This apartment is located in the heart of downtown Sitka adjacent to St Michael's Cathedral within walking distance of everything you need; restaurants, shopping, bars, harbors, grocery store, library, hiking trails and Sitka Fine Arts Campus. Across the street visit the Sitka Library or Harrigan Centennial Hall where you can watch the Russian Dancers perform during the summer months, visit the Sitka Historical Museum or attend a performance of the Summer Musical Festival.

The apartment is located on the second level of a downtown commercial/residential building. The main floor has a Mexican Pizza Restaurant, a consignment store and an Art & Jewelry Gallery. On the lowest level you will find a Food Co-op and Botanical Beauty Studio. Also, on the lowest level we feature a stunning mural from a local artist. The second level is a combination of long term residential apartments and vacation rentals. The building is locked in the evenings and accessed with a pass key. The building has an elevator for tenants and guests only and the key to the elevator is provided after check in.

The building has 2 entries and will be locked in the evenings. The apartment is located on the second level so stairs will be necessary to access the apartment when checking in. An elevator key is provided after check in. Guests have an access key to use when the building is locked.

The apartment has everything you need to be comfortable and feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal, just bring the food. We provide basic spices, coffee and tea. The apartment has captivating views of the surrounding mountains, ocean and Crescent Harbor. There is a tv with Roku to add your favorite streaming app and if you need it, wireless internet.

Perfect place to stay in Sitka

What a great apartment. We enjoyed the central location and easy access to hiking trails. The apartment was so clean and equipped with everything we needed. We felt right at home and our hosts were very helpful with some questions we had about luggage, etc. Wonderful experience.

Convenient to all our activities, Very comfortable beds and linens

Thanks for another great stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our six nite stay in Downtown Sitka. Fishing activities were excellent and the cruise ships are back in town again. Hopefully the tourist shops can re cover from a long dry spell in customers. Cute town with lots of charm.

Great location and as advertised

Property was super clean and in a great location to town. If you read the details of the property and know what to expect, you will not be disappointed. Entry into the place is slightly cumbersome but does not detract. Owners communication about late arrival process was more difficult than it needed to be (took three messages when it could have been accomplished in one). Would definitely stay again

Convenient location, but ...

When a dwelling is advertised as 2 bedroom, it is kind of reasonable to expect solid wall between them. Partial walls that don't reach the ceiling offer no sound privacy. Otherwise it is a cute apartment which is well furnished, and offers a nice view.

Sorry to say I would not recommend this property. It was advertised as a 2-bedroom apartment. There are 2 bedrooms--sort of. The bedrooms are separated from one another and from the living room/kitchen area by partial walls, not floor to ceiling walls. This means there is no noise mitigation at all. So if there's a noise issue (snoring!) or if the occupants of one bedroom want to stay up later watching TV than other guests, there is no reduction in noise at all. The other problem was transportation. We did not rent a car in Sitka expecting that there would be cab, Uber or Lyft service. There is no Uber or Lyft service in Sitka apparently. A number of cab companies show up online but we were only able to get one to answer the phone. That was Bayside Tours. One cab driver made multiple trips to and from the airport in order to transport all the travelers on our flight from Seattle to their accommodations. She was great but there was only one of her so it took over an hour for her to get to everyone. Getting back to the airport was also an issue. We had an early flight -- needed to be picked up at 4:30am. The Bayside Tours driver wasn't able to do that trip but she referred us to someone else who could. Shout out to Bayside Tours and the great guy who picked us up at 4:30 in the morning!

Comfortable and great location

We spent a week at this place. We found it very comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the location being within walking distance of so many things. Having laundry across the hall was nice. Loved the view!

Wedding trip

Great property close to shops and the airport. Very clean, quiet, and pretty views of mountains and ocean. Property owners were very responsive and easy to reach. Bring quarters if you need to do laundry because they were hard to find. We had an amazing trip and would definitely stay again.

We liked much about the property. Its location, the quiet, general appearance and provision of items to support our cooking. We would like to suggest that the guide tell renters how to turn on heat. If in fact these are owners more support would be great. Ie when we could not figure out how to turn on the stove burners there was no response. Overall the stay was good.

1 Problem only. The Toilet is too low to the ground. Also the Toilet doesn't flush correctly it only swirls, but if you hold the handle down for about 30-40 seconds it will flush. Otherwise, it was a perfect place to stay. Would recommend it if they fixed that!

Downtown Sitka Visit

Location was as presented. Clean and location is walking distance to shops, food and historic sites. Kayak and whale trip left from dock across the street. Kitchen equipment was fine. Room was quiet with coin operated laundry across the hall. Apartment had key for elevator! Would recommend could sleep 4 easily

Short stay

Great location, very walkable to restaurants, shops and attractions. Comfortable space. Rooms are separated by a wall of cabinets open at the top, so you can hear what is going on in the room. Not a problem for us though

This location was awesome. Very clean apartment with stocked amenities. Right next door to wells fargo and very short walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shops. We would definitely stay here again.
