Location, location, location. Just wake up and stumble to the sand in this beach abode. Numerous restaurants/bars right down the road. Historic downtown just a 15 minute drive. Bring your dog; bring your Netflix/Hulu passwords for the whole house is WIFI suited with Tv's in each room. Grill here or eat out. Perfect place for a family with kids or group of friends. Lighthouse and sea turtles! FUN! 4 bedrooms ; so will sleep 8. Marsh views in the back; slight ocean views in front. Huge fenced in beautiful backyard with fire pit and hammock We have about 8 beach chairs, a couple boogie boards, a wagon to haul beach stuff, a tent and umbrella, PAC n play and baby stroller- we Don’t supply beach towels

We had a great time! The house and location were perfect. Just as is stated in the description, you’re literally steps away from the beach. The house is clean, comfortable, and provides plenty of space, including a large fenced-in back yard, which worked great for our four-legged family member. Marc is a wonderful host. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend this house to anyone traveling to the Folly Beach area!

Great communication with the property owner. The house is perfect for gathering with family. It has such a Folly Vibe. Enjoyed the yard and fir pit and watching TV while we grilled.

So close to the beach!

The property was just a short footpath away from the beach. The outdoor shower was fantastic and the beds were very comfortable.

The house was clean, comfy and spacious. Great fenced in backyard that our dog loved. The best part is the beach entrance is just across the street and then a short stroll away. Marc, our host, was very responsive and answered all our questions promptly. Would definite rent here again!

Perfect place & location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The proximity to the beach is so nice & the fenced yards for the dog was great to. Had all the space we needed & we had a wonderful time. We hope to come back again.

Great Location

We had an awesome stay! Location is awesome- just across the street from beach! Plenty of grocery store and restaurants nearby. House if just as described- with plenty of room for whole family. Great communication with host and quick response to questions. Will stay here again!

Great location

Location was perfect! Not near busy part of beach and just a walk across the road to the beach access. Great communication with Mark the entire time we were there. Plenty of room both inside and outside to enjoy!

Perfect family house!

A lovely, comfortable beach house! The location is wonderful. We rented golf carts to get around the island with the kids. We had ages 6-70 & everyone had a great time.

Memorial Weekend Celebration

very old school traditional Folly beach house - we had 6 adults a teenager and a 2 year old and had enough room to relax both inside and out. LOVED the backyard area which was perfect for relaxing in the evenings by the firepit. Our dog loved being part of the vacation as well! Marc is a very responsive host and was great to work with for the long weekend. Thanks again for the hospitality, Marc!

Wonderful pet-friendly getaway

Marc was great at communicating and the property was a wonderful fit for our family and pets. The location is just steps away from the beach. There is even a yoga class on the beach just beyond the public beach access point. There was plenty of parking for our car and the golf cart we rented. Marc kept us informed of the HVAC work during our stay and ensured we had window units while the work was carried out. We really enjoyed the back yard, outdoor shower, and quick access to the beach. There was plenty of room for everyone and we will definitely rent this property again.

Christmas on Folly

Enjoyed a carriage ride downtown the night we arrived. Our adult son was diagnosed with Covid on Christmas Eve so we enjoyed a lot of time by the fire pit. The back yard was perfect for our oyster roast and the little ones enjoyed playing outside. Loved walking across the road to enjoy the beach. Would definitely recommend this property!

Super comfortable and close to the beach!

This house was perfect for our large family and two dogs. We felt like we were at home. The house was very clean, beds were so comfortable, and we loved that it’s literally across the street from the beach. Mark is an extremely gracious host. My kids accidentally broke a window; and he was very understanding. He communicated with us, throughout the repair process and before and after our stay. I highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back.

nice updated older beach cottage with great wifi and tv's throughout bedrooms and large living room tv. great location 1 short path walk to beach. Nice neighborhood. 1 full bathroom on 1st floor and 1/2 bath in basement along with washer/dryer. Outside shower for rinsing from beach. New kitchen appliances so nice for storage and cooking. Nice sun porch too. Nice new fence all around property -- really nice for our dog.

Great location

We were a little late on booking a place this year and were happy to find something still available this close to the beach for the 2 of us, our 7 month old and our 2 dogs. The fenced in yard was fantastic for the dogs and very secure. The house is an older home, so don't expect the open bright layout of a newer place. You're really paying for location with this spot. That said, it felt nice and clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. As other reviews mention, the beds were comfortable. It was so easy to get to the beach which was nice considering all the stuff we now haul for a little one ;) Owner was very nice and responsive!

Great Beach House!

Great beach house. Great yard. Amazing location. Very helpful and responsive host with great communication. Nice sized house, well equipped. The yard is awesome. Fully fenced in. Nice fire pit and cool outdoor space. The best thing is the location. It's so easy to walk to the beach on the path right across the street. It takes literally 1 minute to walk there. The beach is really nice and was not at all crowded (though we were there in mid-August so maybe past peak season). We would definitely rent this house again. We had the best time. My wife and I agreed this was our best vacation since our honeymoon to Hawaii 11 years ago!

Loved our stay

Really great place to stay. Nice fenced backyard, so room to run for your pet(s). Foosball table was a hit with the kids. Location was great, not as congested being down the road from the middle of Folly. Quick walk across the street to the beach. No houses between you and the beach. Lots of parking. Would definitely stay again.

Perfection

Everything about the home was great. The main living area was comfortable and family friendly. The three upstairs bedrooms have plenty of room and the downstairs bedroom with its own shower and 1/2 bath is a nice space separate from upstairs. The back yard certainly extends the living space -when it’s not too hot - either under the house or in the yard. Speaking of the yard - it is perfect for a dog! Marc is a great host and tremendously responsive to any question. We are already checking next year’s calendar to pick our return dates.

Amazing at the Folly

First it is with sincerity that Marc, the owner was an absolute wonder to communicate with. I appreciate his ongoing communications with my son and with me to support and make our visit an amazing experience. The house was absolutely fantastic. The simple walk over to the beach was perfect, the beach was not crowded. And even though it was a public beach access, the people who came seemed to be half visitors (like us) and have locals who did yoga, surfed, or just hung out visiting with friends. Back the property....the house and grounds were spacious. Enough to be able to have alone time, gather around the fire pit, eat meals together at the table, and sleep comfortably. Having a basement and an upstairs offered places to store your bags, wash/dry your clothes, take two showers at the same time, but also just stare out the windows that surrounded the house to enjoy the neighborhood. And the location was great for us. Just far away enough from the main roads to keep traffic noise and visitors away, but close enough to enjoy a short bike ride into town to eat at the great restaurants, drink at a bar, or visit any of the fun stores in town. Marc will have us visit again. Great job Marc! And Thank you!
