita was beautiful and comfortable and we looked forward to the delicious breakfast every morning. We took the owners recommendations for tours and hired their recommended private driver. Worked out great and the driver even took us to our next location in Arenal. Very convenient. The owners were so friendly and took us to an amazing local restaurant for lunch. Tamarindo beach can be very busy and this location was a perfect relaxation spot after fun days exploring the beach and surrounding area. Highly recommend!

Gary and I have lived in Tamarindo since 2000. We drove to Costa Rica with our son and another family from California for the adventure of a lifetime. Upon arriving to Costa Rica after our epic three month journey through Latin America, we started a new chapter in our lives. An unlikely couple, Gary is from New Jersey and me, a native Californian, it is our love of travel and adventure that keeps us happy and laughing. Prior to moving to Costa Rica, Gary spent his first career of 30 years in Medicine and I was a teacher and Interior Designer. Once we arrived in Tamarindo laying in hammocks all day for 3 months was just not enough. So, Gary ventured into a new career in real estate to spice things up for the next 10 years. Gary retired once again in 2012 as one of the busiest, most successful and well respected realtors in our area. In 2004, when our son Brooks left for college, we were lonely and thought it might be fun to rent out one of our casitas that we used only a couple times a year for family. Little did we know how much fun it would be and the friends we would make along the way. We invite you to come be our guest and see what life is like living in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We will show you this lovely country and Tamarindo through our eyes and give you, in our humble opinion, the best places to eat and send you on the adventure tours that best fit your vacation style. What we did not know was that the house we originally built to sell would turn out to be our dream home and fulfill my life long desire to have a guest house. We love Tamarindo for its great beaches, sunsets, wildlife, adventure activities and of course the vast array of restaurants. We have traveled all over the world and have never found a beach town we love more. Tamarindo has grown but is still one place in Costa Rica and the world where you can go, do and see it all in one place on your vacation. We are the perfect property for honeymooner's, babymoons executive surf trips and those looking for a quiet, relaxing or active getaway.

Our colonial architecture with furniture, art and accessories from our travels make for a warm, eclectic, welcoming environment. Plus, you can't beat the pool and garden areas to relax after a day at the beach or a canopy tour. You will love your 'Casitas for two,' that was decorated lovingly over the years for your pleasure and comfort. I love how our Villa has many different areas to enjoy, the pool, the rancho, the bistro area and the grand patio, something for everyone.
