1041 Sparrow Pond cottage is a favorite vacation spot on Kiawah. Nicely appointed furnishings, newer floors and Stay connected with free wifi.

We will allow a dog with up to $200 damage deposit able to be charged up to 2 weeks after your vacation.

All Sparrow Pond Cottages are stand alone cottages, situated in West Beach Village, and in close proximity to many of Kiawah’s most treasured sights and activities.

I gave this rental 5-stars for value and close proximity to the beach. An easy 5-minute walk to one of the nicest beaches in South Carolina. The beach extents for 10-miles. The cottage is well maintained and very comfortable. The neighborhood consists of ponds and ample wooded areas. Making it not feel like your typical congested beach town. My only suggestion is to have a few more condiments like spices and olive and cooking oil. There was only salt and pepper. Other than that I would definitely considering returning next year.

Lovely rental. My wife and our dog stayed for 5 days last minute decision. Management was very responsive, helpful and available for any concerns or questions. House is in a great location. Very convenient to the pool and access to the ocean. Just a short walk to both. Definitely will stay there again.

Relaxing getaway!

The cottage (especially the treehouse-like screened sunporch) exceeded our expectations! The location was excellent, with the beach just a short walk away. Communication with the host was easy. We hope to make it back to this same cottage some day in the future.

Relaxing stay in great location

Cottage was very clean and consistent with the pictures and description. Location was only a few minutes easy walk from the beach which was great. Our stay was very relaxing and Susie was very responsive. Definitely recommend.

Perfect Kiawah house!!

Not only was our stay amazing but the property manager was so helpful and accommodating! We fled from hurricane Helene and found this to be a home away from home. We have been staying in Kiawah for over a decade and this is our favorite spot!!

Great location, clean, pet friendly, & walk to beach

My family had a great time in Kiawah with this rental property being very clean, a short walk to the beach, and pet friendly. The little things like the hose to wash off our beach gear in the carport and outdoor shower to wash off the sand before going inside was a great perk of this property. We also enjoyed the outdoor screened in porch and quiet neighborhood. The only thing that could have made this stay even better would have been if the bed linens were a little softer, especially after a day in the sun. Overall, a great stay and we will be back! Highly recommend!

Perfect family week long getaway stay!

Highly recommend this property for a family getaway! We had two adults and an infant and still had space. Pros - a king bed, a queen, a bunk room which had plenty of space for the pack and play we brought - about a 6 min walk to the beach boardwalk.. maybe 8 min total each way to the sand. This alone is the huge reason to stay here. We went back and forth to the condo for nap times and it was so easy along the bike path! - 2 min walk to the pool, right across the street - quiet secluded area that was perfect for morning and evening walks. We walked to Cougar Point for happy hour, quick drive to Harris Teeter, easy to get anywhere. - Front porch and back screened in porches were ideal for coffee, wine, and grilling. We enjoyed having a gas grill available - in unit laundry .. full size plus drying racks - small starter pack of kitchen paper towel roll, dish soap, TP roll, soaps; towels and linens included. Make sure to bring your own laundry detergent. - Susie was very communicative and easy to get in touch with. - wifi and tv worked well for mornings - large dining table for evenings The only cons were having to bring all of our own beach chairs, beach towels, etc and a somewhat small kitchen but we spent most of our time outside so it didn’t really matter. We would definitely recommend this property and stay here again next year.

beautiful setting - close to beach. Not the fanciest of accommodations- but still very nice. Kitchen could use a bit of updates-( disappointing to have no can opener) Overall a great rental!

Perfect for our 2 week getaway!

This was our first time to come in February and bring our dog. The condo was very clean and in a great location! For being a dog-friendly condo it was really nice. Right by my favorite bike trail and close to the beach. The condo has what you’d need to cook on the grill or in the kitchen. Bed was comfortable. Loved sitting on the private deck on sunny afternoons. Thank you for a great trip!!

Family Beach vacation

Sparrow Cottage

The location of property was great, and the owner was very responsive, and quick to take care of a minor problem. But the place was not clean, the dishes were dirty and had to run them through the dishwasher before we used them. You could tell there were nose prints and hand prints all over the sliding glass doors. The out door furniture was very dirty, we had to clean that off before we used them. Also the one bathroom had hair in the tub. Its not the owners fault because she is relying on a trust worthy person ti keep the rental clean, just take Lysol wipes with you and Lysol spray and check out the dishes before you use them!

Lovely location

We really enjoyed our stay here! The property manager was very responsive. I asked a question and pantry supplies and was told nothing was provided… and I mean nothing. Be prepared to pack up your spices, baking supplies, salt/pepper. That is my only criticism. Was inconvenient cooking but luckily I knew that ahead of time because I asked. Also, bring your own hand soap for bathrooms, kitchen, etc. Location was great and it’s a cute little space for one family.

Great vacation, great cottage!!

Loved our stay… great, convenient location. Exactly as advertised… Tidy, well-stocked kitchen, and the family room and bedrooms/bathrooms were perfect. Everything we needed for a great home away from home. Quick walk to the beach and fun runs to Freshfields. We’ll be back for sure!!!

In 2007, a friend on nearby Seabrook Island asked me if I would help her rent her villa also. Since I loved helping people plan their vacations in the area, I obtained my South Carolina Property Manager's License and began a business - Kiawah By Owner.
