Great family vacation home with less than 100 steps to the beach and no street to cross.

Experience South Carolina's southern charm in this great vacation home located in Wild Dunes, the premier resort community on the Isle of Palms. Enjoy the beach, the intra-coastal waterway, two championship golf courses, tennis and pickleball. Wild Dunes Resort is approximately 20 miles from historic Charleston and the Charleston International Airport.

Located on a quiet oceanside cul-de-sac in Wild Dunes, this home features a large well-equipped kitchen, with separate ice machine and two refrigerators! Four porches, all with breathtaking beach, ocean, and golf views! Dining room overlooks the Links Golf Course and the rooftop sun deck has great views of the ocean and golf course. The dining table seats 16, the island seats 8, another table seats 4 and a porch table seats 8 for a total of 36. This large home provides a great balance of open living areas and privacy with plenty of quiet spaces!! Eight flat panel TVs; Free WIFI serving only this home.

Linens and cleaning included in price. No pets. No smoking.

Accomodates 22. Ten bedrooms, six bathrooms, and two enclosed beach showers. The bathrooms are served by a high capacity gas Rinnai water heating system—you will never run out of hot water and can use all showers simultaneously…

Annual family beach trip

This was our sixth year at the house, and we enjoy it more each time we come. It is perfect for our large family of sixteen. There are plenty of bedrooms, and we could all sit around the large dining room table for meals. It is also close enough to the beach that you can run up if you need a break from the sand and salt water.

The layout was perfect. The location has excellent proximity to the beach. We have stayed at multiple VRBO‘s in the past. The kitchen is the most well equipped we’ve seen. With the family room on the entry level, the upper level, the porch on the upper level and the rooftop deck, there is ample space for people to find privacy if they wish. The bedrooms are all good size. There were 17 of us. The beach is beautiful. We had fun introducing grandkids to spotting sand crabs with flashlights on night time beach walks as well as some body surfing during the day. A well deserved four star property..

Wonderful family vacation!

Well situated to the beach as well as grocery stores. Lots of room for the family. The stairs were difficult for the older folks but the young ones were not disturbed by it at all. I would definitely recommend this home!

Great location at the beach

We enjoyed our stay, and there was more than enough space for everyone. The kitchen/living/dining was perfect for our group to hang out together. The beach is very close and beautiful! The location is about 35 min. from downtown Charleston. There is plenty of shopping on Isle of Palms and also in Mt Pleasant.

Perfect beach house!

Everything was perfect! The house was close to beach. All of us had our own rooms. The kitchen was fully stocked. We enjoyed the decks, ping pong table, all the details that made our stay so pleasant. We would definitely rent this house again!

Wonderful Isle of Palms vacation in large Wild Dunes Home

The home we rented was delightful for our large family! It was so clean, attractive, comfortable, and roomy. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining room table, chairs, and bar stools seated all of us. We loved being so close to the beach. It was definitely our best beach vacation! Would love to go again!

1Summer Dunes Lane

This is the fourth time my family has stayed at 1Summer Lane. They have made great upgrades to this home over the past 8 years. It is well stocked for large groups and the location is perfect. I would recommend this home especially if traveling with multi family.

Great end-of-school getaway!

House was perfect for our large family. Lauren did such a great job of adding so many extra amenities. A large library of books for all ages, and even a ping pong table under the house. There were enough bedrooms for the 6 grandkids to have spend-the-night parties (every other night). We would like to return next summer!

Family reunion

Very nice. Very close to beach access and pool. Great accommodations. I would gladly return for another family vacation there. Lauren and her dad were very helpful. It was a great pleasure to work with Lauren. I was very unhappy with the Wild Dunes staff when trying to check in.

Wow. The rennovations are great

We stayed here before and enjoyed it very much. It is even better now. Our large family fit very well. Our family of 19 all had their own space, and the family rooms and porches were wonderful. The kitchen had more equipment than our kitchen at home. We will be back.

Excellent property

Wonderful house for our group of 18, we had a wonderful time and used house from top to bottom. The four 20-24 year olds made much use of the ping pong table and hangout space on the ground level as well as the roof top deck. The gathering spaces were perfect for family gatherings in the living room, dining room and deck. The kitchen was stocked with more than we could imagine and had everything we needed for large family dinners.

Off-site retreat perfection

Eleven of us met for a two-day leadership development workshop. We needed separate accommodations and bathrooms and a nice large meeting area for our daily work. The house was perfect (though we would have preferred to each have our own bathroom). The living room area was well lit and the television provided a perfect PowerPoint presentation situation for the room.

Wedding stay

Overall this property was great, it met our needs and the location was perfect. The only downside was the concierge service, we were not aware we would be dealing with them for things like extra towels and kitchen supplies. Requests were usually a day late. But that experience does not diminish how much we enjoyed the vacation home.

The best!

Our family had a wonderful visit! I have never stayed in a house that was as well stocked with everything! There was even a Bundt cake pan. There was never a lack of towels. The air conditioner worked great on every floor. The water pressure in the shower was great. We loved being so close to the beach and being able to come home whenever we needed. The kids loved the ping pong table. Lauren was wonderful to work with. Thank you!!!

Family Tradition at the Beach House

This was our 8th consecutive year we’ve stayed in Wild Dunes and the 3rd at the beach house. We have 6 grandchildren and they consider the house their own for the week. We have 16 in our family and we unanimously agreed to stay at the house the same time next summer. Lauren has done such an excellent job making the house livable—a well stocked kitchen and ample bedrooms for our 16! She makes improvements to make it more special each year.

Family Reunion

Overall the house was perfect for our big family. We had people travel in from the Carolina’s and Florida. 19 people in total ranging from 4 to 75. There was plenty of space for everyone to gather, or have their quiet time. The only complaint we had was the amount of towels and toilet paper, but we did read on the last day that we could have called to have that stuff delivered. Oh well…

Family wedding

Property large, some beds not comfortable, note on fridge not to use elevator not disclosed before rental. Large complex being build 20 feet from rear of house. Construction noise Monday thru Saturday, construction workers wearing masks while sandblasting, couldn’t use decks while sanding. Woken by 7:30am to construction noise, Put a damper on family vacation.

Hi Maureen- I'm sorry you didn't have the best experience. I understand the inconvenience of not being able to use the elevator, however, that is why we don't advertise in our property description that we have an elevator. If the elevator were to malfunction, we don't have anyone to come repair right away. I also understand your frustration with the construction next door. Hopefully they will finish it soon, but that is beyond our control. I hope you were able to enjoy the beach and amenities.

Marvelous Family Time

Sleeping configuration perfect for all 19 of us!! Plenty of space for individual family activities: jigsaw puzzles, cards, some people had online work or studying. Kitchen and dining area well set up. Beach access lovely!! Even carts in the garage to cart our things to the beach!! Wild Dunes policy of no grilling took some working around, but would not stop me from reserving this unit again. Lauren answered our every question and was the perfect "hostess"! She even made suggestions that enhanced our visit. Would absolutely rent this home from Lauren again.

Family Vacay#23

Great week. 19 of us included 5 little ones 7-2 years of age. Location to the beach was awesome…less than 5 minutes. House offers great views of the ocean. Only draw back is the house has four flights of stairs…I counted. House has an elevator but not for guest use. We are all active and fit but those stairs were tough daily. Overall great house for a large group. Well stocked kitchen. Bed linens and towels provided…that’s always a plus and the beds were made upon arrival. House was very clean! Overall a great week at IOP!!
