This rental is located on floor 4.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location

The condo was outdated but the location made up for it. The cleaning crew came into the unit as we were packing up to go home. We had most of our stuff packed up but it was odd and I had personal items in kitchen and they just walked right in.

Spring break

We came for spring break. The property was nice, the unit needs some updating. The bathroom/shower leaves a lot to be desired, it needs better airflow to keep mold from growing on the ceiling in the primary shower room. Otherwise it was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice property location

First time in Hilton Head Island and this area, Palmetto Dunes very nice. Pickleball which I play and tennis courts. Biking etc. The beach is amazing. Weather was iffy at times but I enjoyed. The unit needs updating which I would suggest owner do. One chair was broken when I got there and immediately reported. Matt was excellent when he found out about and had fixed but took 26 days to get someone there. Other issues that I reported and should be fixed according to maintenance. I would stay at Villamare resort again.again.

The location is great and within walking distance to have a lunch or dinner. The Villamare amenities are top notch, but this home needs a few upgrades.

Good stay.

Check in was smooth. Upon arrival, there was a note on counter from cleaning crew that oven wasn’t working and they told management. I also texted Vacasa about it. We never saw management during our stay and had no oven. We also weren’t give beach gate access code or serenity pool gate access code. We had to make two phone calls to Vacasa.

In need of a lot of TLC

This place is in a great development, but the condo is in sad shape. Furniture is broken or worn out. The bed is rock hard. There are dangerous sliding doors on each shower. The balcony doors are impossible to open. It's clear there has been no significant upkeep done in a long time. There are a lot better condos in Villamare for the same money. Look elsewhere.

Golf tournament

Location was great. Ocean, pool, grill and golf. Good time with friends. If you are a very picky person you might not want this unit. The price was right.

Locked out. Near impossible communication. Vacassa in no good.

Delay in check in. Onerous verification process. Excessive time to get help. A total of more than one hour loss due to inoperable entry lock, no response from Vacassa host. Shower door broken. Entry lock broken. When telephone for help, preferred suggestion is to select 9 for faster text help. Text response was the next day apologizing for delayed response. Upon trying to enter on Saturday, the entry code did not work. Finally connecting with someone at host Vacassa, she tried but could not help. I offered a solution to allow me access to the key box at entry. She offered a couple of combinations that did not work. She finally found a third that worked. I use a physical key for the remainder. Closet stuffed full of cleaning supplies where clothes are to hang. There was a separate owners closet that is secured. Accomodations were clean. Water has a very strong odor of sulfur. There is damage on walls that should be noted along with broken shower door. Entry system is not dependable. The entry lock is dated and noticeably worn and precarious. Contacting host is unacceptable.

Great location - gross condo

The condition of this rental is unacceptable, especially considering the rental rate, and is one of, if not the worst, vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The photos of this unit are HIGHLY misleading; I truly wish we had heeded the warnings of other reviews. The proximity to the beach and view of the ocean do not compensate for the condition of the interior and furnishings: filthy furniture (stained and dirty chairs, cracked and dented lampshades, entertainment console missing a knob, patio furniture missing cushions and the ones present are stained with holes, all bedroom pieces cracked or otherwise in disrepair), stained carpet and area rug, holes in sliding blinds, curtains on guest bathroom doors are fabric and absolutely disgusting, innumerable gouges and dents in walls and doors (you expect some of that in a vacation rental, but there’s so much damage it’s unbelievable), both shower sliding doors are broken and off track, our children put their clothing in the armoire drawers and they became absolutely putrid smelling, all paintings and decor are hung haphazardly and crooked, kitchen without basic items, bathrooms had a continual foul odor, mystery light switches with no function, lamps and alarm clock in guest room not functional, cheap disposables (trash bags, toilet paper, etcetera), the world’s smallest television in bedroom, the list could go on and on. Overall the condo was gross. There are some positive attributes: proximity to the beach and the room views

Don’t do it! Horrible horrible horrible!!!

This is the worst place I have stayed in years. It’s absolutely filthy from the ceiling to the floor. Furniture is dirty and run down, walls and doors are dirty, and ceiling has holes and dirt and grime. I expected outdated based on pics but this was terrible. Only 2 burners on stove works, laundry doors and shower doors falling off, pet stains everywhere on carpet. Find anywhere else! Horrible horrible horrible.

Don’t rent

We have been coming to HHI for over 40 years and this property was the most outdated and dirty of the bunch. Only one burner on the stovetop was functioning.

Outdated and broken

Aside from the location this was not a great rental. Very outdated furniture and appliances. 3 of the 4 burners on the stove didn’t work, blinds were detached from doors and sliding doors were hard to open and close. Be prepared to provide EVERYTHING for yourself. There wasn’t as much as an extra garbage bag in the condo. Light switches were very confusing and didn’t work properly. After a day we realized that the elevator on the building only worked if you hit the down button. Even if you wanted to go up. The condo complex seemed very nice and many other condos looked like great places to stay but I would not recommend this property. I would be wary of other Vacasa properties after this rental, as well.

Fun stay for family

Set up of condo was great for traveling with our two kids. Check-in and check-out process was kind of a pain having to drive to a separate location for both. Condo was well-stocked, great views and easy to access all parts of the property. We would return!

Great location, had everything we needed

Overall, the place was great; there were a few items that need attention, like no toilet paper rod in the second bathroom, and the stools at the kitchen counter are missing screws, but they were so minor that we didn't even report them. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay very much and the location was perfect as we were primarily there to watch the pickleball tournament, which we could easily walk to from our unit, but we did also enjoy the beautiful view and the refreshing pool!

Labor Day

Great location, quiet area, comfy beds, great beach access and really enjoyed HHI. I would just keep an eye on the cleaning; we found an open Oreo package behind the couch when we opened the curtains. Stuff happens, but glad it wasn’t there long enough for bugs to come.

Great stay in Hilton Head

Our first trip to Hilton Head and Villamare 1410 was great for our short stay. This is in a condo development with ocean views, beach access and access to the bike trails, kayaking and other amenities of Palmetto Dunes. Spacious condo with a nice layout. Clean with a nice ocean view although not directly on the ocean. Probably due for a refresh of the bathrooms but they’re clean and work fine. We will be back!

Beautiful Palmetto Dunes

Condo has a gorgeous view and the lay out is awesome! Palmetto Dunes is gorgeous and so much to do there . Great location on the Island!

Spring Break 2021

This condo is perfectly located and the grounds are maintained well! The master shower does not work and the blinds in the second room don't pull open and those were the main issues with the condition of the place - otherwise in pretty descent shape (although the complex is aged a bit)

Great location!

The location of this condo is great...right on the beach. We also liked the fact that the units bedrooms were on opposite sides of each other. Didn't like the fact that visitors had to pay $25 to come see us for dinner (we ended up having them park across the way and went and picked them up). It could use some TLC, around the master bath mirror, carpet and lots of dings and scratches. Also, the toaster did not work :(

Overpriced

The condo had a great view, but the furnishings, appliances and decor is outdated. The doors to bathrooms are unable to be locked and use wrapping paper to provide privacy. The management provided by Vacasa is extremely poor as well. We will not be returning to this property in the future.
