Location is great but it fronts a busy street so the noise of trucks and cars can disturb your sleep. It’s a basic setup, beds are hard and squeaky. It did not meet my expectations for the price I paid. On a positive note, the location is excellent.

Sitka wedding

It was fine and worked out perfectly as a location to sleep over the weekend. We were very busy and spent little time in the apartment. It was noisy on Friday and Saturday nights after midnight. People leaving bars and walking or driving were loud.

Family long weekend in Sitka

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location in the center of town to walk lots of places. A bit loud at night because it is in the center of town and next to a cinema. We initially had trouble getting the key pad to open the door, and we happened to arrive in Sitka when there was an island-wide wifi and cell outage, so it was impossible to contact the property manager. No one's fault there. It was clean and had all the necessities to cook for ourselves and space for us and our toddler. Beds were not the best. Ultimately, it functioned well as a home base, but we spent most of our time out and about exploring.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We finally found it, after several attempts on our own, from the description provided to us. We had to call the property manager to finally find it. The property is definitely in the middle of the market area. Our rooms were facing the main street. The entrance stairs have an awkward angle to them, so you really feel off balance going up. The rooms were very clean and tidy. There are broken blinds in the living room and bathroom. We were not used to hearing the traffic, vendors, and the thousands of tourists making noise. This made sleeping in, not possible. We could hear a loose sewer cover being clanged by every vehicle, day and night. There were maintenance and construction crews working on an adjacent area, which added to the ambiance. There is a small tv, which you have to figure out yourself, and only works with your personal streaming services. The apartment is well furnished with appliances, dishes, and cooking utensils. The toilet may or might not refill, so be prepared to toggle the valve in the tank. The heat works fine, but no air conditioning, so the ambient light coming in through the broken blinds would raise the temperature quite significantly. We were definitely motivated to leave every day to go somewhere more quiet. Overall, I wouldn’t want to stay there more than a couple nights. The town has many attractions, and that’s what makes it worthwhile.

Returning to Sitka is always special as we are both from SE Ak. I can hear the ravens from our room. See an eagle overhead and beautiful snowcapped Arrowhead mt. fills the view from the living room window. Forks WA has none of this. What we do have in common is the rain. Today as we ready to leave the sound of the rain is comforting. In Forks it is just wet miserable rain.

Centrally located and spacious apartment in the heart of downtown Sitka.

We enjoyed being able to be within walking distance of sites and shops. For our family it was a great location because we prefer walking and connecting with the local community.
