Villa Cancello del Leone in Tuscany, with a Magic View and Pool

Spend a dream vacation in a hilltop Tuscan villa away from the hustle and bustle of big cities, yet close to major attractions. Enjoy the pool and magic views or visit nearby cities & villages. The villa accommodates up to 12 people: there are 2 bedrooms with double beds, 2 bedrooms with 2 twin beds & 3 bathrooms in the main house; 1 bedroom with a double bed, and another with 2 twin beds & 1 bathroom on a lower level (with a separate entrance). Large pool (11x5m) with shallow area for kids, umbrellas, sunbeds, slides & swings for small children.
The courtyard garden is ideal for stylish al fresco dining.
Another romantic dining area is on the terrace of the garden. It can provide a tranquil retreat for enjoying a morning coffee or for sipping a glass of Tuscan red with majestic view of surrounding mountains.
There are many separate areas for groups of people to have their own space, and to enjoy different activities – from playing board games, swimming, reading in the garden to cooking and grilling.
There are many things to do:
•Visit Uffizzi gallery, Duomo and beautiful piazzas of Florence (1 hour and 40 minute drive away.)
•Learn how marble is cut (local tours to Carrara quarries are available)
•Enjoy a boat ride around famous Cinque terres (1 hour and 20 min drive away)
•Taste the real Parmegiano Regiano cheese in local cheese factories (Parma is 1 and 30 min drive away)
•Learn how the real balsamic vinegar is made (Modena is 2 hour drive away)
•Test drive a Ferrari (Ferrari museum and factory are in Maranello, 2 hour drive away)
Markets
The village has a small convenience store which has only basic essentials and is open only for a couple of hours a day, and there is another one down the road, 5 min. away. However, 15 min drive away, in Gragnola, there is a Carrefour Express supermarket with good selection of produce, meats and local specialties. More markets can be found in Fivizzano – 30 min away.
The nearest railway station is in Gragnola 15 minutes away, easy access to Lucca and the Garfagnana by train.
Aulla station is 25km away with access to major cities for sightseeing, Parma, Florence, Pisa, Genoa
