Located in the heart of the Northern Hills recreational corridor and just outside of Lead/Deadwood, you'll love the convenience to great things to do like ATV/snowmobile riding, skiing/snowboarding, hiking, fishing, and much more! In minutes you can be jumping on the local trails adjacent to the subdivision, loading up on the chair lift at Terry Peak, playing table games at a local casino in Deadwood or staying in with your feet kicked up by the fire and enjoying your family and friends you brought with. Mount Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Keystone, Custer State Park, caves and many other local attractions are also only a one hour drive away from the cabin. Whether you're visiting to take in some local popular attractions, some R & R, or an adventure filled vacation, Jackalope lodge will provide you with that truly memorable cabin experience you've been dreaming of.

After days of exploring and enjoying the local trails, scenery, and attractions, coming home to this wonderful cabin is sure to be a favorite part of your vacation. Located on a great lot, there's wildlife that frequent the area and you'll never forget taking in the starry night skies from the 6-person hot tub! There's a great amount of space with 3,600 sq. ft. as well as the 3 car garage. The open living and kitchen area is filled with natural light with large windows with great views and dark wood beams accenting the ceiling and setting the mood for that cabin feeling. All the appliances are brand new and there's a large granite countertop island perfect for entertaining your group. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and ready for your upcoming vacation! A beautiful rock fireplace and a flat-screen TV are in the living area to enjoy on those nights in and there's Dish network on the living area TV's, WIFI at the property and Netflix on multiple TV's. Laundry is also conveniently located on the main floor. There's two main floor bedrooms both with king beds and private bathrooms as well and a wonderful deck leading off the main living area that you won't want to miss!

On the lower level there's a perfect mini bar, pool table, large flat screen TV with sectional and don't forget the arcade game with 3600 games!!! There's also some great board games, a Wii game system in the bunk room and an under-the-stairs playroom great for kids!! The two bedrooms on the lower level are perfect for some added privacy and there's a great patio leading off the main living area that includes the hot tub. Whether you're in the area to relax and connect with some friends and family, or for an adventure filled vacation making memories, you'll love your next stay at Jackalope Lodge!

The Jackalope Lodge was beautiful! Had everything we needed, which is rare to find in some rentals. It was the perfect size for the 6 of us. I would definitely stay here again!

Well worth the money. The layout of the house is very comfortable. Family Stay in The Black Hills

We had a great time. The lodge had so many amenities! It is within 2 hours of so many different national parks and monuments. It made for easy day trips to Mt. Rushmore and devils tower.

Great property!

We have absolutely no complaints about our stay here! The beds were comfortable, the house was spacious, the neighborhood was very nice and Budi had great communication! Thereā€™s plenty of space for trailer parking and multiple families to stay in the house together! We would stay here again if we return!

The only reason I can't give it 5 stars overall is that the pillows were terrible, very small and flat/thin, we didn't sleep well with them and of course getting a good night's sleep is an important part of a stay. If they would upgrade the pillows would stay there again in a heartbeat...if not, we'd look elsewhere.

Great stay

This house is perfect for staying with our extended family. There is plenty of space to spend time together. The kitchen, dinning and living area was great to spend time all together. The bedrooms are large and had plenty of bathroom space. The hot tub and pool table were also great. Had a great community building with a heated outdoor pool. Located close to hiking.

AMAZING place to stay!

Our group consisted of 11 people ranging from 4 years old to mid 40's. We absolutely LOVED and ADORED this home. We cooked all the meals, laughed around the table, played pool, played video games, gazed at the stars, looked at the mountains and played in the pool. We were able to spread out, there was plenty of room for us and we enjoyed the decor as well. If you are looking for a short term rental, this is the place to be.

The door from the house to the garage would not open the second day we were there. I called but no one ever came. It was not fun loading our cars having to drag everything through the snow. We had to shovel the front landing and sidewalk ourselves.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Jackalope Lodge was a wonderful homebase for all our large family's adventures in the Black Hills. We had 8 adults and 2 under 3 yrs and it gave us plenty of space for relaxing and spending time together after daytrips. The kitchen has a large island that allows several people to food prep and serve meals at the same time; so thoughtfully laid out (I wish I had this kitchen at home). The hot tub was clean & functioned well during our stay, although the bracket holding the cover was in disrepair and would not hold up the cover when open. The community pools were a great plus on the hot days; we wished the splash pad water spouts would stay on longer than 5 minutes every half hour but we just entertained ourselves in the other 2 pools. The development is right off the highway but we heard no traffic noise at night-the wind in the pines was a soothing sound to enjoy when outside. Having use of the 3 car garage was really appreciated, too. Really a great house in a great location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was amazing and well equipped. Amenities were perfect. There are a couple of things that caught us and seemed odd. There are no dimmer switches available for the lighting and some were just too dang bright for a quiet night after riding hard. The main thermostat is on the wall in the upper floor hallway, however the bathroom door when left open completely hides it. We felt a bit foolish to have to ask where it was. Strange home design for that.There were a couple of damaged items that the management were apparently aware of but didn't mention. Once we highlighted them they indicated they knew and were working on repairs. I think maybe leaving a list for new guests so that they don't worry about owning the damages and losing their deposit might be a valued effort.Last, they provided cell numbers for immediate contact however when used for text we got no response or indications that they ever received them.Overall I highly recommend this house and assuming we return with such a large crew, we hope to rent it again.

Awesome Family Vacation

We spent the 4th of July weekend at Jackalope Lodge. Everything was perfect! Great weather, close to amenities, great cabin! Love the bunk room for all the kids, 6 double beds in one room made for lots of laughter and memories, even a tv and a wii for the kids! Playroom was a great bonus for hide and seek, would be great for little kids. We played lots of pool and kids had an arcade tournament. Cupboards were well stocked with board games and the kids got their use of the wifi as well! Adult bedrooms all had king beds, upstairs both had wonderful private bathrooms as well. Every single blanket, rug and pillow it this cabin is the softest coziest thing you will ever find! Well appointed and decorated! Loved using the large 3 car garage and it also had a nice wide level driveway, would be a great asset in the winter. Kids loved going to the community pool, we didn't get to check out the clubhouse due to covid restrictions but they were glad the pool was open! We loved this property and would definitely stay again!
