Penn Wood welcomes you! We are long time members of this one-of-a-kind lakefront community, and are opening up our cozy lake house to share with you! You'll have a comfy space nestled among the trees, just a short walk from a beautiful shared lakefront with a swimming area and lots of places to explore.

Penn Wood, like most lakefront communities, prohibits rentals of 30 days or fewer. Only reservations of 31+ days are permitted. Please message us if you have any questions or concerns.

Our Wally Wally lake house has a full wrap-around porch with a grill and a comfy hammock you'll want to snooze in. There's a sliver of lake view and a wonderful feeling of being among the forest. Inside, there are 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms & 3 separate living areas. There's a large garage and plenty of parking space in the driveway or on the road in front of the house.

The community is one of the oldest and most charming on Lake Wallenpaupack. My sister and I spent every summer here as children and would not trade it for the world. The central lakefront area of the community is “The Beach”, a gathering place with swimming docks and a running creek full of cray-fish & salamanders. It's a beautiful place for a walk: large enough to take a long walk, but small enough to easily cover the entire community. All roads are unpaved (part of Penn Wood's charm) but hard-packed and easy to tread on. Deer sightings are common, and lightening bugs will join you on your nighttime strolls.
