This studio is perfect for a couple or a solo traveler, offering a private balcony where you feel the cool Gulf breezes and shared access to a resort pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and fitness center.

This studio is located in the Surfside Resort, which offers a sky bridge that connects to the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. When you're not strolling on the sand, collecting seashells, or kayaking in the warm Gulf waves, you can cool off with a dip in the rooftop swimming pool. You'll also be only one mile west of the Silver Sands Premium Outlets, three miles east of the Emerald Bay Golf Club, and four miles east of Destin Commons.

Construction notice: Surfside Resort will be undergoing construction from 11/9/20 - 2/28/2021. There will be special parking and entry rules in effect during this time. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

My stay.

My floor which was the first floor had a lot of noise at night not really quiet as stated . Overall it was a nice place to stay customer service was amazing, room very clean & comfortable.

Room needs work.

Only location was really good, close to beach, restaurant, parking. Nice resort with nice views from deck with pool. Room is not so good. Bathroom doesn't have sink, air conditioning doesn't work properly, also the all fees what we pay to Vacasa It is higher than the rent for this apartment. Anyway we had nice time on the beach. Beach and location are beautiful.

Smaller than I expected but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The bed sat high off the floor and made it difficult to get on. Secondly the bed was sinking downward at the top of the bed. We slept with our heads at the bottom of the bed so we didn't feel like our heads were lower than our feet. On a good note the on-site restaurant, bar, spa and pools were all spectacular.

Individual unit is fine, resort is a nightmare

The unit was exactly as pictured and served our needs for the stay. Large shower, private balcony area, and 2nd floor unit were all perks of this rental. Our experience with resort where the unit is located was another matter. The staff was unfriendly, unhelpful, and in some cases downright rude. They do not allow golf cards or electric scooters on the property (a standard mode of transportation for the area) but think nothing of it to have grocery shopping carts littering the entry ways and common areas.

This place was right across from the beach. The onsight restaurant was very good and the staff was pleasant.

We were only there one night and it wasn't really a good time.

The inside of the hotel smelled of marijuana up and down the hallways, it was gross. We went to the beach round 5 or 5:30 and was told we couldn't use the chairs from our hotel nor could we sit at the either of two bonfires (also being done by our hotel). We were also told the beach closed at 5pm. We walked down to look at cause that was the thing we really wanted to do. And the guys that told us we couldn't use the chairs and we couldn't join the bonfire watched like we criminals, made us uncomfortable til we left like 10 minutes of being on the beach. We did go to the little bar across the street and people were still on the beach and the bonfires were still going on. So very rude people working at the hotel. We did have our wrist bands on and showed them,and still very rude to us. So when we decide to come back we will not be staying there again. Hotel room had black marks all over it bathroom door know was broken. Just not a good experience for us being our first time there. If you need pictures of the room I have them. Took them as soon as we entered the room.

Overall great!

Similar to a Airbnb, great amenities, other than personal preference things were great! Some things to note: bed was super soft, so if you need more support, you’ll have a mild backache. Also, might be user error but all the water coming from the taps and shower were scalding hot. Not sure if that was a single unit issue, or user error. The heated pool was nice since the ocean was too cold during our stay in late march. Short walk to beach was also a super big plus!

IT'S THE AMENITIES

I've read reviews of this palce that complained about the view, but for the winter rate that I paid for a month this was a GREAT VALUE. Room is on the same level as the gym, the pool/hot tub area and the bridge that goes over to the beach bar. Also on the same level as the restaurant which provides very good food affordable drinks and excellent service. Very close location to all grocery stores, coffee shops etc. All in all a value!

Will stay again!

Pros- The room was clean and updated and there were plenty of extra towels, pillows, and even a cooler available. The shower was spacious and had great water pressure. The room itself was the perfect size for myself and my daughter. The on-site restaurant was delicious, the wait was never long for 2, and the staff was really friendly. It’s a vacay zone though so prepare to overpay. The majority of the pictures are on point accurate. There were weddings every night we were there so there was always some kind of festivity, music, etc. It was a really great time overall! Cons- The pictures make it look like if you look one way from the balcony you are looking at a wall and the other you can see the ocean, but friends that is not the case. The entire view from the balcony is the wall of the sports area and a portion of the parking garage. The gym is dated and missing key buttons on cardio equipment and the key pads that are supposed to promote a sense of exclusivity throughout the resort are broken. There are only 2 elevators for the entire building and they take forever and are always packed... silver lining, this unit is on the 2nd floor which has the fitness center, sports area, pool, restaurant, and sky bridge to the beach so easy access to everything! If you need to get to the garage, it’s only one flight down so we rarely needed to take the elevator. Woohoo!

Room was old and not cleaned.

The room and bedding look good in the pictures but it was old and not cleaned. Lights were out. Enjoyed the pool, restaurant, Royal Palm Grille, beach service. Staff was very nice!
