Wonderful place for a family gathering

Stayed here for a week with 5 adults, 2 dogs and 4 kids. It was perfect. A really magical place to bring family together.

Great house. Plenty of room and was close enough for Floydfest.

We had 3 couples and a single friend and had plenty of room and parking. Hot tub was great too.

Family vacation

We rented this beautiful cabin for a family vacation. It was a halfway point for our family that lives in PA and FL. The cabin was beautiful and the hosts were amazing! Would definitely rent from them again.

Beautiful setting!

We stayed at this beautiful property and went to Floydfest. The home was so comfortable and had everything we needed. The view is beautiful and we enjoyed looking at it from the hot tub! We would certainly book this one again!

Great vacation.

There was plenty of room for friends and family in this beautiful house. We loved the deck and the peace and quiet. The owners are very responsive and helpful.

Remote But Very Nice for Family Gathering

Great rental for our Family Reunion / Men's Golf Outing. Kim and Andy were great to work with. Everything was as advertised - clean and well supplied. Would recommend to anyone needing a larger place for a family get to together.

Large, nicely furnished log home cabin near Meadows of Dan

We enjoyed our holiday stay. Large open areas for family time together. Well supplied kitchen. Responsive owner, housekeepers and handyman. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway attractions, some closed in the winter.

Great memories made

We had a great time. Family get together for Thanksgiving and everyone had a fantastic time. Rooms are well spaced out, plenty of common area, and large kitchen. We made some great memories there.

Weekend Getaway

Super nice cabin in the mountains everything was as reviewed in the photos on line. Kim was very prompt to answer any questions we had with checkout and we will definitely rent again.

Beautiful house

The house was large and lovely, and communication with the owners was swift and easy. The two young girls in our party loved the built-in bunks. The hot tub was a great way to end the day. Great views from the porches!

Nice weekend in the mountains

The home was clean and had plenty of space for our group of 10. The hosts were very responsive to our notes and emails. The location was remote but gorgeous. We loved our nights in the hot tub.we were pleased with our stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for an escape to the mountains.

What a wonderful lodge

Our stay at Kim and Andys lodge was everything we could ask for in a vacation rental. The location has a beautiful view from the hot tub. It was not too far from town to get groceries. The space fit our large party for an unofficial college reunion and it is unanimous that this lodge would be a contender for another group vacation.

The hiking trail up the mountain is a year round path but the summer heat and rain cause it to get grown up like the rest of the woods and terrain on the mountain this time of year . During the summer it is a little more of an adventure until the fall comes and it thins back out. In the winter it is more akin to a single lane road bed than hiking trail. Great home for a weekend getaway

This was a great home that is well equipped with the needs for an escape to the mountains and country. Quiet and tranquil. The homeowners were very responsive and communicated well. We’ll be back at this house in the future

Lovely Getaway

My family really enjoyed being able to get away from the city and avoid the spring break crowds. The cabin was clean, spacious and beautiful. We did lose power one day due to a really bad storm but we made the best of it with the provided oil lanterns and candles and spent the evening playing games with our kids. Thank you for a lovely retreat.

Lovely Isolated Cabin

We stayed at Andy and Kim's and absolutely loved it! The house is gorgeous and plenty large, even for our party of 10. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cooking instruments and we had absolutely no issues during our stay. The only minor complaint we have is that the listing has five bedrooms, but the fifth bedroom is really just a small den; it has no doors or even a curtain separating it from the hallway.

Hi, thanks for the review. We are glad your group had a good time at our home and enjoyed the kitchen and amenities - it is one of our favorite parts of the home. Regarding the "5th bedroom", that's the first time we have received any sort of feedback about that area but you are correct, it is not a completely private room with a door that closes it off from the rest of the basement. That's why we have the description listed as "Open floor plan with twins, shares bottom floor full bath". Maybe we should consider adding a divider of some sort to increase privacy, something to think about, thanks. Thanks, Andy and Kim Smith
