This roomy rental, with plenty of space for up to 10 guests, features a contemporary-styled dining and living area, plus an upgraded, well-equipped kitchen. On-site, Summer House offers a host of amazing amenities including a beachside, outdoor pool, heated indoor pool, fitness center, sandy playground, fitness center, and tennis courts.

Experience regular live entertainment and ride the Ferris wheel at the Wharf, just six miles away. Arrange a fishing excursion through Zeke's Landing Marina, only two miles from your rental. And if you're looking to spend some time outdoors, explore the 6,500 acres of Gulf State Park, accessible via the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, less than two miles down the road, or take a drive down to Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge, just 16 miles west.

Please note that group rentals are not allowed at Summer House on Romar Beach. No more than 5 units may be rented for groups of any kind. Any bookings found to be in violation of this policy will result in a fine of $500.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Orange Beach! Our condo, Summerhouse 903A was very nice. It was the cleanest condo that we have ever stayed in upon arrival. It had all the necessary amenities, and we didnā€™t need anything. Everyone including staff and guests were super nice and helpful. We will definitely come back again sometime. Thank you all for a great vacation!

Functional but beware

Pictures do not accurately depict the cleanliness of the space. Ice machine broken which is unfortunate for a hot summer beach trip. Some guests needed to work but WiFi was broken the first two days. Handle on freezer was broke. Blinds in third bedroom look mangled by an animal. Overall, the space was functional but Vacasa seems to not properly manage spaces or keep them in the best possible shape prior to renting.

We enjoyed the condo

The condo itself was enjoyable. Parking was a drag due to construction. Guest services gets an "F" -- for the customer trying five days straight to get help. But help never came until it was time to go. Our issue was not dire, but it was a bother and potential danger for us having small children with us. I repeatedly reached out each day to remind guest services that our issue was not resolved. At this point I believe that if I hadn't continued to bring it up, guest services would never have brought it up again much less taken care of it.

Good for the price

The condo location was great. Pool and access to the beach was great for the kids! The condo definitely needs some updates, though. One of the sliding doors (the one through the den) to go on the balcony was broke and was extremely difficult to open. The kitchen sink disposal was broke as well. One of the drawers inside of the refrigerator was falling off too. The condo was pretty clean for a beach condo when we arrived. Towels were pretty rough and uncomfortable to use. It was pretty good for the price overall though.

Great view of ocean , room nice size and great location , for the bad sheets not correct size and would not stay on bed, lights missing bulbs , stove had issue with not clean and refrigerator had slight issues but overall very nice place

Very nice

Well appointed and plenty of room. The only issue was there are a few lights out in kitchen fixtures and a lamp. A few spare bulbs would solve that. The place was very clean when we arrived. While the beach is a little crowded you can walk a short distance to a less sparse area.

Stay comments

The property was not maintained well and seemed to be in need of repairs and painting. Overall we had a good experience after we recovered from our first impressions. Property did not have basics like paper towels or garbage bags .., pots and pans were old and not safe to use because of flaking Teflon.

Very nice condo, right on the beach! Plenty of room for my family. Easy walk to the beach. The condo had everything we needed for a fun stay!

Wonderful stay. Horrible Property manager

Our room here was absolutely wonderful. We had planned to rebook for a stay in March. However, on the day before we left, I received a call from Steven (however he may spell it) from Vacasa. The main purpose of this call was to assess the time we would be leaving the next day. When he was told by check out, he then explained how they needed to get the condo ready for the owners that would be coming down and it needed to be cleaned at their earliest convenience. I also was never e mailed check out instructions. I had to go to Vasacaā€™s website and search for check out instructions. The only e mail I received regarding this manner was asking if we were ready to check out. No instructions attached.

We had a wonderful time.

The room was very clean. The owner was extremely helpful when we had a question about using our portable electric smoker. We almost enjoyed staying in the condo as much as we did on the beach! We will hopefully be back!

Wonā€™t stay there again. Parking a major issue! Condo needs repairs.

My main complaint would be he parking. There are not near enough spaces at the complex. Overflow is across the street on the boat yard. No shuttle. This is the main and most congested highway, so be prepared to run across back and forth. 13 vehicles in main lot with no parking tag, but security told me they have to allow 48 hours to move vehicle before they can tow. Both rooms with single beds are very uncomfortable. Master had a fan that makes a lot of noise on any speed. Marks on the paint throughout. Cleaning was not up to par, but I always wipe down bathroom wherever I stay. Bedding on sofa couch had peanut butter cracker crumbs and smeared peanut butter. They did however leave an extra set folded in a bag in the living room. Condo could definitely use a fresh coat of paint, some minor maintence repairs and new mattresses. And if youā€™re going to charge a cleaning fee, you may want to have them actually clean.

The condo was bright

Need to upgrade small appliances they are at least 25 to 30 years old, The mattress in the master bedroom was very hard and uncomfortable and the fan in the master suite was noisy and ran very slowly. Kitchen could use additional silverware and plates. DVD player in the family room did not work and was able to be replaced by maintenance. Customer service was very responsive each time we needed them. I think the whole unit would benefit with a little bit of an upgrade, plus the mirror wall in the dining area had a big crack in it as well as the one on the closet doors in one of the bedrooms.

We loved the property but will never stay there again.

If I were going to buy a condo, that is where I would buy, it was beautiful and quiet, and we really enjoyed it. The only thing is we will never stay there again because of the refund policy. I have never in my life seen a policy this bad. First of all, the form they send you to sign goes half way down and then there is a place to sign, so you think you are through. But unknowingly to you below the signature starts a whole page of rules that you do not know about, until your mother has a heart attack and you find out you cannot cancel. We needed to change to a three bedroom instead of a two, but we had to keep the two bedroom, because we would lose the half down that we had paid if we changed, even though we had only made the reservations within the 60 day limit that we knew nothing about. So, although we loved the place, we will never stay there again. My mother had heart surgery 3 days before we came down there, and we had to put her in the car and bring her down so she would not lose her money she had paid, which at the time was the entire amount of the weeks rental. So she went and stayed in the condo all week.
