A spacious home at an affordable price - historic building surrounded points of interest, great restaurants, antique shops, fantastic ecological reserve, milongas (tango clubs), and it's just 4 blocks from the Puerto Madero waterfront. Great for friends or family. A shopper's paradise. Located in the heart of the action, yet very quiet - only a block from Plaza Dorrego (site of the famous Sunday Art & Antique Fair). San Telmo, where old world charm meets trendy shopping, restaurants & nightlife. Step back in time into the cobblestone streets of San Telmo and you get a feel of how Buenos Aires was a hundred years ago. This was the place that people aspired to live before the northern suburbs became popular. 4 balconies. Furniture & appliances were chosen to make your stay as comfortable & convenient as possible. Fully set up kitchen. Beds include a queen, 2 full size & 4 twins, Hi-speed internet & Wi-Fi, local phone. We are on the second floor, with one elderly neighbor below. As the building is heritage, we have stairs to access our apartment.

Ruben was very helpful. The location great to shopping and the market was wonderful. We did not cook but everything you would ever need was in this great kitchen. Everything was neat and clean.

Beautiful home in great neighborhood!

This home was clean, quiet, and comfortable and in a prime location! There are many restaurants, cafes, and bars within a short walk with easy access to other points of interest. Would definitely recommend!

This is a wonderful apartment in a stupendous location. There are multiple restaurants and stores just steps from the apartment, and something is always happening nearby. The neighborhood feels like Montmartre and the apartment is a comfortable, well-equipped, visually lovely pied-a-terre. We had few concerns, and the issues or questions we had were addressed promptly. Our family of 8 had a marvelous stay and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful vacation, fabulous place to stay

Shared the vrbo with family and there was plenty of room for everyone. Beautiful and centrally located spot with easy access to shopping and public transportation. Our host was very accomadating and helpful. We all enjoyed our visit to Buenos Aries!

Fantastic!

This property was large, airy, well equipped, air conditioned and in an excellent location. It was easy to get a cab and many interesting things were within easy walking distance including great restaurants and cafes. We absolutely loved the area and would go back to this apartment in a heart beat. Can’t wait to go back to Buenos Aires!

Outstanding experience!

This was a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. The owners were great and their agent in BA was superb. He is friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and super responsive. We had an absolutely fantastic time and would definitely stay in this apartment again! Thank you for everything!

San Telmo Stay

We loved our stay in this apartment! The pictures and descriptions were incredibly accurate and we felt right at home in this spacious apartment -- with a fully equipped kitchen, large dining room for board games, and family room. The hosts were incredibly responsive and the check-in process was in person, which helped us exchange USD for Peso (which is super important in Argentina). Ruben, who helped us check-in, was incredibly helpful, giving us recommendations and history about the neighborhood. If you're looking to stay in San Telmo (which isn't necessarily central in Buenos, but is the oldest and a charming neighborhood) -- this is the place for you!

Outstanding Host and Location

Our local host Ruben had a driver meet us at the airport, met us for a briefing of amenities of apartment and local attractions, arranged tickets to a Tango Dinner Show, and gave us a full day tour of the city (all for a small extra fee). Doesn’t get more welcoming that that - one stop shop for a weary and first time traveler to Argentina. Location was two blocks from some of the best shopping, restaurants and bars in the City including the indoor Mercado. Plan on a Sunday stay, the best day of activities in San Telmo. Outdoor markets and music was amazing. We’ll be back Ruben and Janet!

Highlight of our South America vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this St. Telmo's Apartment. The place is beautiful and located in the older neighborhood of St. Telmo which is very charming and an easy walk to St. Telmo's Market where we could find a variety of places to eat and some shopping. Our host's recommended Ruben to us for transportation and a tour of the city amongst other things, like exchanging currency and answering many questions. We met our hosts on our last day there, they let us keep our luggage at the apartment for a few hours before we had to leave for the airport and they couldn't have been more gracious, even helped us to carry our luggage down! A wonderful experience, would highly recommend to stay here.

I had to "star" each item in order to submit this comment. Please note we didn't actually stay here. Sadly, coronavirus complications didn't permit us to stay in Buenos Aires. Janet was so understanding and fully refunded our rent. If we once again have a chance to visit Buenos Aires, we will certainly choose this rental.

Great Location - should improve the unit

The owners do not live in the area, so they don't know how badly this property has been cared for. The PM got the cleaning crew to come back the day we arrived, but it was not well stocked, couldn't figure out the oven, needed a match to light the stove, furniture and rugs worn out and the ancient dishwasher wasn't working. Hopefully, the owners have taken notice and will change things. The location can't be beat!

Wonderful home away from home

We just returned from 10 days in this great apartment. It is spacious enough for eight adults to be together for dinner or talking and yet everyone could have their own private space as well. The kitchen is great and we took advantage of the local foods three times to make our own Parilla! The property manager is Ruben and frankly we all want to return just to spend more time with him and to have more of his great cooking! We were greeted at the airport by him, he showed us the apartment, gave us an amazing tour of the city and was helpful in just too many ways to list. He found us a tango show, tango lessons with Alejandro Puerta (a must) and a wine shop Vinotango (the best wine selection and ask the owner to sing for you). The place was immaculate, well stocked with kitchen and household items, having 110 available was real advantage to our group of i-pad lovers. The wifi really made us feel at home. The location in San Telmo made you feel immediately that you were a local. Everything from great bars, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing are within walking distance. The buses are also close by for those trips to other parts of the city. If you are a family or a group of friends this is a great place to stay!

Not luxury that we expected?!

We were very excited to get to our place in San Telmo!! ALL the reviews said it was amazing, but unfortunately we didn't get what we saw on the internet?! The appliances were VERY dated!! The washer, heater/air conditioner, and dishwasher didn't work very well or not at all. The house was not very clean and I'm quoting 2 teenagers who noticed! Stained towels and bedding!! Also we were not provided with enough towles and had to go out and by our own toilet paper/paper towels!! We had 5 people in our family and we could not take a shower at the same time due to the pressure and quantity of warm water, which was a bummer?! Also the pressure in 2 of the 3 showers were either too hard or not at all?! Ruben was very nice and tried to help us with the issues we had with the apartment. The location of the apartment was amazing for everyone!! The balcony was great when we finally opened the shutters!! We were told that they were going to be doing a lot of upgrades soon and bummer that we would not see how great they would be!! But again the location was wonderful for shopping and site seeing!!

Lovely, historic apartment

Our group of birders truly enjoyed the flat. The space was accommodating, comfortable, and spacious. And the neighborhood? Absolutely delightful! We we quite close to transportation, tourist attractions, and neighborhood charm. Walk a block and you'll find a pharmacy, groceries and dining options. Our group was there during the World Cup play-offs. Argentina was playing Australia and the entire neighborhood was filled with song and cheers as the Argentinian team scored and won. A must-stay place in Buenos Aires!

We absolutely loved our stay in your beautiful home! Great location...all the comforts of home! Our only surprise were the stairs to the apt with our luggage! Wish we could have stayed longer! Ruben was also fabulous! He arranged our pickup and departure and the Tango Dinner Show was a huge highlight of the trip! Everything about arrangements with the owners and our stay went smoothly!
