Not As Good This Time Around

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed at Beacher's Lodge four times now, but unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment and not up to their usual standard.We booked our rooms well in advance and when we arrived, the check-in staff member wasn't very friendly (though we were willing to overlook that at first). What we couldn't overlook was the unexpected condo complex construction going on right outside, which we were never made aware of beforehand. There was literal construction banging on the wall while our kids were trying to nap. To make matters worse, the pool is advertised as heated, but it wasn't heated at all during our stay. We stayed in the "Gold" rated room, and the pull-out bed was in such poor condition that it was completely unusable.I expected much better, especially as a repeat guest. I reached out to management about these issues and received no response. Needless to say, we were not impressed this visit.

Great Stay with Friends!

The staff was really accommodating when I made a mistake with my booking and the property was great. Loved the beach access and short drive to the Historic District. Would definitely go back again.

I travel a lot and the staff at this Beacher’s location was by far the nicest most pleasant staff I have encountered in a VERY long time. The pool was heated and was amazing. The beach access was directly from the pool area to the beach. Steps away. Love md the stay and will stay again

Beach stay

Good location. Easy access to the beach. 15 minutes from downtown St Augustine. Fun restaurants nearby. Clean and dog friendly.

We had a pretty good stay. The location was very good, the beach view is obstructed with the dunes that you can't walk on. We enjoyed our stay, however there's much room for improvement. The sofa bed was absolutely disgusting and very uncomfortable. I tried to communicate with the booking manager, i never received a reply. We saw a live cockroach. Several things were broken: towel hooks, patio door lock.The king bed was very comfortable. And the pool area was nice. The beach access was awesome, as well. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Thank you for taking the time to offer your insights. All of our oceanfront units do offer a kitchenette, some do have a full range others have a stove top and no oven. All of our units are individually owned so they do vary. We are glad you enjoyed our location and we loo forward to seeing you in the future.

Beautiful beach, calm stay

We loved our stay. We love the beach and convenient access walkway. Very nice heated pool. Housekeeping was great for anything you needed. Towels etc.and were very helpful and pleasant. The furniture was not as clean as I would have liked. I guess many people stay and are maybe not as considerate.

Short Spring Break Trip

We stayed 3 nights so it was a short trip. We would usually get at a 2 bedroom but this was prefect for a few nights. The condominium was maintained, quite, and the staff was friendly. The unit was accurate to the pictures at the time of our stay. There was an ice-cream shop, pizza place, and a gas station directly across the road. It was a short walk to the beach with an access code gate. Would recommend.

Beacher’s Lodge-Fall 2022

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first visit to Beacher’s Lodge was wonderful. Suite 127 was fantastic. I see why it has received its gold rating. It is very spacious and had everything you need to enjoy your stay. All of the furniture was comfortable, including the king sized bed. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back. Cannot wait to book our next visit.

The absolute best place to stay in St Augustine

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been staying at the Beachers Lodge for years. I have never had a bad experienc. My kids call it their second home. They fell in love with it also. The rooms are very spacious and affordable. I love how each room is decorated differently. The beach front property has the most beautiful sunrises. I highly recommend the staying here. It is a great place to start family memories for years to come.

Wonderful stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo itself was perfect and the location was so great! There was a glitch with housekeeping - you have to put a DND sign on your door when you have a dog, then set up when you want housekeeping to come. We called and set up a time, then when we returned and it wasn’t done, the woman at the front desk said, “well, housekeeping is gone for the day - what do you want me to do?” Kind of rude. But we got clean towels and sheets, and the housekeeper, who was lovely, came the next day and apologized profusely.

Fantastic location but very small

The condo is right in the ocean and just a short walk over the boardwalk to the beach. There is a bar, pizza place and ice cream parlour right across the street. The AC works well and the property staff is very caring and friendly. Be aware that this is a very small condo. Even though it sleeps 5 (3 on sleeper sofas), just the 2 of us felt cramped. The kitchen has virtually no counter space. It’s very difficult to prepare meals in this tiny kitchen. Also note there is no dishwasher so you must clean dishes by hand. The condo is well furnished and kept up.

Thank you Victoria, we couldn't agree more. This condo, while it allows 5 people (1 king bed, 1 queen sleeper sofa, 1 twin sleeper chair)... it is ideal for a couple. Each condo here is a bit different, so if you are looking for counter space and a regular stove, then we have a few condos that fit that description as well. We are so glad that our staff was able to take care of you kindly, we hope to welcome you back any time!

Pretty locale!! Some probs with fold -out couch.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pretty place. Loved the locale & walk out to the grass & wall with dunes & greenery. Beach is beautiful! The fold out couch could NOT be used. It was essentially metal springs with material over it. My friend had to sleep on the couch as is. No pitcher or blender in the kitchen; i purchased & left them. Otherwise perfect location- master bedroom wonderfully comfortable.

The owner of this condo has updated the sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress, so hopefully this will improve the experience for future guests, thankyou for the report!

Cement dust everywhere.you could write in the cement dust on the furniture which was not cleaned.
