Five miles down the coast, discover all the shops, restaurants, and other attractions at the Coligny Plaza Shopping Center. For walking paths, boat tours, and a unique archaeological site, don't miss the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, just a little over five miles from your front door. And be sure to head to the Sea Pines Beach Club for dining, a beachfront bar, and access to a fantastic stretch of sand, just seven miles away.

The perfect place!

We loved everything about this condo! The pool and beach were a hit for our kids. It also had everything we needed, including enough toilet paper and paper towels for a family of six. Palmetto Dunes is also a beautiful resort and has been our favorite place to stay on the island.

Great condo - great location in Palmetto Dunes

I took my 2 teen daughters and 2 of their friends for a graduation trip. This condo was perfect for 5 people and would have easily fit 6. We all loved the quiet screen in porch off the back. It made rainy days feel special. the door between the living room/kitchen is so helpful early in the morning and late in the evening. The full laundry is always a bonus at the beach. The large front porch was helpful to keep our beach gear out of the rain. The walk to the beach is an easy 5 minutes or less depending on how much you are carrying and the closest beach access is bike friendly. Would love to stay here again.

Lovely furnishings but sparse on necessities. No dishrags, towels in kitchen to clean up with.

Excellent location and stay

Located in Palmetto Dunes. Great location, less than 5 min walk to beach. Condo was clean and spacious in the Palmetto Dunes area, but very private. 7 of us stayed and had plenty of room. The outdoor screened in porch is wonderful. Spent a lot of time out there on comfortable furniture. Had 5 deer outside the porch one afternoon. Used the grill several times. Our unit Location was just across the small parking lot to the pool. Spent time between pool and beach. Kitchen was fairly well stocked. Could use some extra bowels and serving wear. I did bring some of my own kitchen utensils to use. Washer and dryer were nice, but a bit loud when running. There was a large supply closet outside front door that had beach chairs, pool toys, beach wagon and boogie boards so you don’t have to bring any of that. Unit had a lot of extra blankets and pillows so no need to pack extra if you don’t have to. Nice TV’s in family room and Master. TV in second bedroom was not working ( no cable box) so we reported that to management. Had no complaints or issues. We would stay here again. I did talk to others in the complex by the pool who mentioned that their units were outdated and worn, this one was in good shape, a little touch up painting and it would be perfect.

great proximity to beach

Best part about the property - location. This was what I was looking for. It was just a short stroll to the beach carrying umbrella and chairs...not huffing long distances with all the beach essentials. It was also a quick walk to the general store and pickle ball courts. The property was nicely decorated and we enjoyed the extra space in the screened porch. Would definitely go back!

Great location at 5 Haul Away, #8

We couldn’t have been happier with the villa. It’s location with easy walking distance to the Beach, beautiful pool and nicely decorated unit. Only suggestion is to provide beach towels, chairs and access to the two bikes that were locked up on the front porch. (Perhaps at an additional cost) Traveling from CA, it would have been nice to have access to these. We had a terrific stay and hope to return again next year!!

Relaxing Retreat

My family Had a wonderful time! House was very clean and well stocked with dishes, glasses and cooking essentials. Perfect location in Palmetto Dunes for bike riding, walking to the beach and just relaxing. Very well kept!

Excellent Stay Close to Beach

We really enjoyed this condo. The screen porch was great and the condo was very clean and well stocked. We also loved the short walk to the beach as compared to most places on HHI.

Hickory Cove 8

Great central location, short walk to the beach and complex pool or walk / bike ride to tennis, general store, etc. Newer updated kitchen and baths. Screened in porch was a game changer for enjoying mornings and evenings outside. Only real negative is the thin wall between the unit next door means you can easily hear your neighbors.

Wonderful Palmetto Dunes condo!

We had a fantastic stay at Hickory Cove 8. Less than 5 minutes to the beach and a fairly quiet section of the beach too which was nice. The condo is beautifully decorated and has every amenity needed especially in the kitchen. Comfortable beds, new and spacious bathrooms and we LOVED the screened porch - favorite spot to hang out. It’s also walking distance to the tennis, pickle ball and General Store. We loved all the bike paths and biking on the beach. Close to great restaurants and shops. Great stay and we hope to he back. Highly recommend!

This condo is gorgeous, but it was not clean

This condo was beautifully decorated and in a perfect location, but the cleaning crew did a terrible job. We spent 90 minutes cleaning when we arrived, before we felt that it was safe to unpack and settle in. We emailed photos of the filthy conditions and received a prompt reply. The property manager refunded our cleaning fee, which we appreciated. The actual condo was gorgeous; it actually looks better in person than it does in the photos. The newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen were spacious and comfortable for our family of five. The location is wonderful; a nice, short walk to the beach and the general store (a favorite of our kids). The bike trails in Palmetto Dunes are fantastic.

Awesome covid19 getaway!

This was a great week-long stay for my family of 6. Property is as pictured and described, excellent, clean, updated. I appreciated the desk area in the master bedroom because I had to do a bit of work while we were there. And having 3 full baths was awesome! For 6 people, we needed one more chair in the den if we all wanted to watch a movie together, but we had brought a camping chair with us that we used for that purpose, so it worked out fine...just something to keep in mind if you are bringing more than 5 people. There is ample dining seating between the table and bar (together those seat 9). It is super close to pool (just across small parking lot) and a very short walk to the beach access. We loved Palmetto Dunes and biked everywhere. I would definitely book this property again!

Great getaway

We had a wonderful time. Property was very clean and neat. The neighborhood was very family friendly and the beach was great- our access was not crowded at all. The back porch was wonderful for the kids. We will be back!

Loved that we already had key codes and parking passes which made it easy to get to. Also, the unit was very clean and updated. Wish it was a little closer to the beach but not a bad walk

Nicely renovated unit, new appliances, neat, clean and the beds were comfortable. I would choose this property again. The kitchen could use a few more items, a spatula, for example. The bathrooms are very tight on space, but new and clean. The parking situation leaves something to be desired. It seems some units are rented to people with 3-4 cars. This was a quick, easy walk to the beach and general store. My kids had a great time and this is a great until for a family with kids. The pool does have some sharp edges - 3 of us got cuts while swimming.
