INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Perfect place for family with teens.

We loved everything about our stay. The condo was perfect! We have 2 teens who each brought a friend, the set up worked just right. The location was effortless, Pier Park is a block away so plenty to do. It rained one day and Dave and Busters is right around the corner. I can’t rate it high enough!!!

Family vacation

This was our first time in Florida and this place was perfect for our family of 12 staying. It was good walking distance to various places. Would highly recommend and stay again

Late Summer Getaway

Love staying at Calypso. Condo was very nice and up to date. Bed was comfy. Beach service was great. The only complaint we had was that the listing on VRBO had not been updated from 2022, which advertised beach service and 2 chairs included. They weren’t. Evidently, Panhandle Getaways Marketing department is responsible making sure the listings are correct, but according to the agent, “VRBO puts what they want on there”. Panhandle Getaways refused to honor the outdated listing and we were out another $650. They were nice enough to offer a 20% discount, but we would never have rented this particular condo if we had thought it wasn’t included. Other than that, we had a great time.

Perfect getaway

The property was exactly as described. Very spacious and incredible views. Everything was a smooth process and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Will definitely be back in the future!

We loved the property and the location.

Everything was great with one exception. The crew at the chair rental were very rude. My daughter has a skin disease called Vitiligo and needs to stay out of the sun. When we arrived at the beach at 4:00 my daughter asked for an umbrella explaining her skin condition. They refused and said they would be picking them up in 10 minutes. After about 15 minutes I went up and explained the situation again and they still refused. They do not pick up the chairs & umbrellas until 5:00 (which I think is to early). They also drove around in their utility vehicle playing inappropriate music very loud.

Calypso Resort

Overall our stay was fine. However the first night we got there we tried washing clothes, and found out the Washer Machine's lid was not locking. We had a load of wet clothes for a week in the washer. It took 4 days to get a vendor out to look at it only to find out that it wouldn't be repaired until our stay was over. Very upsetting.

Beautiful Unit - Exactly as pictured

This unit is gorgeous! Great location, freshly painted, modern, well appointed, fantastic view and mostly clean. I wanted to give 5 stars but communication with check-in was horrible, plumbing in the hall bathroom could not be resolved, and we waited from 9:45am to 5:30pm for a cooking skillet. A small amount of dishwashing liquid and a few extra garbage bags would be really helpful. Overall, this unit is very nice.

Awesome condo!!!

Our family of 5 met in PCB for a week vacation. Our last 4 nights were spent at Calypso W-706. We had a HORRIBLE cockroach experience at Tidewater Resort just days before 😡. Here at Calypso W-706 our experience was amazing! The condo was the perfect size for us all. We cooked in most of the time and the kitchen was sufficient for cooking full meals. The refrigerator is not connected to the water line so there was no ice or filtered water from the water dispenser on the outside of the refrigerator. The living room was very comfortable for EVERYONE!!!! Don’t you just hate it when they allow 4 or more guests, but there’s only comfortable seating for 2-4 people??? All the beds were extremely comfortable, too. I would suggest the owners put an extra blanket in each room for people like me who get cold at night. They allow you to use your bathroom towels at the pool and there is a washer/dryer to wash them. They have very nice patio furniture! Some of the best we’ve ever seen on the patios. We have another owner suggestion...your lovely condo could be cleaned a little more thoroughly. Maybe a monthly vacuuming under the beds, other furniture pieces and the rails on the backs of the table chairs to get rid of the dust bunnies. We didn’t have babies with us so it wasn’t as important, but we’ve stayed in the area for 30 years and we know how important a clean condo is to return guests. Your have a LOVELY home away from home...thank you for sharing it with us! Lastly, check in was awesome and flawless! The girls at the desk have got it going on!!! We couldn’t check in when we arrived, but they treated us great, let us change into our bathing suits to use the pool while we waited, and let us check in as soon as the room was ready. This will be our go to spot on our return visits to PCB!!!

Overall everything was fine with the exception of no air conditioning for 2 days. I ask Panhandle Properties about compensation for not having AC but never got an answer.

Calypso room 706 west

My sister’s family and my family (total of 7) enjoyed our stay. We loved being right on the beach. The only problem we had was the A/C. The first two bedrooms never seemed to get cool. The rest of the condo would be freezing but those two rooms stayed warm. Also, the ice maker didn’t work in the refrigerator, which made packing a cooler for the beach aggravating because we had to keep buying ice. Overall, our experience was great! Perfect location and would consider staying here again in the future.
